Kuri knew he would reach his limit soon if he didn't stop molding his chakra soon, and so he broke the rabbit seal, watching Raikane perform Bunshin no Jutsu while he started to come down from his euphoric moment. He watched intently as his fellow student performed a string of hand seals. When the boy spoke, Kuri looked up at his face and smiled. It seemed that this Rai kid was much nicer than the others he'd met so far, so he let his guard down a bit.

"Pleased to meet you, Rai-san. My name is Kuriarare. Kuri, if you will,"he replied earnestly, meeting Rai's hand with his own in greeting.

Kuri chuckled as Rai commented on his name. He loved his name, it was what drove him to succeed, what reminded him of his past and his future, but other people always had a difficult time pronouncing it, and so his nickname was born. He watched closely as Rai made a copy of himself again, and wanted very badly to try and do it himself. The hand seals were easy, but it was hard to discern just what else went into execution of the technique. He figured the best way to find out was to ask.

"This is my first day, actually," Kuri replied as he turned his attention to the clone that Rai had made. To his eyes, the double was the spiting image of the original, which he presumed was the point, but was amazing to him none the less. His mind began to wander, thinking of how this feat might have been accomplished. So far all Kuri knew how to do was focus chakra within his own body. He supposed, however, that projecting said chakra out should only be a little more difficult.

Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)

Excited to see if he could make a habit out of this, Kuri formed the hand seals again, drawing chakra to his right side before trying to extend it outwards. Instead of creating a silhouette like last time, all he managed to create was a small fleeting cloud, one that wasn't even a third of Kuri's size. Of course, that was still a fairly tall cloud, but not quite tall enough to be a person, except maybe a five year old.

Not letting a little failure get him down (not this time, anyways), Kuri turned his attention to his first attempt. A first attempt that was damned good, mind you. He wondered what he could do with these clones, and so, he visualized it raising its right hand above its head, and sure enough, the clone followed suit.

Rai smiled at Kuri. He seemed like a nice enough person so Rai took interest. He watched as Kuri made a clone and was a little shocked. Rai had to read out of a scroll to learn it and hes still not done training it but it seemed natural to him. Kuri did it on pure deduction he thought. Rai knew he had found someone who could push him and make him stronger. His smile grew as he watched longer. He watched as Kuri made his second clone. He assumed it was a failure. "It's okay Kuri. You just did something I had to use a scroll to do. SO in my books I say you're doing pretty good." He smiled hoping Kuri's spirits wouldn't drop.

Rai didn't hear the teacher come in. He practically jumped when the teacher spoke behind him. Well he assumed it was the teacher. He may not have jumped but Rai did "yeep" from surprise. He held back and embarrassed face and looked at the man. "My name is Raikane Mikiru. I kind of started today. I guess that's what you would call it." Rai looked at the file in the man's hand and hoped he wouldn't be getting homework on top of all the training he has to do. He tried to put on a smile and avoid looking at the file but his eyes always seemed to slip and glance at it. Fear slowly bubbled up within himself. He bit his lip trying to ignore it and remembered he wasn't alone.

Rai watched and laughed with Kuri. "Oh you don't need to thank me. Honestly. . . I didn't even help you. You just picked it up on your own. . . I am rather jealous to be honest." Rai kept his smile in check and focused on his chakra. The flow coursed through his entire body. The clone appeared beside him. Not much detail but it would have to do. Rai held out the seat for the clone and sat down. The clone had his basic structure and everything but lacked some personality to its face. Rai smiled and waved through the clone making it disappear. He turned his attention back to Kuri. "Your really good Kuri." His smile grew bigger.

Kuri felt like he would never grow bored with his new creation, but he realized that it was time to make it better. Rai's clones looked exactly like him, which is what Kuri needed to work towards if he wanted to perfect this technique.
He raised his hand and reeled back as the clone did the same, before their hands both met for a high five. On contact, the clone vanished into thin air, leaving only the real Kuri.

Andou would have laughed at Mikiru's nervousness if he was capable. So instead he settled for a smirk, but it was not a malicious one. Andou genuinely found this kid, could he really use that word to describe it, cute? He reminded Andou of how his best friend Batou had been at that age.

"You suppose that's what I would call it?" he said archly with an eyebrow raised but joking smirk still in place. "That's a pretty good clone you have there." He also noticed that Kuri had moved on to the clone jutsu, probably having finished the chakra molding and hand seal exercises he had assigned him. "I envision the clone technique to be basically using chakra as a sort of molding material, to create a shell that looks like you or whoever you want it to be really. That was also a good clone for your first try."

He stretched, listening to Rai speak about being a medic-nin. One cynical part of him thought: What did Rai expect to be doing in the future? Not killing lives? I mean, they were shinobi and killing was what they did. The rival thing was pretty cute though.

"So Hoshigaki, Mikiru, what do you wish to learn then? I assume you came here for something, right?" he asked the two, finally addressing Mizuiro directly since he had spouted a quote at him. "Also, we are going to take a break soon and move outside, so I'd finish up anything I wanted to do now."

Andou shrugged at Rai's statement. "Those are some lofty ideals you have there kid..." he merely said. "I hope that you will be strong enough to uphold them. Of course, that's where I come in as well. Don't forget to give proper credit to where it's due when you become Chief Medic-Nin." His smirk had faded so this was all said with a completely expressionless face.

"Ah, my name is Saitou Andou. Call me whatever works. And okay then, if you are all ready..." Andou looked over at Tenshi still training in the corner, at Mizuiro, at Kuri and at Rai. "We'll move up to the training fields outside the academy for some taijutsu. It's a beautiful day and I'm sure none of you want to spend it cooped up indoors. After that will be lunch break."

He began to head up the stairs to the exit. "First two who get to the fields get to spar with each other. The last ones get to spar with me. My water clone, of course. Or I might change it up halfway through. We'll see."
