Owwin Regulust I never do cause I can never find 3 other people to melee the tank so i can get thst bloody acheievement.
Realistically though the nightstick would do jackshit to a zombie since nightsticks were made to incapacitate not kill. Well a baseball bat isn't ever supposed to hit a person but it does a pretty damn good job. Baseball bat and Cricket Bat are probably the only melee weapons from l4d2 that would be useful in a real life infection outbreak.
Also I guarentee that the new melee weapon coming with The Passing DLC will be a Riot Shield.... or possibly a digeredoo(sp?).

EDIT: Oh i get what you meant. No they'd be terrible choices as they are made for one on one fights and would (in the unlikely chance you find a high quality one) become useless after 3-4 slices.

That is of course, if you are immune. Wouldn't want the splatter from bladed weapons otherwise. Also he meant for a useful weapon not for new thing.

If a zombie infection hit beleive me using an axe would not work as they are very combersome(sp?). It'd take a lot of effort to chop into a zombie then pry the ax out of them.

That's what I mean by how weak the infection has made them. If most of that is weakened it would be really easy to pull it out. Flesh is softer than wood anyway. Also with a bladed weapon like that you can be sure you cripple with every blow. Muscle, bone, nerves all severed. With a bludgeoning weapon you get em sometimes and ya don't other times even with headshots. More swings mean ya get tired faster. Letting the buggers get ya in an endurance match.

Wow, I just reread my post and wondered why I said Samurai Sword instead of Katana. xD I think it's because my brother kept saying it when we were playing it, or maybe it was Sam. Can't remember.

Speaking of Katanas, Red Alert 3 is fun. Empire's basic infantry unit are Mecha Samurai with Lightsaber Katanas.
Also, Yuriko is awesome.

Regulust Let's just say that guns are probably the better choice if Zombies ever attacked. Guns have ammo, but every house you visit has household products. My first test is to see if they can survive mustard gas if I can get one in a little area alone. Also other household products that can easily be made into bombs, like molotovs of course. Save your ammo for absolute emergencies.
