As Nav slowly gained consciousness she heard Hitomi's voice. She sat up and opened her eyes. Her vision was blurred but she could make out Hitomi's physical traits. She rubbed her head a bit because it hurt from hitting the ground. "Hitomi?! Is that you? This heat is getting to me. I must have fainted." Navalie said as she gripped Hitomi firmly and tried to stand up. Once she was up she nearly fell down again. "My vision is blurred and I can barely stand. Lovely." Navalie said with sarcasm towards the end. She was in no physical condition to be walking at all but she needed to get out of the heat before it got the better of her.

Hitomi decided to use her brain over her lack of muscle. She took the left sleeve of her hoari and wrapped it around Nav's left shoulder, putting a tension knot in to hold it. (The first crossover when you're tying your shoes, sometimes called a half-knot) She held Nav's right shoulder and pulled her carefully into the shade of the library. She quickly slipped her sleeve out of its knot in order to hide the fact that her arm was gone. She pulled out a piece of cloth from the pouch on her right side, pulled the cap on her flask of water, and used half of it in soaking the cloth. She placed it on Nav's head, which she realized was resting in her lap, because she'd been so off-balance that she'd had to be sitting down practically to move Nav. What a wonder losing an arm can do to your center of gravity... "Do you need anything, Nav?" Hitomi didn't notice that the first note she'd written before the exams had fallen out of her pouch... Addressed to Navalie Taida...

Henka Shizuka

PostPosted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 1:06 am

"It feels as if I'm in my own prison...but I have the chance to escape but yet I know I can't..." Any normal girl of Iwagakure would of been hanging out with her friends...but Shizuka herself was always busy taking care of her mother, it was hard to do the things she wanted to do without leaving her mother to suffer. The Henka clan member would pick up a pebble next to her foot and looked at it closely as if she was studying it. "Even the smallest rock can have it's use...but small rocks will always corrode to become nothing faster then a bigger rock..." She would toss the rock into a close by puddle. "Then again...the little rocks can always come together to make a sedimentary rock along with other rocks to become bigger then they ever were before." With a sigh, she wished she was left back in the academy so she would have chronos and Shinratsu to talk to more. But taking care of her mother was what always came first...even if it got into the way of becoming a shinobi for her mother.

Once in the cool shade of the library with a wet cloth on her head, Navalie began to regain her vision. "Ah, I can see again." Navalie said as she met eyes with Hitomi before noticing a sheet of paper on the floor. Out of curiosity she asked. "What's that?" As she pointed to the paper and picked it up. By then she had propped herself up into a sitting position and she quickly glanced at the note. All this commotion was all so sudden, especially after she had just done an extreme apartment makeover. That and completely redid her entire wardrobe. Speaking of notes, she hadn't sent anything to her sister in Kiri for a couple of days. Of course she didn't know of the heavy battles going on around that village. Her mind began to wander until she remembered Giglamesh. Knowing her luck he was probably jounin by now. Back to Hitomi's question. "Umm, not really. . ." She said softly as she looked at Hitomi and thought a bit more.

Oh f**k. "I- it's nothing..." Hitomi felt her cheeks get so hot, she thought she'd faint... Hitomi suddenly realized how they were situated.. But she couldn't move and let Nav's head fall... She was trapped here, and she couldn't take back the note, because Nav could easily have it if she wanted it... Hitomi really had no choice in this one... Because taking it back would mean telling Nav what it was... And not taking it back would tell her anyway... Hitomi didn't think she could very well lie to Nav for many reasons... "Just something I wrote down... Just in case...."

Navalie grew curious as to why Hitomi was so shaky and uneasy. She automatically assumed that it had something to do with the note so she all out ignored that it ever existed. "Never mind. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." She said as she looked at Hitomi with her kind and gentle smile. She couldn't help but wonder if this sort of thing happened in the village frequently. Of course something important dawned on her. Something she had completely forgot about. Something she was oblivious about. She hadn't seen Marcus for quite a bit. That and she was dying to purchase a new weapon. She also remembered Kinami. Then it dawned on her. People had seen her around town. She couldn't wait to see her way older cousin again.

Shinku was, of course, found wandering around the village... with absolutely nothing to do. Still with no sensei, he was falling further and further behind his own sister! Now if she was olde rthen him, even the older twin of the two, then he might be able to accept her rise in strength. But she wasn't... He was supposed to be the stronger one, the protector of the two. He was supposed to be the man! Grumbling to himself he rounded another corner on the way home.

"Hey, Shinku! Wait up, brother!" Shuiro wasn't too far behind him. Finally senseing his preasence on the streets, as his chakra aided her in 'seeing' him, she ran and weaved through the crowds and caught up. She already knew his destination. Being as close and as bonding as a twin she could be, she sensed the brooding aura he was giving off. "You hungry?" She wasn't quite sure what to say or think, after all... she couldn't read his mind... she just figured food would solve whatever the problem was...

Glaring at her for a second, he turned his back and continued to walk. "Sure" That was all he could say... he didn't feel like he had to explain himself... Then something odd happened. Someone... strangely familiar... was walking through the crowds just as they were. He looked carefully to his sister who looked back with the same concern. "She came from home... you follow here... I'll go check out the house." And with that the two split up... once again going their seperate ways. By the time he reached the house he could only feel the presence of one being... Etna.

Shuiro trailed behind the woman as fast as she could without being noticed. That's where her and her brother's special 'abilities' come in handy... they don't need to see their target to follow them... and follow her she did... all the way to a hotel... What? Why she going in here... It didn't take too much longer to find where she was really going and that there was another person involved as well.

Shinku gracefully walked into the building senseing that the cat was in one of the upstairs rooms... She would have sensed him already and would know that he's sensed her... so there was no need for conversation as he merrily went his way into the kitchen. Right now... it was time to cook. Ryoko had always been so good to them, letting them live there and all, so he figured why not do her a favor... while sorting out his thoughts as well... Perhaps Etna would come down to and even shine a light on what had been going on before he arrived.

"But-" For once in a long time, the answer wasn't jsut coming to her... She'd never faltered when giving this advice to others, but now she realized how hard it was to actually do it... "... I do want to tell you... I just don't want that to... That was just in case... I- have a question... And I think you're the best one who can answer it." Hitomi had trouble meeting Nav's eyes... She wouldn't feel right just saying it... It wouldn't be fair... It was better this way. Hitomi gave her a smile, letting her rest a while longer. She's absolutely gorgeous... Hitomi felt her cheeks warm again. She had actually been touching her... Hitomi felt less than human, now that her arm was gone. She had tried her best to mask it, but there was no way to hide the lack of body when she moved... The sleeve of her haori just lay there, lifeless. On top of that, pile on her missing eye and her scars, and there wasn't much left to be attracted to...

She'd made it around the corners and up the stairways... The features of the 'new' guy were becomming clearer as she stepped closer... but... their conversation was... odd. Wait... what did he call Lady Kage? Hmmm... the plot thickens... but what should she do? All she could think of was to stay close and get the jist of it all... and hopefully remain unnoticed.

Navalie looked at Hitomi and paused. She couldn't tell what was so important enough to make Hitomi queasy. She was willing to stop the question outright and forget it ever existed. "Don't worry about it. I'm always around the village if you ever come around to saying what you want or answering all your questions. So. . . Want to spar or something?" Navalie threw out as a possible option. The only thing about a spar was she was still a little uneasy after passing out from the heat. Though by now she had pretty much regained her top condition and was bored and wanted to get rid of her sudden restlessness by some action. Of course she didn't know if she would beat her to a pulp if she sparred. Either way she was always making way for improvement. Though she couldn't help but wonder what her father would think once they met each other. She was just glad she pulled her nonsensical act together.

Hitomi was fighting that internal battle again... She wanted to shout it to high heaven, but tact and fear banded together to stop her. "I-" Hitomi couldn't do it right now. She would do it later. I promise I'll do it. "If you're feeling up to it, I'll do anything f- with you." Good. I caught myself. Hitomi had been about to say 'I'll do anything for you... Which wouldn't have been a lie. Hitomi gave her best smile. "The question is, are you able to be up and about?"
