[Dawn : Black Pearl : Above Deck]
Dawn looked down at her feet as she continued to listen carefully to Sora's words. She did wince, however as he mentioned about the seal Ajora had placed on her. She half wondered how he was able to figure out about what exactly what was going on. He was on the deck so he must of been able to at least witness all that happened. Then again she never had been one for keeping secrets.
Her eyes soon turned to look up at Sora as she absorbed what he was saying. Soon she nodded before she continued her response, "I believe so. I will try. Though I make no guarantees that I won't throw a shoe at the next replica that messes with my friends." She gave Sora a crooked smile of her own before she turned away to look at the sunset.
"I am not going to fail again," Dawn mumbled to herself, though it would of been possible for Sora to hear her, "I can't afford to fail protecting anyone else...."

[Anthony ~.~ The Black Pearl ~.~ Lower Deck]
"I've already spoken with Louis," Anthony said, looking up at the girl as she stopped pacing back and forth. "All I need to do now is let him know my final decision."
Speaking with Noelle put the young man more at easy, making it easier for him to make a decision. It was comforting to know at least someone would keep him accountable. "As cool as learning Darkness from Riku would be, I think time is of the essence... Louis is our best bet. Besides, I don't know if Riku can manipulate the Darkness the way Louis can... the way he uses it... it's different." He looked away from the agromancer as his mind wandered back to the event that took place on the main deck not too long ago. "I haven't seen Riku use it like that before. Unless I'm totally forgetting something."
Anthony rose to his feet, placing his hands in the front pockets of his zip-up hoodie, and stood across from Noelle. "Thanks, ma'am. You sure helped put things into perspective. I'll go find Louis and let him know my decision." He began to make his way back to the doorway, but stopped beside Noelle. "Are ya sure you don't need any help sorting things out?" he asked, turning his head to look at the girl.

[John.:Hawaii:.Beach]
That brief segment of darkness shocked John mightily, the sun in the distance disappeared and all happiness and nostalgia he had felt had now been turned for the worse to everything and anything he that had been negative in his life. Having it done to him for the first time, John's predominant feeling was that of helpless rage, which exploded out of him when the visions stopped.
"God d*** it! F*** you!" He screamed and wildly charged into the battle head first. His actions would be akin to that of being under a berserk spell as he attacked anything and everything he could in his attempts to land heavy blows from his warhammer onto the heartless.
At the beginning of his rage, he would have hit anything that was of darkness, but nearing the end of it, seeing the healer heartless, he would have focused upon them instead.

{Leon : Hawaii : Beach}
As time had continued to pass, the Gunblader had continued to get more and more restless. He had long since stopped being relaxed and was now on edge regarding the situation between Nick and Ajora. As soon as the chaos began he had his gunblade in hand. However, he fell to his knees as the geist phased through him, before his eyes the loss of his home world played before his eyes. His grip on his keyblade tightened as he tried to shake the memory. How often had the exact same memory been played through his head since the event, troubled his sleep with the nightmare. He wasn't about to let it effect him.
"No... not again! I won't let it happen again!" he yelled out, rising to his feet, his gunblade raised to the ready.
"Snap out of it! It isn't real!" he called, trying to snap the Earthlings that were still lost in the nightmares of their memories out of it.
He charged forward, immediately beginning to attack at the Heartless that had showed up. His gunblade quickly cutting through several of the Neoshadows.

Sayrike::The Black Pearl::Crow's Nest Sayrike laughed jovially at Jacob's story. He had told some good ones, to be sure. Ah, if only she could tell stories that well. "Well, I'm afraid that I'm not a great storyteller--at least, I can't think of something to top that one. Though, my sister and each took a turn in a trunk once, just to see what it was like. Hmm, most of my stories aren't really funny, but more like ones like what we just did---crazy things I've dared myself to do, just for the new experience," she said, her eyes shining as she looked off into the sunset and the approaching landmass. "I've gone on night hikes through the woods without a flashlight; I've stood on the edge of the Grand Canyon, a mere 3 inches away from the edge; I was there as the ocean waves lit up with bioluminescence; I even swallowed my fears and went snorkeling through the kelp beds by Catalina Island. Though, of course, it's really the every day things that capture my heart, like investigating a little shop that I lived by for 10 years and never went into, or going on a restaurant adventure with my friends, where we drive in one direction and eat at the first place we find. I love things like that, and creating those memories that you see in movies or books, but you never actually go out and do. Like watching shooting stars from the roof of a building at school. And then the next year, going to the local park and watching the meteor shower from there instead, while splitting a giant, cold watermelon among your best friends. Life is about going to the beach at midnight, or swinging on a swingset in a park that overlooks the entirety of Los Angeles." Sayrike sheepishly turned and grinned at Jacob, knowing she was sounding like a corny fool, but that's how she really felt. Why waste your entire life, wishing these sort of things could happen to you, when you could go out and do it? "It's all really about finding the magic in everything. It's always there, lying in wait, ya know?" She looked down, taking her hair out of its tie and tucking the long strands behind an ear, though trying to hide her remaining half-grin. "I mean, look where we are now--we're on an old, authentic wooden ship out at sea, which is cool enough all on its own, and sailing in a strange and new place. You can hear the cry of the seagulls on the breeze, and the ship as it passes through the water. Best of all...it's nearing sunset, and we have the best view in the whole place. Sayrike couldn't help but look back up and around, drinking in the sights, living in the moment. She closed her eyes for a moment against the bright sunlight, inhaling deeply--not just the smell, but the sounds crashing against her ears and the firm wooden boards of the crow's nest against her back and the slight salty stickiness that clung to her face...and the presence of Jacob, sitting next to her. This was a moment, all of it, to be captured in her memories. This was real. This was life. Not turning to the young man next to her, Sayrike broke the few, thick seconds of silence. "Thanks for coming with me, by the way. Some things...are better when shared with others. I'm really, really glad that we got to do it. I mean, I know a lot of people are afraid of heights---heck, I get a bit of vertigo, just like everyone else---so I don't get to do things like this often. Er, not that I ride on magic mirrors on a regular basis, either," she chuckled. "I should have mentioned it before, but it was a new experience for me as well, just seeing if I could sit on top of it and ride it around. Man, but it sure takes a lot out of you!" She turned quiet again. "But...yeah. Thanks for coming with me. It means a lot." At heart, Sayrike was a people-person. She liked to bring happiness to others. She took great pleasure in having someone rely on her, trust her, confide in her. Maybe it was a way for her to feel some sort of outside validation, like some sort of approval, but she didn't see it that way. Who didn't like those things? But it certainly felt like a gift when it did happen, and in this case, Sayrike hoped that Jacob had enjoyed the ride as much as she did. He had gone out on a ledge (almost literally) and put his life in hers. There was no greater compliment.

Jacob ll Crow's Nest
He smiled as Sayrike spoke. She had an air about her that made her...very interesting. To him, she never spoke at him or to him. She spoke through him; her words pierced his body, his heart. She spoke of the little things that make life grand. Not of complexities or complexities, wild adventures like he too often boasted about, but of life, simply. Jacob felt...odd. She was right though. He never liked boasting anyway. It was another way of making a mockery of life, like it's a series of points, definitive moments that we're the best and worst, and not about the everyday things that make it swell and recede.
Jacob scooted nest to Sayrike, mere inches away now, and leaned his head gently against hers. His heart was beating quicker. "Yeah. I love the little things like that. The smell of books that hadn't been opened in a decade, the little buzz and lightheadedness resulting from office chair races. The sound of a whistle, of music, and that life, as we know it, is good. That's the best feeling I can think of: that we are more awesome than we can comprehend, and that it is our job to prove it, not to anyone else but ourselves. That life is simple and thinking complicates it, that logic, while a wonderful pursuit is not as fast as soul, of our hearts."
Jacob gently grabbed Sayrike's hand and held it up to his chest. "You see? You feel the power you have? This is what I live for." He pulled her in for a long embrace. He'd hugged everyone so far, but Sayrike, by FAR had the best hugs, the kind that make you sigh with content. "And no problem, hun. I didn't mind the ride at all. Brushes with death seem to be the norm around here."

[Noelle ~ The Black Pearl ~ Galley]
The agromancer sighed and shook her head with a smile, hands on her hips. "I thought I told you I was okay. Go on, go find Louis, I'm fine."
Calming a bit, Noelle sat back down on the bench and tried to massage her shoulders a little. They were tense and sore when she pressed her fingers into them, but it was a relief to feel them slowly loosen. She was actually glad Anthony came and spoke to her--she was now thinking about other things that had her feeling less anxious. However, she was still troubled. Her mind was filled with a debate on whether to follow Anthony to see what Louis said or to just stay put. She decided to give it a minute to thing things through--she still needed to address her own decision in it.

[Amy : Hawaii : Beach]
Amy was no longer in a run-around-and-do-things stage of intoxication. Upon leaning against the tree for support, and taking in the beauty all around her, Amy verbally claimed the place as her own.
"This place," she said, "and all of its inhabitants, and all the trees and pizza and puppies therein, I now and hereby do claim." She 'pawed' the ground with her feet, turned around three times, and sat down indian-style, back against the tree. "You may now do my bidding."
It was about then that Amy noticed Nick was throwing down his gun. Apparently, she had missed something.
"I miss a lot," she said nodding, and looked over as if her audience was sitting beside her. They weren't. "Aaaand nobody is there. Okay. I also talk to myself," she folded her hands in her lap, "but that's okay, too."
Her demeanor changed. She fell silently into her thoughts.
No use pointing your gun at him, Nicholas. No one will back you up any-way. The latter end of that thought had a cold and bitter edge. The world slowed down, people and objects losing their movement. I shouldn't be angry now. The thought was slow, and weak. But its kind of– hard. Cue: Breath The world drained of color. The sand was a light shade of gray, the ocean dark. Ajora's eyes were quite black. She realized her heart had stopped beating.
You never had a heart. Remember? Amy remembered. Every cold thing, every cruel action that she had done, came to mind, but not all at once. She saw them, and though they moved quickly, she remembered them, she knew. All the reactions, the hurt, the hurting others for revenge, from early years to present day. Getting stepped on, it's easy to step on her, to humiliate... do it first, defend, shell up, hermit away. There is no responsibility for your own life... circumstances, they did it, better to, to, to blame. Others. After all it's, others, it's, cruel, abandon, cruel all their fault.
Amy was doubled over on the ground. There was sand and dirt under her fingernails, claw marks in the sand. She gasped for air like she had been drowning; she was unable to move.

Sayrike::The Black Pearl::Crow's Nest The soft thump of Jacob's head against her own make Sayrike's insides clench. She could be pretty oblivious to any romantic actions thrown her direction (despite seeing it so easily between others), so such things, when made obvious, came as a surprise. Love. That was the one adventure she hadn't experienced...not that she ever felt the pressing need for it. It wasn't central to her being or identity, merely a curiosity of life (at least, the romantic kind of love). But love wasn't something she could find out on a whim, like with everything else she was curious about. You didn't---she couldn't---love someone out of curiosity. It wasn't right to play with someone's emotions to satisfy an inquiry, not in her eyes. Others might be able to, but not her. And so, never finding someone who really clicked in that manner, she had never pursued that path, having enough love instead for life itself. It was a rare instance when someone showed affection for her. She was still unsure if Jacob was the overly-friendly/touchy type, or if he was openly declaring interest. However, the effect was still the same---her heart started pumping quicker as the young man placed her hand on his chest, and she could feel the differences in the syncopation of their beats. Sayrike almost didn't hear Jacob's heartfelt words over the sound of her racing thoughts, flitting through her head so fast they blurred into a blank. But then, he embraced her. Her eyes misted a little. She hadn't had human contact-- real human contact--in...well, what felt like forever. To be among strangers constantly was taxing on the spirit, especially when a majority of them had hostile intentions. Even after joining this group, there was still distance between them. You can't forge years of friendship into a matter of half a day. Sayrike hadn't even held someone's hand until she pulled Jacob onto her mirror. And now...it was a hug. A real one. Not a fake acquaintance-like hug, or one of those awkward comforting ones, but a hug in which the other person truly wanted to open his emotions and feelings to her and share a connection. It felt...warm. Soft. Sayrike closed her eyes for a second, forcing back her tears as she remembered all the people she used to share such hugs with. They may not be here now, physically, but they were still there in her memories, in her heart. She had someone else here instead, but he was just as loving as all the others. As long as she had someone to hug, then she knew that everything was going to be all right. After releasing one another, Sayrike smiled, a bit embarrassed, still recalling the feel of her hand on his chest. She wasn't sure if she felt about Jacob in that way ( for crying out loud, we've only just met! Love doesn't come in a few hours, and you hardly even know him), but it was nice to know that there was someone who had an open heart. Her mouth started working to take her mind off the subject. "You know, you're right: we ARE more awesome than we can comprehend, and there is only one person we have to prove it to---ourselves." Sayrike stood up, leaning forward on the edge of the crow's nest. Was it because she felt uncomfortable? Maybe. Maybe she just wanted more of a breeze to cool off her face, flushed from the expended effort of mirror-riding or from the encounter, she wasn't quite sure. (Thankfully, a blush was never really obvious on her face.) "Haha, although I'm not sure what sort of power I have, and it's definitely not something you should be living for." Humility kicked in, as usual. She wasn't especially extraordinary. Besides, you could only live for yourself, not for others. That's my philosophy.

Jacob ll Crow's Nest
Jacob pulled himself tight against his legs, holding his knees while staring at Sayrike. "If it's what you want. Sayrike, you are special though, and I'm glad you know it. Not too many people realize it. Thank you for such a wonderful time out there. I learned a lot from you. The human experience is meant to be shared. We have friends...family...loves. That is the human experience. You accept all good and bad and you spread it around. The more comfort you have when you're sad takes the edge off. The more you share when you're happy makes the world a better place. As such, I exist only for others. It's a challenge. I lapse back into social awkwardness, I distance myself sometimes, but...I can understand your precognitions." Jacob felt torn. He wanted to show her joy, unrestrained happiness, but with her essentially rejecting him...He swallowed hard; a knot had developed in his throat.

{Kyle : Hawaii : Beach
Laying in the sand and watching the sunset, Kyle was completely unprepared for the sudden attack. He had closed his eyes and was enjoying the nice day, trying his best to ignore Nick and Ajora. Not that it turned out to be the smartest idea. One second he was lying peacefully, the next his eyes burst open, only vaguely registering that the strange thing passed straight through him and disappeared. His eyes were flooded with everything that he'd regretted, the darkest of his memories. Everything that he'd said and done that had made him hate himself for days after. His most hated memories.
His breath caught and he froze, panic stricken and terrified. Everything flooded through him and he gripped the sand around him, willing it to rise around him, forming a cocoon-type defense, trying to block everything out and protect him while he dealt with his memories. If anything came near him, the sand would automatically strike out and attack friends and enemies alike.

Sayrike::The Black Pearl::Crow's Nest The air suddenly seemed a lot colder and Sayrike's body tensed, but in a bad way. Something had just gone wrong. She had just messed up somehow. She could hear it in Jacob's voice, that closing up and finality. Quickly, she spun around to face Jacob and began to verbally backpedal, trying to fix whatever she had just said. "I mean, er, really, I'm not that special at all!" Being modest, of course, but also she felt it was kind of true. Her voice picked up its pace as her mind frantically tried to think about what she might have done, but only nonsense came out of her mouth. "I'm not exceptionally great at most things. I'm pretty average in most skills--I got decent grades in school, I don't really play any instruments very well, I can only cook when there's instructions, I'm average at sports...I only really stand out because I'm so normal! I just..." her voice's intensity peaked, paused, and began to trail off. "...you know...quietly go about my way and try to do my best..." She looked down at her feet, her hands behind her gripping the edge of the nest's railing. "Really, there's never been a need to call me special." Chh, great, now she was sounding like a sorry martyr. "But, really...I, um..." Damn, she was really bad at this sort of thing. She wasn't sure what was going on anymore--how she felt, how Jacob felt. It was disorienting, unsettling, because between hers and another's emotions she almost always knew the state of at least one. Why did she seem to fail at this one thing? To play things cool and pass them off as if nothing happened was so much easier. She just hoped that her face wasn't red by this point. It may not have normally shown the underlying blush very easily, but a prolonged flush was sure to tell. This was stupid. Or, rather, she was being stupid. What was there to be flustered about? They were two people, two young adults. It's not like h had asked her hand in marriage or anything. Sayrike laughed at herself for being such a foolish person. Confidence and footing regained, she held her head back, up, the familiar easygoing attitude returned. "Well, you really know how to flatter a girl, I'll give ya that. And yeah, it's great, getting to share that human experience with you---being human with you. We should make it a point to do it again sometime, and share more stories and make new memories. Heck, we've got an entirely new island up ahead, ripe for exploration and discovery. I don't know about you, but I haven't been to a pirate haven lately. Well, not a pirate haven on an island, at least." She winked, but with the mask covering her eyes, one of the white eyespots closed instead. "I don't know about you, but I want to go enjoy the sea spray at the bow of the ship. You're welcome to join me, of course. Just looking for a change of scenery, and a bit of rolling motion that you can only find at the bow."

[ Ajora : Hawaii : Beach ]John's rage had indeed managed to crush a few of the Yellow Operas, though the Green Requiems managed to elude him for a bit by flying higher healing some of the Operas that weren't completely killed off. Leon had tried to swipe at some Neoshadows, but as they had just descended into the ground, he missed them entirely. The Pirate Heartless swarmed around Bobbi and Kyla, two of them flanking Bobbi's side and one coming from Kyla's back as they attempted to slash at their targets. Ajora couldn't help but chortle at all that was going on, which could be heard even as he flew from shadow to shadow, never actually solidifying. This was certainly turning out easier than he'd expected.
A number of Neoshadows suddenly erupted from the ground in the middle of the fight. They were in the air for a few moments before descending back into the ground, never actually attacking (though there was a chance to hit them).
Simultaneously, three Ajoras popped up behind Alan, Amy, and Kyle, one after another, and before there was a chance to do anything-
"Yoink!""Snatch!" "Mine!" They grabbed a single hair from their targets' heads and vanished back into the shadows, dashing around rapidly along with the Neoshadow counterparts.
Off to the side, near Azrael, another Ajora popped out in front of him, jumping in a little arc like a dolphin. "Don'tkillme!" he managed to get out, only to jump again from a different direction. "Sorryaboutthis!" And again- "Justbusiness!" And finally, though this time he launched out in cannonball-position, grinning while he went into the next hole- "Teeheefun!"

[ Zexion ; James ; Lugae : Hawaii : Lugae's Lab ]
Zexion only barely lifted his gaze from his computer at the sight of Nicholas falling from a portal onto the floor. He sniffed the air immediately to get an idea of who he was and found a host of familiar and new scents- namely Seymour, Ajora, and the faint remnants of Tortuga. He almost immediately picked out who the man was, but then he spoke and cleared up all mystery.
"I've been on this side much longer than you'd think," he responded blandly, going back to his work. Some of the biopods behind him were lit up, fluids slowly filling them from the bottom up. He seemed to be rapidly typing away at the computer, his lexicon open beside him to a certain page as he glanced back and forth.
"That makes you the Host of Chaos. They always pick the strange ones, it seems," he muttered under his breath, flipping a page. As he began to speak, a large number of Geists began to appear in the lab, all forming an oddly-ordered line next to Zexion. They all appeared to look like ghastly images of the people on the beach. "James has been put under Ajora's total control. I take it Ajora sent you here?"

[ Hades : Underworld ]
"Eh, I don't keep paper copies. I got it all up here," he responded, tapping his forehead as he glanced at Elleon, as if seeing her in a new light. She was interested in deals, was she? Planning inevitably failures could wait.
"Your perky little twin was to help me get back Diablos, whatever the cost, and in return," he said, standing up straight while holding up and open palm. The bag of cookies appeared, with a burst of blue-and-black flame, and he opened it up to grab a cookie, biting into it mercilessly. He took the time to swallow the bite before continuing. "I was to grant her enough Darkness to get her underwear out of its perpetual knot. Why the sudden interest?"
