Leo patted the king's shoulder and kissed Yashweh's forehead befores tanding and moving to Elliot. "yes, we all should rest. you most of all." he smiled at Elliot and started to get a space ready for the fur of them to sleep. Yuki and Rin were nearly out after the song, Leo's voice always having soothed them. he lay them down first, circled rong by a wall of pillows, and then pulled Elliot down onto their own cushion, curling with him. "good night." Tsume shifted into his wolf form and lay down near the entrance, guarding them all while they slept since he would hear anyone approach. Oliver looked from Leo to Yashweh and slowly crawled nearer to the prince. he knelt only a foot or two away, knowing Yashweh had wanted him to sleep beside him, but not sure if he would anymore.

Yashweh, Chelsea, SalehElliot smiled softly at the other, helping him with the new form of bedding before being forced to lay down, chuckling and resting his head on Leo's. "Sleep well." Chelsea sat there curiously, looking at Tsume who could shift into a wolf, then to Elliot who could shift into a lynx. Kashi back home could shift into a hare. She looked at her hands, curling her fingers like claws. Maybe she could turn into a bear, then she'd be horrifying. Oh well. She moved onto the other side of the babies and laid down, giving a small sigh. Oh well, she'd ask her dad another time. Yashweh opened his swollen red eyes hearing Oliver move closer, reaching out his hand toward the other and tapping his fingers. Even if it was just Oliver's hand, Oliver was his only friend here so far. he sniffled, deciding to move closer to Oliver instead, Saleh following behind while still combing the hair. The older brother would be at it for a while, mostly for comfort and somewhat to clean it out. It seemed that Yashweh hadn't undone it at all since he left.

Oliver glanced at the prince's hand and watched him move closer, so he moved a bit closer himself, letting them just barely touch. his hand he turned over so that Yashweh could hold it if he wished. He kept his eyes down, though, taking in the beautifully woven carpets and rugs, simply waiting to be needed. Leo knew he was going to have a hard time sleeping. he just couldn't get his mind off of what was happening here and the guilt that filled him. he relaxed his body and closed his eyes, waiting for everyone to fall asleep so he could wander a bit and hopefully wear himself out

Yashweh, Chelsea, SalehElliot was the first to awake in the morning, the heat becoming unbearable as he sat up, rubbing his face. The sun signaled it couldn't have been past five in the morning. He groaned and rubbed his face, looking for the water pitcher and seeing the dark haired brother still awake. Saleh himself glanced over and the two stared, Elliot slowly standing and making his way to see the boy's work, realizing it was a map. He made a motion, asking to sit and the Latian moved over allowing him to do so. Elliot saw little clay figures, as ambiguous as they were, but each with a different symbol etched it, and some figures had weird humps on their back, though he quickly realized these were the Kaspians. The map showed what the Kaspians had taken over or destroyed. Latians were nomadic, any place of rest had been marked off, destroyed and tainted. Few settlements remained, like this one, and the numbers of Katians to tribe members was astounding. silver eyes made contact with red ones, and Saleh just gave a small, sad smile. This was war, they were not prepared to fight such an enemy. They discussed silently as the sun rose higher, Yashweh waking up and stretching, sitting up slowly with unbraided hair. "What's for breakfast?""There should be some naan in the basket. The goats have yet to be milked." Saleh responded. Yashweh crawled to the small shelf, pulling out a basket and opening the lid, not a lot of bread. A second basket was grabbed and opened, met with grain. A handful was shoved into his mouth, ripping off a small piece of bread before they were placed back and Yashweh was once again laying at Oliver's side.

Leo had spent most of the night wandering, only coming back to feed the babies and make sure they were sleeping soundly before leaving again. he was trying to think how he could help these people, what he could do here in his desert. he was a healer and a water manipulator, his healing would be useful, but there wasn't much water. he could take it from the air, which would be more work, but it was possible. the sun was starting to rise when he returned to the tent, checking on his family, and surprised to find Elliot awake. he smiled a little and patted Tsume's head, the wolf having woken with each of Leo's coming and goings. Leo inclined his head to Saleh and sat beside Elliot, looking over the map. he could guess what everything meant, but it was looking at the crossed out water holes that he figured out how he could help. "these, have they been poisoned?" Oliver woke when Yashweh moved away, ever a light sleeper, but when Leo spoke, he sat up a little and translated around a yawn, his small fists rubbing at his eyes.

Yashweh, Chelsea, SalehThe small translator and Leo's voice made him look over, lowering his head in a greeting before responding. "We're not sure how many have. Some have left and returned to poisoned water, no water or clean water. It varies and from what I understand. Not all of this village is Latian, we have some Titian with us as well along with a few from the Ravis down south." He sighed softly, looking over the map once more as though he'd missed something. "Those camps have been torn down and stragglers go to where there is clean water. Ours is thanks to the elder.""What I don't understand is how you have an elder when the Retian territory is believed to have lost theirs." "We don't quite understand it either. Our assistant pri-- I mean or current priest, had been traveling when finding her. She is still very weak and very new to us, so we do our best to protect her.""Kasp's attacks must not be helping in her growth." "Not at all. But she is stubborn like the sun, so there is that to be thankful for. Are you hungry? I can go fetch some food for you and your party."Yashweh sighed, knowing he couldn't avoid it much longer and sat up, staring blankly at the wall before going to a larger basket on the floor, opening it and shuffling around for clothes before pulling out black ones. He had to prepare himself for the mourning tent.

Leo nodded, "i can help with the water. i am half water faie, i can bring it back and clean the water that has been poisoned." it was small, but at least it was something, "then the people can return to their original lands. but first we must deal with Kasp." he looked at his husband, "I was thinking of calling in the dragons. Pix would be willing to help and they could fight against flying beings. the Kaspian wings are delicate, the dragon clans would have the advantage over them," Oliver watched as Yashweh got black clothing out curiously, but he made sure to translate everything. was Yashweh going away? then he would have to stay even closer to master, he didn't want to be taken away either. Tsume got up and moved to Yashweh, leaning against the boy briefly to offer his support before shifting to his human form and giving him a small hug. even without words, he knew Yashweh would understand.

Yashweh, Chelsea, Saleh"But a lot of these take days at the least to travel." Saleh explained. "And we are already so few in number we do not wish to brin any spirits from Falia here. The desert spirits are agitated enough with this battle.""Pix has eggs to take care of and Kasp has means to destroy anything." Elliot said, "There's no need for war if all they require is a signature from me." He looked over at the wolf sleepily before freezing in fear as it shifted and hugged him. Good god he was scary, and huge. Why was he so huge up close. He gave a nervous smile. "Thank." and began stripping right there, catching Oliver's eye. "I'm going to the mourning tent. Black is a color of mourning for Latians. So I need to change into it and wear it when I enter the tent.""All changed.' Chelsea said, giving the boys their new Falian clothes. "Little wrigglers, the both of you."

Leo sighed, but nodded. "Dragons used to live in desertlands, they might be welcomed back by the spirits, but i understand what you are saying. i just am not sure i believe they will stop because of a simple signature." he trusted no one, as a rule, except those who had proven themselves. "oh, thank you, Chelsea. sorry to leave the work to you." Oliver nodded, having finished translating he spoke to Yashweh directly "i am sorry for your loss. i hope we see each other again before we go."
Tsume smiled and patted Yashweh's head before going to the boys and picking them up, the babies familiar with him and happy to be held. "so, when do we get started?"

Yashweh, Chelsea, Saleh"They've stayed out of our country since we've banished them." Elliot shrugged. "We'll just need to lay down the rightful law that they should stay on their island." "But you can't stop them from appearing everywhere. Can you?""All of the north is allied with Nalaenir at this point, minus a few recluse nomads and primitives, so for the most part the north is a very dangerous place for the Kaspians. Retia is split between Falia and Nalaenir as well," when mentioning Falia he motioned towards Leo, "So Anyone in Retian territory has two countries supporting them." Saleh stared in shock and disbelief. The entire northern part of the world? "That... you could control the world." And his stomach flickered with fear and this suddenly powerful man, his husband equally powerful if he did indeed rule Falia. How, honored, to be having help from such a king. How incredibly frightening as well. Yashweh smiled, finishing his dressing and running the comb through his hair again. "I shouldn't be gone for so long, but until then." He picked up a clean wrapping, wrapping the boy's head with it and letting the ruby hang. "You can hold on to that for a while." And grinned, not going to tell Oliver he was wearing the second son's ruby. No doubt Oliver could guess it. "But the sun has risen and I should be gone. Hopefully I will see you before you leave. Bye Brother. Kings. You two too.""Do not drown yourself in tears, Yashweh." Elliot said, giving him a small goodbye nod. Chelsea did the same, watching the boy leave before turning to Leo. "It's all right. That's partially why I came as well." And smiled before the babies were snatched, maternal bear instincts making her glower at the taller man before cleaning up the boy's things. "Ah, they should be returning, the Kaspians. I am unsure when." he was so under-prepared. What did one do in this situation?

Oliver stared at Yashweh, his shock obvious. he shouldn't be wearing this! he shouldn't be wearing this! he tried to take it off and give it back, but Yashweh was already gone. his shock was so great, it actually caused him to forget to translate for a moment. when he remembered his place, he quickly spoke, fixing his mistake. what did he do? he couldn't give it back now, did he give it to the older brother? would the brother be angry that something so precious touched a head as filthy as his? Leo saw the touch of fear in Saleh's eyes and smiled softly, touching his hand, "it just happened to be that way, we are not a warmongering people. i am the son of the first born prince of Reta and the Leader of Falia. with the death of Reta's king, the kingdom came upon me. Believe me when i say, it is not a position i desired, but one that was thrust upon me. we divided Reta because we felt it would be better for the people." he hoped that his words would sooth the king, "let's set a watch out for the Kaspians, we can use lanterns and mirrors to signal when they are spotted." he looked at Elliot for approval, "how do they attack? have you seen a pattern to their ways?" Tsume blew a raspberry in each boy's stomachs, making them squeal with laughter before sitting down and handing Rin to Chelsea. "no need to glare, these are the offspring of my master, i treasure them as much as i do him."

Yashweh, Chelsea, SalehElliot nodded, listening to Leo and Oliver translating quickly after each word. "We ally ourselves diplomatically, Saleh. We do nothing out of hate or a need for power. Our country is a conglomerate of people of varying races and species. We are incredibly friendly." Then looked up at Leo. "Lanterns and mirrors would be good." "We do own lots of mirrors, they help in preparation of cooking on occassion. As for how they attack. We never expect it. And it is never with magic. What they use feels dead, or deadly, a magic that infects the body. In the beginning they used something sounding like stampedes of wild oryx. They have not used those in a while. But we never expect it. We have tried to prepare, but there are times they need not show and our people die from odd bubbles of the skin, or constant vomiting." Where they had been before Yashweh ran off and things went to hell... "No one knows how they do it. They rarely come themselves, only their leader has come demanding for signature. We have been using this peace to heal our injured and calm our dying.""Hello wild one." she said, perking up immediately at the new baby in her hands. "Oh you are just the cutest."

Leo stood, "Take me to those who are sick and injured. i am a healer, i can help." he looked at Chelsea and Tsume with the babies before walking over to give his boys a kiss. "stay here with them, i don't want them to see this sickness." he ordered before taking up a flask of water and moving to the entrance of the tent, "let's hurry." Oliver carefully placed the turban next to Tsume, "please watch this for me." he spoke softly, not able to think of what might happen if he dared wear it outside of the tent.he hurried to stand beside his master, waiting to follow. Tsume nodded to Oliver, "i'll keep an eye on it." Yuki cooed at him and he nuzzled the boy's cheek, "don't worry, Uncle Tsume's here." Rin grinned and grabbed a lock of her hair, pulling on it while giggling happily.

Yashweh, Chelsea, SalehSaleh nodded, standing from the mat. "Many have already perished so the numbers of those are down significantly." and led the way out, the sun already beating down on the useless dirt of the desert. "Healers are not common in these areas, so we're incredibly grateful." and entered a new tent after a short walk, the inside smelling like herbal medicines and perfumes to combat the smell of sickness and dying. Elliot, who had followed behind the two, was suddenly thankful that Kashi was not here. He had heard the hare mention of being ridden with diseases while in Kasp, but some of the people were covered in hordes of black, round warts of some sort. Others had disfigured joints, others covered in red, splotchy patches, a woman in a corner was trembling hard and sweating, bucket in front of her filled with her own vomit. People without limbs, missing parts of their skulls, heads having to be wound with bandages to keep their jaws in place. "You cannot hope to heal all of these people." Elliot said softly. "You will grow sick. I cannot even tell you what they are plagued with." "We have tried many of our herbal remedies, and very few have had ease. We know nothing of these diseases. We had someone who's body was slowly dissolving. Disappearing, and they were in great pain. We had to give them far too much opium... it was kinder than how they were dying."

Oliver practically clung to Leo's pants as they entered the sick tent, feeling ill himself, but he translated as he was needed. he pressed his face into his master's leg, not wanting to see, but a hand gently pushed him away and to the King. he looked up, but his master wasn't looking at him, his eyes were on the people. Leo's glared at Elliot as if his husband were challenging him, "I will heal them." he said simply before pushing Oliver to Elliot, "he needs someone and it can't be me right now. i'll probably need more water too. is there a way to open up the tops of the tents or let more sunlight in? they need fresh air and sunlight." he found the person that was dissolving and went to them first. he rolled up his sleeves and with a gentle smile, he went to work. it took time, the process was slow and draining, but he went from person to person, healing the worst cases first and moving to the easier, lest threatening ones. he didn't know how long had passed, hours? days? he was exhausted, but he pushed on, only speaking when he asked for more water, drinking to keep himself hydrated and also using it to aid with his healings. his mind had shut down as he simply worked, thought wasn't needed, all that was needed was his body and his power. it wasn't so long ago that he'd forgotten how to continue on when everything in his screamed for rest. this was nothing compared to his life before Elliot, he could survive this much easily. he finally finished, the vomiting woman now eased into sleep, food finally sitting peacefully in her stomach. Leo wiped the sweat from his forehead and stood, turning to his husband and smiling. "told you." with those words, he passed out. he had finished his work and now he had earned his reward of much needed sleep.
