Luca had so many cool things and no idea how cool they were. He was just sweet and humble. Lori loved that about him.
"Yeah, that'll be able to do it." Luca was a books guy, not an electronics guy. That was just fine. "Oh? Um, sure, if you like." Lori immediately thought alcohol. That was generally 'something to drink' in is world.

"Okay," Luca was positively beaming. He couldn't wait! "I'll come get you at five and we'll go to dinner." Then home! "Do you like wine at all?" he asked. "The bitter stuff kills my tastebuds, but we could get something lighter? What do you like?"

"Anything sweet. I don't have expensive tastes." Plus he was fae, but Luca probably didn't know about the whole sweets-thing, being a proper elf and not a faerie-elf.
"Do you even know where I live?"

Luca hadn't thought about that. "Er. No, actually," he admitted. "Where do you live? If you give me your address I think I'll be able to find you." He smiled. "So something sweet, I can swing that." He'd stop by a store on his way to get Lori.

Lori gave his address and nodded again.
"Sure. Sounds great. I can get you to sushi from here. Do you want to meet the dog or no?" Was that too much too fast?

"I'd love to meet your dog," Luca said cheerfully. He had written Lori's address down and was rather excited. "I'm really looking forward to this, Lori."

Lori have Rosie a nudge with his knee and she didn't seem to care. He grinned.
"Me too! I'll see you then. If you get lost just send me a call."

"See you then," Luca smiled into the phone. "I will. You'll probably hear from me and I'll be lost in another state," he teased. He was fairly good at finding places, if he had the address. Especially when he had his gps app on. "See you soon, bye." He ended the call, still smiling.
Talking to Lori seemed to do that. Cause forever smiles.

Lori gave up on his book to do a little cleaning around the house. It was nothing major; he was generally a good housekeeper, but he wanted his home to make the best impression possible. He wouldn't be surprised if Luca secretly owned a mansion and had no idea it was impressive either.
After a while, though, he was just waiting for the phone or doorbell to ring.

The doorbell rang. Luca was on the doorstep, bouncing on the balls of his feet. He seemed to have so much nervous energy he was unable to stay still.
"Lori, are you ready?"

At hearing the doorbell, Rosie wandered up to the door with her master. He ordered her to sit and she did, but was blatantly curious about who stood beyond the threshold. Lori opened the door and grinned.
"Hey!" Oh...oh, he just wanted to go? No tour? Feh, cleaning had been a waste, then. "I thought you wanted to meet the dog?"
He gestured to Rosie, whose nubby tail was wagging furiously. New people! Yay! Oh, it had taken Lori so long to get her to not fear people.

"I do!" Luca beamed, looking around for the fore mentioned dog. He spotted Rosie when she was gestured to and knelt down beside her. "Oh, you're beautiful," he said, reaching to stroke her head. "You have a nice house," he added, smiling up at Lori.

Rosie gobbled up the attention, once looking as if she was going to stand, but quickly rethought that move and sat down again. Lori smiled at her and gestured to Luca. "Go ahead."
Rosie stood and stuffed her face into Luca's hands to lick them and enjoy her pettings properly.
"Thanks," Lori said then with a smile, "I could give you the grand tour if you're interested, but don't feel like you have to. Next time we'll meet over at my place."

A tour? That might be nice. Luca stood, petting Rosie again. She really was a beautiful dog. His place was too small for an animal of her size to live happily. But maybe a goldfish?
"I'd like that," he smiled at Lori. Being invited to Lori's house was a nice surprise.

"Come on in." Lori gestured for Luca to enter and closed the door behind him. One entered directly into the living room which, predictably, had nearly an entire wall of books. "This is the super-exciting living room."
Rosie wagged and followed the pair as they went through the house. The stairs were passed and Lori gestured to the kitchen. "Aaaand the kitchen." There was a little dining table made for three. "Then the bathroom and the den." In that order, down the hall. Then he returned to the living room and headed up the stairs. "That's the bedroom, that's the dog's room, and that's the other bathroom. The basement's just got some exercise equipment, nothing special." The dog's room had an open door and inside could be seen a desk and computer, probably not for the dog, and a pile of papers thereon. There was also a large crate, though, and a fluffy bed and a box of toys and other things a dog might like.
