Nero smirked as he continued to run, bounding through the forests and the open areas of this place, and the smell of burning was always seeming to fill his nostrils. He could see a burnt city in the distance, no doubt that it was the cause of this. He took a deep breath as he continued to run, following the sandal marks of that interesting cat lady he had been attacked by before. He wanted to meet her again, strength was something that he never seemed to get enough of, and she was surely strong. The thought of lonliness entered his mind, he truely did not like to be alone...though he despised most, and he didn't like to have to rely on others...he felt like he should give these other nins a chance. Maybe he'd let himself work with them....if only to satisfy his thirst for company. He was tired of being alone already, and it had not been long.

The sandal marks, just as he had thought went straight to the city he had been looking at, and he smiled ever so slightly as he saw them stop...it would be hard to see her through this...he closed his eyes and he took a deep breath as he stood there. Suddenly then, the veins around his eyes began to bulge and the pupil inside became more defined. He gained a sensation of being able to see around him completely and he grinned widely as he did so. But he also gained a much longer range of sight and he looked past the village the sandal marks had led to...bingo. He saw her bounding away and he grinned as he chased her. He wouldn't be able to keep Byakugan active forever...but he knew that he could at least know where she was headed. Then she stopped, and put her nose to the air, sniffing and he grinned, he had her now. He continued to run, shooting over the rooftops he could jump between and going through the streets. He knew where she was now, so the veins relaxed around his eyes, the Byakugan was not actrive for as long as he thought it would have to be.

He stood behind the corner of a building looking at where she stood with a smile upon his face, he would see what she was made of, give her his own little surprise attack, but by the way she was smelling the air, he was probably already discovered. The mewing of the cub could be heard quite clearly and he smiled to himself as he took a deep breath and he launched himself from around the corner, shooting towards her and leaping through the air. He twisted his body and sent a foot out towards her ribs, he was still frustrated about being attacked from behind, but at the same time, excited to have met this girl...he wanted to know what she could do...and this was just a way for him to find out.

Burnt City

The chirping sound of the cheetah cub on her shoulders was soft, and the creature made a hissing sound toward the harper, and her nostrils flared, as another scent filled her air. She pivoted to look around for the scent, and it was the sound of movement that caught her attention, as she pivoted sharply where she sat, finding herself face to face with the same man who'd said she was pathetic, as hands locked onto his leg, and she immediately started spiraling, holding him by just his leg.

The spiral got faster and faster, before she released, intending to toss him across the landscape as best she could. He'd deserved his initial attack. She'd just retaliated for his asshattery, and rudeness. Anyone who knew anything of the Nekoseki clan knew that insulting them, or the cubs, was like an instant death sentence. An older member of the clan would have laughed him off as a little boy.

Unfortunately, she wasn't an older member, and teenagers tended to be spiteful when mocked.

"Kuso. I could kill you for giving away my position, you idiot. We're in enemy territory now, stop being so damn childish!" she was forced to approach now, as no doubt, the sounds of their momentary struggle had been heard.

~*~Burnt City~*~

::The harper seemed unphased by the weapon, or the rude behavior of the young student who held a weapon to his throat. Neither did he seem to acknowledge the commotion that was raised by the two newly arrived students. Slowly his song came to an end and he lifted grey eyes to look towards Maizen. A smile crept over his thin lips, his was voice soft when he spoke, melodic like his harp playing::

Greetings and welcome, young traveler.

: surprised ne hand stayed on the harp strings, the other resting in his lap::

To answer your questions, what happened? The city was attacked. Whats going on here? You obviously searched me out, hearing my song, and have decided to speak to me, the only other seemingly living thing in this city other than yourself.

He grinned wildly as she caught his leg and he let his arms hang free as he felt her begin to spin him. He could have done something about it, maybe brought his other foot up and slammed it into the arms that were holding him, but a simple throw wouldn't cause too much damage anyway, no use to use his energy in breaking the hold when he could just alter his position in air and land. He took a deep breath and he felt her release him, tossing him through the air. His body twisted and contorted, causing him to feel slightly nauseated and he grinned as his feet slammed into the ground, he had landed as he wanted too but he did not have the balance from the nausea to hold the position and he quickly toppled backwards onto his a** and rolled a few times. He stood to his feet and he put his hands in his pockets with a smile.

The smile looked kind of funny, due to the scar that ran up from the corner of the mouth to about an inch away from his eye. The symbol that was conceived for most as "evil" was palced on the front of his balck shirt, and all over his black pants. The two kodachi he carried were hidden under his arms and he was grinning as he walked towards the girl. He was impressed to say the least, and his seven foot three stature loomed above her as she stood nearly two feet shorter. The smile continued to stay upon his face as the pure white eyes looked directly at her and when he had finally caught up to her he took a deep breath and he stuck out a hand. "I was not merely being childish...I was just trying to guage you....get a feel for your strength...and needless to say. I am rather impressed." He said with a smile, he massive hand still held out to grab, it was inexplainable how he had shot up so tall so young. "The name is Nero Kedura...of the Hyuga Clan." He said, his smile showing some teeth this time, though not much, for they were slightly irregular compared to normal people. He had filed the canines to be excruciatingly sharp and as well as the teeth behind and infront of the canines. Those remained hidden behind his lips as he smiled. "And you are?" He asked.

The smile didn't look that strange to a girl who spent almost all of her time around a group of cats, and cat looking people. Nope, he was actually kinda normal, whatever 'normal' was supposed to mean.

She herself had the normal appearance for a shinobi. A mesh and white top that covered her body in essential parts, long loose black pants, blue sandals, and a belt. Her kunai belt was down on her leg, and her hands were clad in fingerless gloves, and she held the nekoseki markings on the sides of her face, a pair of black cat scratches that went from just under her eyes, down to wrap around her face near her chin.

Her scruffy red hair covered her eyes, and she was relaxed in stance, though she nodded to him, she didn't take his hand, mostly because she wanted to remain on guard.

"Tsume," and while the nodding of her head acknowledged all the words he spoke, she was more focused on the harper that was finally speaking. After all, this could be something important to their mission -- whatever it may be.

He took a deep breath as he stood there and he grinned as he looked down into the eyes of this cat-woman. He was growing more and more interested in her as time went on. She seemed so...ferocious, but at the same time so sensible and calm, kind and mature. Though the second last quality he thought of was one that he had no time fore...the rest were quite interesting indeed. He smirked as he looked at her, his eyes for the first time tracing over what she was wearing, peicing together everything and actually SEEING her, not just looking at her. "Tsume." He repeated to himself. "Well then Tsume...I'd enjoy it if we could help eachother out here." He said quietly, turning his head as well to look at the Harper. He did not trust this man at all, if nothing was as it seemed, this was probably some trick, a genjutsu maybe? Hiding the true appearance of the harper behind a fake shell of a man? Masking a raspy wreched voice for something much fairer, and so much more musical? He smirked at his thoughts...or maybe the warning that nothng was as it seemed....was the thing that really wasn't as it seemed...maybe the warning was only to make them paranoid? He smirked as he stood there, taking a deep breath and then waiting to see what was going to happen next.

Aoi's left eye twitched. He ignored me again! thought Aoi, That ***hole, I'm gonna kill him once we get all of the information we need! Removing the weapon from his neck now that the musician has started talking, he decided to see what he knew. "So, since the whole city is gone, why are you and this fountain here?" Aoi asked, "Why not move to somewhere a bit more populated?" He waited, managing to ignore the stupid activities of the two newer members of this group, although not without some difficulty.

she watched the man's lips..her eyes following the movements..and while she couldn't hear much at all of his voice, she looked to Aoi and sighed. Gingerly, she places her arms in her large sleeves, and she steps forward, and bows gently in front of the man. He's male but..there's not a lot she can do. She takes a moment, and speaks up..

"Please excuse the rudeness of my companion. This particular venue has us all a bit edgy, and I must be the first to admit that I am rendered quite uncertain as to the intentions of a man who seems to dwell in an abandoned city alone. One must question as to how one in such a place acquires food, supplies, and other such necessary commodities for living. Looking around, one could also assume that this entire place was destroyed in some kind of battle. Still, it would be impolite to question you in your own domain..however.."

Haka blinks twice, tipping her head curiously..

"Can you tell us with certainty and without deciet, that you were not the one who destroyed the city? Vengeful spirits and sorrowful spectres are such a bother, and to be honest, though I mean no offense, you are just a bit suspicous..and your music is more than a little...tugging. Unnaturally so."

"Sounds fine," she flashed a smile up at him briefly, before her nostrils flared again, and she attempted to focus herself on the scents of those around her. The least scent of undeath, or strangeness, that's what she was looking for. Anything that was 'off' for her.

She was listening to the words of the other students. They were trying to rule out possibilities. She herself was trying to determine if it was a genjutsu, and apparently Nero had the same idea. Her cheetah chirped up at her softly, and eyes narrowed on the man, as she herself advanced up into the crowd of students. Her movements were cautious, of course.

Things weren't as they seemed. What did that mean? Curses for her not being able to obtain any more information than that. Was it the surrounding that wasn't right? Was everything a genjutsu?

A doorway in a classroom doesn't just lead out into a new world. A doorway out would lead.. into another area of the school, right? So was this a very elaborate genjutsu? Or was something else at work here? Dammit, she hated not knowing.

Fingers tensed down at her sides, as she slid one down into the pouch on her lower hip, a needle slid out, and into her hand, before she twisted it in her fingers, pricking the palm of her hand. Small amounts of pain cleared her head. And just in case it was a genjutsu. She moved through the other students, after pricking her other fingers, the small dots of blood barely noticeable on sleeves and arms, barely felt. This included Nero, Haka, Aoi, and Maizen. Why? Because she could always track her own blood, if something happened and the group was separated. Her needle was slid back into its place, and she was standing near Haka now.

"Your music is a little.. persuasive, the pretty lady's right," Kiko chirped in agreement, and Tsume's hands curved just slightly. As the trickle of blood on her hands dried around the kunai that she slid from their pouch.

Nero smirked as he looked at the cat-woman, glad that she had agreed to work with him...now he had taken care of himself and his desire to stay away form lonliness....that was the one thing he feared most...to be alone. He hated that feeling with a passion. He watched Tsume walk over towards the piper and he took a deep breath. If this were to be a genjutsu, then the most likely of all outcomes is that theplace they were was all false...and that the person infront of them either did not exist...or was an academy instructor. He walked up towards the man as well and stood directly infront of him, his pure white eyes looking deeply into the eyes of the man infront of him.

"Screw wondering if he destroyed the so called village that is here. Who is to say that you are even you at all...who is to say this is not an elaborate illusion, and there is no city here at all. How can you answer that question?" He asked with a smirk, his white eyes looking skeptically down upon this man, the two kodachi he carried, strapped under his massive arms were ready to be easily drawn with amazing velocities because of their size...but he had a feeling that the man wasn't going to attack them...but at the same time, Nero had no idea what they were even here for.

Maizen had been enjoying the song, but the arrival of the two new (and to his ears) loud students had suddenly startled him out of his whimsical trance... notably, he was a tad cranky. The spare boy looked back to Nero and Tsume with a mixture of trepidation and annoyance - a rarity with the student.

"Maybe if you lot stopped running your mouths, the nice man could answer the important questions quickly." He turned inhumanly brown and green-streaked eyes to Nero, fixing him with the glance momentarily before turning away. In that moment, he seemed to return to his normal state - anxious and small, though somewhat bolstered by the larger number of apparent meatshields.

The junior medical ninja turned his attention back to the harper, waiting on the man's next words.

::the man chuckled quietly, fully setting his harp aside, though still very very close and looked over the students with a faint smile::

As you can very well see the whole city is not gone, though rather changed in form as it may be. The fountain is as I have made it. One cannot sit on something that will constantly soil their clothing. The city was not mine to destroy, therefore, no I did not place it in its current state. As for commodities, I acquire them elsewhere, my permanent place of residence is not this fountain, as that would become a bit chilly at night. Some might indeed find mymusic to be alluring and moving in unfamilar ways. As for my existance, I am as real as you are, and the city is as well.

::her stood, smoothing out a pair of brown pants and a white shirt, simple yet functional. He picked up his harp, cradling it gently in his arms::

If you are disturbed we may move outside of the city.

Nero smirked as he stood there, looking at the harp player intencely and not breaking the stare. But after a while of the harp player not saying anything at all he looked away for a moment, only to notice an odd stare at him from Maizen. He didn't know who the kid was, but the eyes were quite interesting indeed. He would have to find out what that look was all about later...instead of immediately tearing them out of the kids head without knowing what the reason was. Then the harp player's voice caught his attention and he turned his head towards him, glad that the rediculous man was finally speaking.

Hmm...well that completely and totally ruins my theory that it's genjutsu...unless the man is still just trying to trick us. Nero thought to himself as he scratched his head, wondering what the hell to do about this. He wasn't sure he should trust the harp playing man...actually he was pretty sure he shouldn't. He narrowed his eyes and he shook his head as he stood there, he didn't like this one bit. He looked out of the corner of his eye at Tsume, trying to see what she was up to where she was. "Well, I really don't see how moving around is going to solve anything at all. Why don't you just explain to us why we're here and the point of this friggen room? Or because I'm late, am I the only one who doesn't know?" He asked him harshly, wanting answers and not really caring about attidude...he wanted them now.

::the man lifted an elegant eyebrow as he lifted his harp from the fountain, looking at Nero::

You are in no room, young traveler, but a city, as you can see. Everything you find here is as real as you are I. And not knowing who you are I cannot begin to tell you why you may or may not be here. You are strangers to me, as I have never see you before.

((Why is nobody posting. I am active and ready to post every day, but I can't do that if nobody else posts xp I suppose I wil just keep going anyways...even if I have no idea what is going on haha))

Nero narrowed his eyes as he looked at the man, up and down, scoping him out. He was quite interesting indeed...but his ignorance of what was going on, and the fact that he seemed to give Nero just about no information at all was really starting to bust his chops and piss him off. "Well, I walked through a door in a building to get here, so I just called it a room, same difference to me...room or not, this place is still a foreign area that I know nothing about. What kind of genin test is this anyways?" He asked himself with a heavy sigh.

He looked back to the man, still annoyed and the emotion hung in his breath and dripped from his speach. "The reason you've never seen us around is because we've never been here. I don't even know why we were sent here...what is the point on putting us into a mission if there is no cause...if there is no objective? Do we just wander poitnlessly?" He asked, again more to himself. "Listen...mister...I'd like to know everything you do about this place...maybe there-in will lay the naswer to my questions." He said with a sigh.
