Chaos so need this update, they can be so abused right now. xD
(Well, all armies can, but Chaos can be rule-abused more than any other if you play Iron warriors for example)

I'm going to throw up the rumours here right away with copy+paste. XD

This is a collection of Chaos Marine rumours, these are rumours NOT facts, if you want facts wait for the codex.

I’ll be adding to it as more information becomes available and is not a complete list of codex contents.

HQ
Daemon Prince (can be winged but no daemonic speed) cannot be instakilled.
Chaos Lord (highly impressive new multipart plastic kit to be released)
Chaos Sorcerer (force weapon as standard).

N.B. No restricted units i.e. the Ancient enemies rule is gone.

These are all individual entries.

Elites

Possessed Chaos Space Marines (New models on the way which are a vast improvement on the more recent ones)
Dreadnoughts (still frenzy)
Veterans (only unit that can infiltrate)
Terminators – Can be marked (new plastic kit, reasonably impressive but not that different from Imperial versions), points brought into line with Imperial Terminators.

Troops – All troops come with bolter, bolt pistol CC weapon and grenades as standard.
Chaos Marines – Can be marked
Cult Marines
Khorne Bezerkers (lose their Khornate Chain axes).
Plague Marines (lose their plague weapons but keep blight grenades)
Noise Marines (retain their options for sonic weaponary but may be more restricted, Doom caster is AP3).
Thousand Sons (Power armour save / 4+ Invul save) and bolters with inferno bolts (AP3)

Fast Attack

Raptors – Can be marked (new champion model on the way) no 0-1 restriction.
Bikes – Can be marked

Heavy Support

Obliterators – Can be marked, S and T reduced to 4, no 0-1 restriction.
Defiler – Loses indirect fire option but can be given a CC upgrade.
Vindicator (New plastic model for release).
Havocs
Predators

Misc Rumours
Codex follows the DA/Eldar format.
No books of Chaos in the codex.
Daemons (greater/lesser) have generic stat lines (will be expanded upon in a Daemon/LatD codex).
New unit – Chaos Spawn (1-3 cannot be split)
No basilisk option in the codex.
Wargear highly restricted – Daemonic gifts are gone, options are all given in unit entries.
Daemon weapons standardised – power weapon 1D6 attacks (if you roll a one you take a wound), can be upgraded with power specific options i.e. Khorne gives 2D6 attacks.
Any unit can be marked to the Chaos gods in the form of a Icon, marks are as follows – Khorne (+1A), Nurgle (+1T), Slaanesh (+1I), Tzeentch (+1 to invul save (max 2+) if already present or gives a basic 5+ invul save).
Recut CSM sprue.
Special characters – All survive and now include Huron Blackheart (model due for release) Ahriman has all chaos psychic powers and a force weapon as standard.

I love the new chaos Lord plastic sprue and the upcoming Termies, as well as the well known Houron Blackheart. <3

Though I think his hand/claw look like s**t... xD;;;

AND JUST LOOK AT THE POSESSED SPRUE!1 Seriously, I belive this is a conspiracy...

Look back at the last posessed models GW made, and now this super awesome plastic sprue... They made them ugly so that Chaos players WILL buy this new sprue... <_<;;; xD

But I like the idea of that they put in god specific bits in the chaos marine command sprue for once.

And no more super abuse of veteran skills anymore. :B (Then finally I might have a chance against my rival traitor legion... <3 )

Wow for the first time I feel Games Workshop is really taking steps in the right direction to make an army balanced.

hmmm, well I have some slightly more specififc rumors for everyone.

Khorne losing their chain axes is a little depressing, just as long as they make up for it somehow though.

This is everything I've heard.

++ rumour update ++

the codex is going to represent chaos space marine renegades, and cult chaos space marines.

the cult marines represent the 10,000 year old veterans, and black legion devotees

the chaos space marines will be the renegades and other legion troops, they can be marked, but will not be gifted to the extent that cult marines are.

death guard
bolter, bolt pistol, close combat weapon, frag grenades, krak grenades, blight grenades
+1 toughness, feel no pain

all the other gods will have the same kind troops entries, death guard are a whole new entry like back in the thin brown codex and previous 40k rulebook, troops only, so apparently the onlydeath guard you can have are troops.

- generic replacements for deamons

- dreadnoughts in elite
- obliterators in heavy support
- basalisk option and vindicator option for IW's removed
- all now follow normal FOC, no individual legion rules exist
- no favoured numbers
- no veteran skills, except for on chosen/veterans
- possessed go back to rolling a d6 for their gift
- one generic daemon weapon: power weapon with +1 str and d6 attacks, on a roll of a one something bad happens
- armoury and gift list gone, dop down options for entries like codex; tyranids
- daemonic speed gone
- generic daemons and greater daemon do not take up slots in the FOC
- spawns as fast attack
- defiler cost reduced and given the option for combat capabilities (fleet)
- obliterators dropped to toughness 4, focus on ability to morph energy weapons and not slug weapons (plasma cannons)
- rhino cost reduced ( we would now have access to these freely unlike the current codex)
- daemon packs dead

++ Further update ++

- minimum squad size of 3 for terminators
- 1 reaper autocannon in terminator squads
- UNRELIABLE: obliterators now only have heavy bolter, autocannon and plasma cannon
- raptor price drop
- plague sword gone

nurgles rot:
psychic power, requires a psychic test in oder to use
all models within 12" take a str 3 hit

warp time:
psychic power, requires a psychic test to use
re-roll misses and failed to wound rolls this turn

these may be subject to change but this is the incarnation at the moment
this isnt a final copy, this just shows what gw are thinking at the moment, its a long time until the final copy is released so anything could change, but this is near solid information and i for one am planning ahead

other powers?

emperors children:
+1 initiative, sonic weapons
blast krak missile sonic weapon, ap3 sonic weapon, the names escape me

thousand sons:
5+ invulnerable or +1 to invulnerable if already got one, ap 3 bolters as standard
sorceror champions can cast two powers a turn, come with force weapons
thousand sons roll 1d6 slow and purposeful, addition of a sorceror makes it slow and purposeful proper
bolt of change is ap1
psychic powers have to be tested for now

world eaters:
ws 5, furious charge, +1 attack
lose frenzy, lose chain axes

Daemon Prince:

the daemon prince is now a whole seperate entry in the hq section; it costs 110 points and comes with
ws 7
bs 3/0 (not sure but it cant shoot weapons so...)
s 5
t 5
w 4
i 5
a 4
ld 10
sv 2+/5+

can be given wings and psychic powers
does not have access to more weapons, comes with single ccw as standard
(hoping that isnt true)

And as always with a new codex, some things will annoy me, but some things I will like. I just hope I won't have to change the appereance any of my plaguemarines, my whole army is already converted and fully painted, hoping there won't be any real change to them.

ah, no worries, it's all good.

Unfortunatley I'm short on the money still for my primarch...(well sort of, I wanted to finish my DA army first before spending money on the primarch, like said I just need bits and that's it.)

Other wise It's been a good 3 weeks since the last time I played a game. xp

Been doing other things, still looking for Warhammer to really grasp my interest once again considering my friends and I hardly ever get together anymore for a good game.

Thanks Dart, its never an easy thing to have happen suddenly.

Red ! Honda ! Every one !! How goes it ! I think its been while for every one lately. Its been way to long since my last game of 40k I think I'm gonna have to play against my self just for fun... And come to think of it, that would actually be entirely possible because the game depends on random dice rolls, hmm I feel bored enough to try that.

It's kinda fun sometimes....except you can still decide which army is gonna win....I'm gonna hoepfully play a game using my DA this Friday.

I guess so, but I think the dice decide more often then not. If you use victory point perhaps it might be even easier to play this way.
