Jean-Paul walks in pushing a trolley upon which sits an eight layer cake studded with playing-card candles (each one an ace of spades, naturally). Keeping the thing moving looks like it takes some effort on the Quebecois speedster's part; he's got his shoulder applied to the cart with his full weight behind it. Despite being in top shape, he's winded once he finally draws the thing to a halt behind the bar. After a moment, he jumps onto the bar and fishes an envelope out of the back pocket of his jeans.
"Attention, sil vous plait! I am passing around a birthday card for the proprieter of this wretched hive of scum and villainy. Please sign it. Show no mercy."
He fishes a pen out of the bar's junk drawer and writes: 'Many happy returns, LeBeau. I would have added the proper number of candles to your cake, but I feared for its structural integrity as it was.' Jean-Paul passes the card to the next Kapowian and goes to pour himself a drink.
