Robespierre is pretty standard, I find. I mean, they taught us about him in World History in the 10th grade, and if America has a non-American historical figure in their textbooks, you know he's not uncommon knowledge.
They get more obscure, though: [x]

Loli! Was it Emperess Wang Zhi? =D
Because I had a Chinese History Class like 5 years ago and we spent a lot of time on the Emperor who was all Pro-Confucianism but who's mother and grandmother were basicly doing everythign for him.
She's also the name sake of Zhi Xiqui D< (I totally named her and Mao o-o)

No, Wu Zetian. She was the only Empress of China who was actually the Empress, rather than just pulling the strings of the Emperor. I mean, she ruled through her husband and her sons for a while, but then she founded her own dynasty and ruled by herself.

Seriously, for a class that was "China History" we spent about 1/3 of the class on Han Wu then the rest on Mao Zedong .-.
I mean, sure, they were important and It be stupid not to talk about them, but JUST them? no.

I just took a swig of Tylenol and read. =D That did the trick.
So this festival is really lame. Dx The people who run the various yakitori stands came together to make an Uber Stand, and they had some drummers, but that was kind of it. Everyone was staring at me. ;____;
