Kilik nodded. "For instance, the Kanto Mart sells the evolution stones while the other Supermarts don't." He finished off his sandwich, wiping the crumbs from his lips with the sleeve of his robe, "And the Mart in Hoenn sells more TMs than the others. I'm quite interested in seeing what the Johto Mart has to offer me." He downed the remainder of his milk then glanced at the clock. Eight-fifty. Kilik stood up, taking his trash off the table and walking over to the waste bin.
"You mentioned the Bug Catching Contest," he looked over his shoulder at her then turned to walk back to the table, sitting down to interlock his fingers once more. He dug his elbows into the table. "I happened to win the last one," he gloated, "Thanks to a Shiny Scyther. What exactly are you looking for in the Contest?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Wow I didn't know that. It sounds pretty interesting I will have to visit the other regions to see what else is new!" She said excitedly. That and it might be nice to give Luffy a new move from a TM or to get one of those cool elemental stones, even if she couldn't use it. Just thinking about it made Robin get more excited, with new TM's and items she and Luffy could grow even stronger.
"You are a former Bug Catching Contest winner! Wow! You are amazing all of those badges and you are a former winner! Plus you have a shiny pokemon? Those are so rare I haven't even seen a picture of them before and my first day out I meet a trainer who has a shiny pokemon. I can't just believe it." She was so surprised at that she forgot the other question for a moment remembering it though she answered for him. "Well, I don't have any pokemon in mind. I just want a pokemon that will fit in with me and Luffy, one that has that certain special something... I know it sounds stupid..." She trailed off blushing slightly. To her though it sounded right, she didn't care if her pokemon were strong or not, well she did but she would rather have spirit on her side. Luffy might not be a Charizard or anything but he had more spirit then any one she had ever meet and that made up for everything.

Yeah, I suppose I am, Keegan thought, smirking. But that'll change. I promise. He stretched his legs out in front of him, and lied back on the towel, feeling the heat of the sand seeping through the fabric and into his back. It felt good, like it was easing the tension out of his back muscles, and he closed his eyes and sighed. Maybe Kasiya was fine relaxing out in the cool water, but give him invigorating heat any day. He figured it was because he was used to the warm atmosphere surrounding Lavaridge, what with the volcano and all.
He became lost in his thoughts, and quite sleepy at the same time. He felt himself dozing off - that is, until he heard the commotion in the water. He bolted upright, and before he knew it, he was chest-deep in the water by Kasiya's side. He never could recall himself moving so fast in his life. "Are you all right?" he panted, holding out his arms to keep her steady. He didn't know what had just happened, but it had scared the daylights out of him.

Crenu continued to sit in the same position for a few more minuets, it looked as though he was thinking hard about something. Though the truth was simply that he was no morning person, his parents had always said he was a Noctowl, and they were right. He grinned a bit at this though, and finally decided to get up. He put his pants on and clipped his pokeballs to his belt, but remained shirtless for the time being. The bandages wrapped around his body to cover up his back and arms were a bit hot and he wanted them to breath for the time being. His frame was nothing impressive though it had a muscular tone to it, he liked to stay in shape. Leaving the room, the smell of food flowed through his nostrils and drew him to the kitchen. He saw an old man eating ferociously as well as an old woman looking content, a large group of pokemon eating happily (his own amongst them) and the feast on the table. He took a step forward and continued to scan the room when his eyes fell upon the tall and lanky frame of a young girl, whom he recognized right away as confirmation of his suspicions. "....." He didn't know what to say, he wasn't even sure if he should say anything. He just stared at her, his ever stoic expression remaining unchanged. "....I take it Ky is asleep."

Kasiya had also never seen someone move so fast in her entire life either. "Keegan... I... don't worry, I'm all right," she told him, nodding. "I guess I kind of zoned out under the water. Luckily Ariel was right there," she added, trying to be reassuring. The movement of the water caused her to sway forwards a bit, and for a moment she thought she'd fall until she realized Keegan had a hold of her. "But it got you into the water, didn't it?" She couldn't help but smile.
Levi was still being held in Kasiya's right hand, and she glared up at Keegan as he approached. She still didn't trust boys, although even she didn't really know why. Ariel shot the Mudkip one of those 'now you knock it off right now, young lady' glares, and Levi quieted down a bit, but still continued to make little growling noises so long as Keegan was within a few feet of her.

Feeling somewhat reassured, Keegan loosened his grip on her a bit. "Just don't scare me like, that, all right? If something happened to you, I..." he trailed off, and shrugged his shoulders, trying to keep his distance from Levi. The Mudkip hadn't liked him right from the get-go, although he hoped that would change someday. He smiled at Kasiya's last comment. "Well, if this was a clever ploy to get me out here, you succeeded. Happy now?" He shivered a bit, finding the water to be quite cold in comparison to the warmth of the beach he'd been lying on a moment ago. He let his fears of sunburn fade with the setting sun, and he checked his watch again, wondering if it was waterproof.
"We should probably head back to the Pokemon Center and get something to eat," he said. "It's probably going to get a little chilly out here now that the sun is going down."

Pix smiled to sparky, she was really glad someone had commented her on her coat! She was a clean pokemon, brushed regularly, and always tried to keep out of dirt. But of course, sparky didn't know that when the going get tough, Pix gets dirty. "Voo-L! Voo Voo!" Pix said wagging her tail. It ment to say that sparky looked good too. She looked to her master if her master and whined softly, she didn't like to be held in anothers hands for so long, even if the strokes were very comfortable.
Yume grinned cheekily in reply, How silly of her to not know that the bond between pokemon and master was SO strong? She nodded as Steffi explained, Pix was too like sparky in a way. Always knowing and feeling.
She saw sparky squirm happily in steffis arms and grinned, she wasen't sure what level her vulpix was but she hoped it was enough to defeat or tie with sparky. She nodded calmly towards steffi, "Sure, you go pack yourstuff since i've already done mine-" She looked down to something tugging on her shoelaces and chuckled, " So sparky wants some love too huh?" She said picking him up and hugging him, She heard vulpix whine. " Why dont you go pack, as i was saying, and let me look after sparky and vulpix for awhile? " She said settling down on the spot and smiling up to her neighbour.
Pix watched in dismay as her owner picked up sparky and not her. Hugged him and not her. But then she had heard pix whine and wagged her tail. She seemed to be suggesting something to sparky's owner. Pix wished hard it would be to let her return to her master's arms again. Though less then half an hour had passed, her heart felt it needed to be with her master again.

Kira Hiromi was just outside of the town of Violet, sitting in the grass, playing with Chuck, her lovable Rattata. Crawling through the grass, she lept out and pounced on Chuck, rolling and petting him. Chuck squeaked as he was pounced on and tried to squirm, but ended up stuck in his trainer's arms.
Kira sat up, grass falling from her orange hair. "Well, are you calmed down enough to be a good little Rattata while I help mom with the shopping?" She knew better than to let the little trouble maker stay out of his poke'ball when she was shopping; Chuck had a tendency to cause more damage than her wallet could handle.
Chuck, however, had other ideas, and squeezed himself out of his trainer's grasp, dashing through the grass, farther away from the town, moving in the direction of the rout to Cherrygrove.
"H-Hey! Chuck! Get back here!" Kira yelled out after the Rattata, then ran after him, a little irritated. Her mom would leave without her at this rate; so much for helping her with the shopping.

Steffi agreed with Yume. "Sure!" she said, carefully handing over Pix back to her owner. Sparky nestled sweetly into Yume's arms, he looked comfortable to Steffi in her eyes. Yet she wondered if she should leave him alone, she thought of the worst that could happen. But then again, she trusted Sparky more than anyone in this world and believed that if anything happened, he could defend himself and those who needed defending. Steffi smiled at Yume.
"I'll be back in 10 to 20 minutes or so, Sparky is very tolerant he'll be ok." she explained. Before setting off, she took one last glance at Sparky, telling him that she was going to be back soon. She nodded and gave him a kiss on the cheek. And with that, she set off back home to pack for good.
Sparky was picked up by the ever so kind Yume. Her touch was just like Steffi's but she smelt extremely different! Steffi always had a very fruity and exotic swee scent on, but Yume was entirely different! She still smelt nice, but he had grown so used to Steffi's smell.
As Pix was also picked up by Yume, he begun to wonder what was happening. He almost instantly knew Steffi would go somewhere, and he wanted to know where. The two humans talked and talked until finaly Steffi made eye contact with him. He could tell that she would just go home and come back again. It was alright, he was pretty comfortable where he was!
Steffi jogged across the familiar place she called home. She wondered when she would ever see these shrubs and bushes again. But she decided it was time to move on! The road wasn't too long, she was home almost instantly.
"Mom!" she called, entering her house. She heard no reply. She was probably out shopping, or doing some other chore she usually does. Running up the steep steps she went to her room and threw a bunch of random things onto the bed. When she couldn't find anything more to pack, she stood back and took a good look at what she had chosen. It seemed to be enough in her eyes. She grabbed for her biggest backpack and stuffed everything inside. When she was done, she dragged the heavy bag down the stairs and went into the kitchen. She picked up a pen and wrote on a sticky note;
Mom, I'm off to start my own adventure! I took plenty of clean stuff and all the money I could find. I made a friend, Yume, she lives next door! We're going together to Violet to battle Falkner then I'll give you a call. Bye mom! I love you! -Steffi
Content with her note, she hastily stuck it on her fridge door and sprinted out the house, weighed down by her heavy backpack. She looked around, she wouldn't see Cherrygrove again for a long time! With a last glance, she ran off to the road where she had left Sparky and Yume, not looking back.

Kilik scratched his cheek sheepishly. When she had put it like that, it made him sound a lot more...amazing than he actually was. Laughing a bit, Kilik glanced over at Luffy then at the trainer. "I know you'll find the right one. When I found Scizor, I knew she would be the perfect addition to my party." He somewhat brushed his hair out of his eyes and rested his chin in his palm. "I suppose if we leave here tomorrow at dawn," he told her, "then we'd get to New Bark Town pretty early then we would have to punch it to Goldenrod to get you there in time for your Contest. Then again," he laughed, "If my Vibrava happens to evolve soon, we could just..." he gulped. Why was he suggesting this? He hated this mode of transportation.
"We could just fly there," he finally spat out. It hurt him to say that. If there was one thing in the world he hated more than flying, he sure hadn't met it yet.

"Quite happy, actually," Kasiya giggled, standing up on tiptoe to kiss him on the cheek. "But you're right, we probably should be heading back soon. If we're out here too much longer, we'll get so chilled it'd be tough to warm up again," she added, looking out at the water once more. The thought of being cold and unable to warm up without Hiro's warm, bushy fur to cuddle up in was frightening. She let go of Levi, and the baby Mudkip swam off eagerly after Ariel, who'd decided on one last good stretch of swimming before the humans went back on land. Kasiya caught sight of Althena, her powerful limbs cutting through the water nearly effortlessly, and she looked up at Keegan, puzzled. "What's up wit her? I thought she'd be happy to play with Ariel and Levi."
Thinking about it though, some of her Pokemon's attitudes had shifted quite dramatically after they'd evolved, the only real exceptions so far being Shocker, Fang and Rosemary. If anything, evolution had caused Fang to act even more strangely, while Shocker and Rosemary's personalities hadn't changed at all. Ariel had calmed down from her hyper-active state as an Eevee, becoming gentle and patient. Even Hiro's disposition had changed after he'd nearly swallowed Kasiya's Fire Stone - he'd been gruff and rough as a Growlithe, but since he'd become an Arcanine, he was more like a big, playful puppy than anything else. Seto hadn't changed much either, except that he seemed to have become more stuck-up than before, although Kasiya suspected that it was a quality ingrained into the DNA of nearly every Persian that made them act that way. Her other Pokemon either hadn't evolved, or she didn't know anything about their previous forms to know how evolution had affected them.

"Thank you very much Kilik, I hope I find someone as great as you Scizor seems to be for you." She smiled glad to hear the reassurance from the more experienced trainer. "As for your plan if we aren't that far away so the walk to New Bark Town would just be about a half an hour at the most. If you still want to go right now Professor Elm should still be up. We can probably walk back if you wanted." She had sensed Kilik's unease at the thought of flying. Personally she thought that idea sounded great and she loved the thought of flying all over the region on the back of a powerful pokemon. "Besides, we shouldn't depend on the fact that your pokemon might evolve."
Across from her Luffy had jumped up onto the table and crossed over in order to seat himself on Robin's lap. He had a lot of energy left, then again he had tons of energy at all times. As he bounced on Robins lap he wondered what kind of new friend they would meet tomorrow. Inside he couldn't wait for the next day and he knew he wouldn't be getting much sleep tonight.

"Bahamut is very close," he said standing up, placing his hands into the pockets of his robe, "I've just got to battle a few trainers on our way there. Trust me, it'd be faster to train Vibrava and evolve her than to walk back." The boy glanced down at Luffy again, then glared up at his hat. "As for Aipom, you may want to keep him in the ball when we're flying. He could lose Hat."
Joy had entered the cafeteria, smiling to herself, carrying Kilik's tray of Pokeballs. "Here you go, sir! All your Pokemon are nice and healthy." She held the tray up for him and watched him take each sphere off into his pockets. When the tray was empty, she tucked it under her arm and smiled. "Oh! Your clothes should be done soon. I went ahead and stuffed them in the dryer for you." With that statement, she turned and walked out of the room.
"Thank you!" Kilik called out to her, watching her wave. "Well, how about that. I get my Pokemon and clothes back in the same night." He threw a glance down at Robin. "You should probably hit the hay. As a starting trainer, it'd be best for you to be well rested in the first few days of your journey."

While putting Luffy in his pokeball would be a smart idea Robin just didn't feel comfortable doing that. Yeah she would probably be putting other pokemon in there pokeballs but Robin knew she could never put Luffy away. Luffy was the first friend she had ever made and there was no way that she could ever send him back. "I can't put Luffy back." She paused for a second. " We will think of something, I will make sure he doesn't bug you all that much." She promised. At the suggestion of bed she frowned slightly. "I'm not tir-" She was then cut off by a large yawn she carefully covered with her hand. Blushing slightly she laughed nervously. "Sorry I guess I am a bit tired. I think I will take your suggestion. Thank you for traveling with me when you didn't have to Kilik." She said shyly looking away as she said it. Picking up Luffy she walked off towards the main center. Picking a couch she sat down placing her stuff next it and placing Luffy on the couch. "Stay here Luffy I need to go change. The sooner we fall asleep the sooner the next day can come and we can go find our new partner." She said with a grin, Luffy nodded and settled himself down on the couch doing his best to calm himself down.
Heading towards the bathroom with her bag and she stepped in and quickly changing into a pair of plaid fuzzy pants and a white tank top. Keeping her hair up for the moment as she brushed her teeth so not to get it in her messy red locks. That done she untied it and headed sleepily back to her couch bag in hand. Plopping down on it carefully avoiding Luffy she settled herself down. Plucking Hat from the Aipom's head and setting it down on her bag. "Good night Luffy."

Sunblock may have protected against sunburn, but it did nothing to mask the blush that quickly crept into Keegan's cheeks as Kasiya's lips brushed up against his skin. Blinking, he watched the tiny Mudkip disappear into the water, and he glanced around for his own water-dweller. "I don't know," he replied honestly. "Althena was always so playful and happy as a Psyduck. I guess evolution has changed her outlook on things." He watched the Golduck make a few more passes, but he could see that she was beginning to tire. "She looks so... serious," he commented idly.
He shivered, realizing that daylight was quickly leaving them. "I'm going back in," he said, trying to keep his teeth from chattering. "I'm freezing already. Feel free to follow if you want," he nodded, leaning forward and kissing her forehead gently before he turned and headed towards the shoreline. "Come on, Althena. Time to go," he called out to the Golduck, and wasn't really all that surprised to see her swim swiftly through the water, and reach the beach long before he did. By the time he set his feet in the dry sand, the Golduck was already dry, and tapping her foot impatiently while her arms were folded almost angrily across her chest. He recalled his crew, and gathered up his belongings, then proceeding to shake the sand from his towel and drape it around his shoulders. He was disappointed to find that most of the warmth had already left the crimson-coloured towel as he began to trudge towards the Pokemon Center.
