Maizen drifted off towards the music. "We don't need to split up, we can just... follow our ears. It's coming from there." He pointed towards the center of the ruins and began to pick up speed, following the sounds. He didn't like being in the creepy and possibly haunted place without any trees around.

::as Maizen began to move towards the sound it seemed to grow a little happier, seeming to call to him to come closer, to come and find the sound. It tugged at him gently, like the insistant hands of a child on it parents sleeve::

"I've got a bomb, anyways." said Aoi, following Maizen. Advantage, me. If it is a trap, Maizen will most likely be caught leaving me an easier chance of survival. he thought. This music is certainly strange though...

He noted her un-intruige, and the laziness of the only half-opened eye. He heaved a sigh as he sat there and he slowly, and matching her laziness, shook his head. "Not to be rude, but it is not like you are doing anything of importance anyways." He said, no expression upon his face. "I may not be important...but one day...you'll eat those words. One day...I'll be more important then you...or anyone in this pathetic place." He growled as he sat up. "Oh, and my name...it's Nero. You won't have trouble remembering it I'm sure...since I am going to be bigger then any of the pitiful hokage." He said with a grin. "Anything else you want out of my introduction...sensei." He said, stating the sensei part obviously sarcastic.

Everything just..felt wrong. Haka shakes her head, and follows behind Maizen and Aoi. She closes her eyes for a moment..but the sound has just been tugging at her. She reaches to her clothing, and tears two small pieces off, balling them up, then stuffing them in her ears. Music coming out of nowhere..a mysterious burned city..no, things like this were always out of place. Maizen was kind to her, but even so, statistically he'd be the first to fall most likely in physical combat. Aoi seems to be able to manipulate his bones, so she doubts he'll need a medical ninja if he gets hurt, but she's not as durable. She'll need to make sure she's just a step behind Maizen, in case he gets attacked or caught in something.

Haka's family Kekkei dealt with Genjutsu, so she tended to suspect a Genjutsu in a situation like this with odd circumstances. Unable to hear for the most part now due to the stuffing in her ears, she follows on sight and feeling now, keeping close to Maizen to make sure if he's struck or caught off gaurd, she can take a position in front of him or to his side, wherever an attack might originate from. She isn't particularly brave or heroic, but if she takes a hit, Maizen can plausibly heal her some, but if he takes a hit that's too hard, not only would he be unable to be healed, but their healer would be out of the picture, leaving a double handicap. If nothing else, she' d listened to her mother's lessons.

::the pull for Haka would be less, once the fabric was shoved in her ears, but it would still pull at the others, leading them towards the center of the village::

: surprised nce they reached the center, they would find a fountain, large and out of white stone, no water ran from it, it seemed to have been empty for awhile. Surprisingly, it was clear of ash, unlike the rest of the city. Sitting on the edge, with a large harp of silver, was a young man, maybe 18, with snow white hair and pale, creamy skin. His fingers ran over the cords of the harp gently::

::Buki bothered herself to open one eye again, Shizu snorted in a disgusted fashion::

You will quickly learn that not all things are what they seem here, Nero.

::she stood now, both eyes open and moving to a door behind her desk::

You're almost late, but not so much as to be of no use at all.

::the door, which should have lead to deeper in the school building, did not. Instead it opened to a hilltop over looking a charred city, devoid of anything save the soft sound of music drifting on the breeze::

Your classmates await, if you care to remove your rump from my desk

Buki's Classroom

The sound of mewing filled the halls, as the student literally rushed past other students, bowling them over, knocking them down, a hastily muttered stream of 'Gomen', following in her wake, before she breaks into the classroom at a run, trips over her own sandals, and crashes headlong into the teachers desk, knocking it so hard it skids just enough to knock Nero off it.

"Itaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww," she struggled up into a sitting position, rubbing her head slowly, as a rather small cheetah kit trotted up behind her, nudging her back.

"I'msorryI'mlateIreallyamyouseeIcouldn'tgetKikooutofbedandInevergoanywherewithouther
and I'm sssssssoooooooorrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyy," a yowling sound from the young girls throat, as she bowed, and almost smacked her head into the desk again.

"It won't happen again, Sensei," she peeked up slowly from under her oddly faded hair, giving a hopeful smile.

Seeing the boy, who somewhat reminded Aoi of himself, as they both had pale skin and white hair, Aoi moved his hands behind his back, slowly extending the bones from his arms out through his wrist, making them bladed. "So," said Aoi, staring at the person, "Who might you be?". Hmm, I thought this was some sort of trap. I just hope they have the same strategy as regular predators.

Nero was about to go through the door to go into the depths of this place...but as he did some nutso person bursted into the class, slamming into the desk he was sitting on. He fell off onto the floor and when he stood up he glared her down, his hatred for people was immense, so when he was disturbed by someone, the hatred goes up even more....so he was feeling some prety intence loathing for this person. She was talking far too fast for her own good, and it only annoyed him further. He looked at her with utter discust and he shook his head. "You are pathetic." He spat as he shook his head, turning and walking towards the door. He looked at his sensei and he smirked as he looked deep into her eyes. But he didn't look long, he just sneered and changed his view to the wolf. "You'd be good..." He said with a grin. "For a coat." He said, laughing as he walked on by the wolf and out the door. He then looked back over his shoulder as he was through the door.

"Oh, and as for you, you crazy mut." He growled towards the newest student. "You....should tell me when your kitty grows up so I can get a two for one deal on the jackets. Such a nice looking fur." He said with a smirk as he walked into the area, slowly however, it was obvious he was in no rush. He had no idea where anyone was...so he wasn't too worried about doing much until he learned what he was supposed to be doing.

::As Nero left, Buki grinned, slowly and widely, her own smirk looking slightly catish, a chuckle deep in her throat as if at some private thought to herself. She left the door open and went to the girl, kneeling down to bring her yellow slitted eyes close to her face::

Thats going to be quite the bump you're going to have there.

::she glanced back at Shizu, who seemed to be laughing a bit as well::

Late, yes, but not so much as you cannot join the others.

::in her hand was a slip of paper, she handed it to the new student with a gentle smile::

Take this and join the others...

::she motioned towards the open door in the back of the room::

...and remember, not everything is as it seems

~*~Burnt City~*~

::the harper did not look up, indeed he almost seemed not to notice that he had company at all, and made no effort to answer the question. He continued to play the harp, the sound changing to something slow and sad::

Buki's Classroom

Tsume looked up at Buki, taking the paper gingerly from her hands, before staring after the figure that had made not only her hackles, but her pets hackles raise with that announcement of 'fur coat'. If there was one thing you never wanted to say to a Nekoseki, that was probably it.

"Not everything is as it seems? Hai, Sensei," and with the utmost respect, Tsume stood, or as close as you could judge her standing, her front arms still resting on the ground, as her lips curled into a snarl.

Burnt City

She murmured something back to her cat, who vaulted up onto her back as Tsume shoved off the ground, and vaulted over the desk, landing as lightly as one could imagine a full grown woman landing, before she launched upward a second time, this time, sailing through the door, bringing her lower body forward in a twist, as both sandal clad feet planted themselves in Nero's back, just under his shoulders, driving him straight into the ground.

Her monstrous strength was good for something. She then kicked up off him, forcing him down into the ground further, before spiraling, landing in that same crouch as before, just a few feet in front of him.

"If I'm pathetic, why are you eating dirt?" and she sprung backwards, turning as she landed, and breaking off into a dead run. It would take her time to catch up with people she knew this. But if nothing else, the guy she'd just pounced on had deserved it. She knew that she should show cooperation with her fellow nin, but dammit, no one threatens her Kiko but her!

She wasn't exactly sure where she was heading, but towards the middle seemed to be a good enough guess. The scent of people drifted to her nose long before the sound of harp music met her ears, and the chirping yips of Kiko confirmed this.

"Hai hai. We're going that way," an idle comment to the feline riding her back as she kept bowed, changing direction mid stride, as she headed towards the trail of scent left behind by the passage of people.

Maizen inched his way to stand by the harper. "Ex-excuse me? What happened here? What's going on?" He asked in a small, relieved voice. There was someone here, amidst all of the wanton destruction and ashes of ruin. That had to be good, right?

Nero smirked as he walked, this place was utterly boring, and he was truely un-interested in teamwork of any sorts. He didn't like people, and they didn't like him, it was how it went. When you're baptised in your parents blood...it's sometimes just the way things turn out to be. He smirked as he thought of the memories, wonderful wonderful memories. He grinned from ear to ear and then felt feet on his back, he had dropped his guard. He was about to swing around, but he felt the sandals push and he was sent sprawling into the dirt. What a low tactic, a back assult. He made a grunting noise and he had made his way to his feet by the time that she was talking about him eating dirt. His eyes narrowed and he watched her turn and run. He smirked to himself....first the back attack and then she runs away. He took a deep breath, and for the first time he stopped to remember the force she had placed into that attack...and the grace in which she was sprinting away with...and suddenly those negetive things became positive in the back of his mind.

She was strong...and that was something...actually, the ONLY thing that was admirable to him. He smirked as his feet hit the ground and he took off in a run, he couldn't keep up with this person, that was for damned sure, but he could indefinately follow the marks left by her sandals. He would have to follow for a while before he cought up though...that was for sure, because she was much faster, so he would have to follow until she stopped basicly. He just smiled to himself and he kept his eyes on the tracks infront of him. He wanted to find her...so he could return the favour for that attack from behind....lord knows she deserves it.

Burnt City

Eventually the young girl went from moving across the ground, to bouncing up, over, and off structures, leaving scatterings of dust, but in a city that constantly resettled itself, it was hard to tell where she'd been. She was heading toward where her nose led her, and that was where she eventually emerged, just on the fringe of the other students, the soft chirp of her cheetah cub probably heard before she herself was noticed, crouched as she was, nose lifted, trying to discern who here was foe, and who wasn't. If these people had gotten paper from, or been around Buki, there would be a little remaining of her own scent.

That would be the deciding factor. When she finally catches the sound of the music, her eyes narrow, and then widen, almost in a relaxed fashion. The sound was soothing. But soothing things weren't always what they seemed. Was that what Buki had meant? That not everything was as it seems?

Annoyed by the fact that the harp player seemed to take no notice of him, he decided to force the other person to acknowledge their presence, with a little force. Growing a blade out through his right wrist, he held it up to the musician's neck. "Now, I ask you again, who are you?"
