You know what? This is a Discussion thread! And you know what else?
I'm gonna try and start some discussion!
What do you all think the motivations for each character are? Duelist or otherwise even!
I'll start!
I think Rachel feels a need for controlling her surroundings.
I think Maarten wants to make an image of himself and get Daddy's approval.
I think Charlie wants Mom's approval but to have it on her own terms.
I think Rodas was a twit.
I think Sofie wants to be equal to everyone. I think she feels slightly inferior because of her blindness. (Though she has one hell of a swing with that cane! She should call it The Great Equilizer!)
I think Dorian.. hm. Toughie. I think Dorian also wants parental approval but wants it on her own terms as well. She's determined to do things her way and damn the consequences. (Even if she knows she's being stupid about it.)
And that's some of the characters!
