Lord Haelstrom The only difference I'd point out, is that blackface actors were impersonating what they portrayed blacks as pure comedy / a form of insult. There was no real social commentary to be had or any deeper underlying meaning to said portrayals, and of course they were radically inaccurate.

The Great Absolute Who gives a s**t. Black face is funny. Imagine a Carlos Mencia act where he makes 75% of his standup a different take on "white and black folk do this! Mexicans do THIS!" and sprouts random Spanish. Now imagine that as a medium. That's black face. Even if you ignore the racism, it's about as funny as shitting yourself a little while you're sick in bed.

There's much easier and more satisfying ways to piss people off. themightyjello All I heard was "watch the Chappelle Show". It was far more entertaining than Mind of Mencia though.
