James strolled into the academy like he owned the place, and he guessed in his own little way he did with his laboratory in the basement, but this place of practice and learning had been James home more than the apartment he actually called his own.
The big man walked in and looked over the academy through his blue eyes and under his slightly spiking blonde hair. adjusting a small strap on his red and black armor as his ice headband.
James looked at hi son and the new ninja, and gave a general call.
"OK, Kids, I'm here for training if anyone needs any help! So don't be shy and grab me so you can get your jutsu down right."
"Iron can be cold, but show it the proper heat and it can be warm, the same is true with me."

Kohaku nodded slowly and watched him continue to tease his sister. He smiled slightly and bowed to Theodin, letting him get back to training. James gave a smile to his son, of course he would help with taijutsu, James hadn't specialized in the arts of hand to hand combat, but he knew enough to stand his ground with any Ninja.
"Stage 3 huh, ok sure." James walked over to a wall and pulled down the proper scroll.
James rolled it out and walked over beside his son, "Ah, I know this style, I've seen your mother train it, So you should be on the Lion Sweeping and chopping." James sat the scroll with instructions on a table and looked to his son.
"The move is a roundhouse kick to the lower body, followed by a same side elbow to the head, the idea it to take your opponent to the knees and then destroy them."
James made a handseal and his body began to cover itself in icy armor warping over him.
"Practice it a few times in the air, and then try it full speed with me, this armor will eat all of the impact. and don't forget to pivot your front foot and torque your hip.""

Theodin nodded at his dad’s instruction, “Alright.” He then took his stance, turning his front foot out, he brought his leg around in a round kick at what would be his lower ribs. Just as he torqued his hips, he brought the elbow from that side around to strike at where the side of the head would be, following with a downward elbow to the shoulder. (1/3) He repeated this simple combination again, going through the motions without a target. He could feel his muscles get used to the motions and felt himself getting faster with them. When he thought he had it down, he turned to James. (2/3) “Here goes nothin’” he joked as he got into his stance in front of the big sannin. Quicjkly turning his foot out as he lifted his leg and brought it around to crash into the big man’s leg, attempting to buckle the knee as he brought the elbow around to the side of james’s head. He then slammed another elbow straight down into his dad’s shoulder, tryingto knock him to the ground. He couldn’t help but be glad for the ice armor. “How was that?” (3/3)

Knives made his way back to that academy, it was his place of calm and where he watched. It seemed calm for now but he knew that the training of the next generation was always needed. James watched Theodin in silence as he practiced the motions, watching his son get a feeling for the maneuver and knowing in his mind that Theodin had come out better than even he could have expected. Theodin was strong, intelligent, and caring of his own fruition, James had left him to choice his own pathway and he felt an immense measure of pride in seeing him grow.
When Theodin launched into the technique James armor absorbed the blows, well struck, but not powerful enough to conquer James armor and damage him, but he gave into the strikes for the impact and broke his fall as he dropped back. James held a hand up to his son as he spoke.
"Well struck Son, just add a little more turn over in your hip.
The next technique plays off of that one, but I want you to use you knees to carry me over and cover so that you can pin your opponent down and reign blows. Phoenix Launching and Hunting"

Theodin nodded, noting James’s comment on that round kick, he’d have to remember that for later. Theodin tried the basic movement first, launching himself into the air, throwing both his knees forward. He maintained this position until just before he hit the ground, as if riding the opponent down toward the ground. He then tucked into a roll to avoid busting his knees on the ground. (1/3) Before testing the next technique on his dad’s armor, Theodin decided a shadow clone would be good, so he made a handsign and a clone appeared in front of him. Theodin then launched himself into the air at his clone, knocking the clone’s arm aside as both knees slammed into the clone’s chest. Using his momentum to drive the clone to the ground and pin it with his knees, he rained punches down on the clones head until it poofed away. (2/3) Thinking he had it, he squared off with James again, using the all the power in his legs to launch himself into the air, slamming both knees right into his dad’s chest. Using the force of his hit, along with gravity, to ride the big man down to the ground, he held him pinned as he launched a few quick punches at his face, stopping just short of contact. (3/3) Getting up, he reached down to help James up, hoping he got that right, an ready for the next technique.

James nodded under his armor, "Good, good, I'd also suggest moving a knee to pin an opponents arm to limit how they can retaliate."
James brushed himself off and checked the list, "ok Bud this one is going to be a little hard with me, so if you can get it on a man my sie you can get anyone. I want you to add some chakra into it as well. Grab a limb you can manipulate, get your opponent off balance, and reign hell on them with the other hand. Try and make the last one really count."

Theodin nodded, trying to think of how to move James around. He started off, in the air, trying to get the feel for the rubberband motion of the strikes. After a few tries, h decided to try it on something a bit more solid. (1/3) He poofed up another shadow clone, grabbing ahold of the clones armor, channeling chakra through his arm and hand to add to his strength. He just stood there for a minute, shaking his clone around by its armor, getting used to jerking someone around, he wasn’t quite as big as James, but it was a start. When he felt like he had control of his clone’s balance, he started whipping the clone in as he launched a couple punches into its stomach. He finished by hitting he clone in the face with his palm, like hitting a gong, driving the clone to the ground. (2/3) Finally he felt ready to try the move on James, He grabbed ahold of the big man’s arm, digging his chakra covered fingers into the ice armor slightly and whipped him around for a second, He then whipped the man in towards him as he torqued his upper body to launch a few hard punches into his stomach, finishing by striking James in the forehead with a heavy palm strike, while theodin launched himself towards his da, trying to make the impact as hard as possible and drive the big hyouton to the ground. (3/3)

Kaori at Kohaku, as he left,
“See you when you return!" She called after him. She looked around and noticed Knives watching from the roof top. She waved at him and used her claws to climb up to him, “Hi!”she said as she settled slightly, perched on a narrow beam, like a cat herself,"Are you going to stay here long? I want to get a lot more jutsu in, but I'd also like to work on Sazanami again with you, Lady Ayame saw fit to promote me to Jounin after that last mission." She told him, half shy and half excited, completely happy that he was there though. She blushed slightly at her forwardness, "Of course you don't have to...."Oh great, now she felt awkward and self conscious. She shook her head and looked at her feet, perhaps she should just go back down and use one of her doton techniques to let the earth swallow her. She gave Knives a shy smile,"Uh... actually, I'm sure you have better things to do... I'll leave you to them, sorry I was so forward..." Kaori told him shyly before she jumped down and formed a couple of hand seals, which created a ball of swirling wind that she landed on. She used the wind ball to travel safely to the ground where she pulled out her Fuuton scroll and buried her face in it in preparation of learning more Fuuton Jutsu.

While it felt awkward, it also made the boy feel lopsided so he moved it to his waist. It felt more natural there than anywhere else so that's where he kept it. Looking up, pleased with himself, Kohaku saw Kaori buried in her scroll again. He decided to take a break and read her clan jutsu scroll with some interest. There was alot in there but he was sure that he could memorize most, if not, all of it. "K-kaori, your face is red." The boy said bluntly before sitting down and beginning to read the scroll. Kaori ignored the academy around her and briefly looked over the Fuuton scroll in her hands. But when Kohaku spoke, she looked up at him and gave him a small smile,
“Yes well, I tend to embarrass myself far to easily.” She told him with a shake of her head. She noticed his headband and smiled, “Good job on getting your headband Kohaku!”Kaori praised as she stood and hugged him, then left him to his studying of the Kihakugan. She walked over to the training dummies and formed a single hand sign. She watched as wind whipped up from nowhere and enveloped the dummy, but it didn’t do much but shudder from the force. [1/2] She frowned in concentration and focused her chakra more, then reformed the hand sign. This time the wind was practically gale force, and sharp as a sword. It surrounded the wooden dummy and sliced and diced it to pieces more appropriate for kindling, not even big enough for fire wood.[2/2]
Kaori released the previous jutsu and focused her chakra once more, this time she was careful to regulate it, because the jutsu she was working on was powerful enough, when performed correctly, to decimate buildings. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, infusing the inhaled air with her chakra. She released the chakra/wind bullet from her mouth, but it fizzled out before it hit the dummy.[1/2] She huffed and tried again, putting just a tiny bit more chakra into the jutsu this time, to make it just strong enough to destroy the dummy, but not to destroy the academy around it. This time it hit, and the dummy exploded with the force of the exploding wind. [2/2]
Kaori looked around and smiled as she saw some sand and dirt on the floor, she picked up two handfuls and made her hands nice and dirty before she formed a hand sign and focused her chakra into her lungs, she then brought her hands, cupped together, to her mouth and blew the air through them. The narrow blast hit the dummy, but barely did a thing. [1/2] Kaori just silently gathered more sand and dirt onto her hands and made the sign again, this time when she blew the chakra infused air through her hands, the dummy was hit with the dusty, chakra infused wind and was sliced to pieces, falling like a tree in the forest. [2/2]
Kaori took her scythe and paced it several paces from her, then went and sat down, completely still. She focused on her chakra and her scythe. This would only work if she was imprisoned or immobilized, which she hoped would never happen, but chances are it would so better to be prepared. She pushed her chakra out and surrounded her scythe with it. It hovered slightly in the air, but didn’t do anything else. [1/2] Kaori pushed more of her chakra out, the scythe took on a slight silver glow with her chakra, but it was only noticeable if someone was actually looking for it. It hovered several feet in the air this time, then whipped forward like a missile and severed the ‘head’ off of one of the dummies that was her ‘captor’. [2/2]
Kaori stood up and dusted the seat of her pants off before she put her scythe to the side for now and focused her chakra into the air around one of the training dummies. It shimmered slightly as she formed the appropriate hand signs and several petals appears around it, but they did no damage. [1/2] Kaori shook her head and reformed the signs, then watched as a veritable army of flower petals wrapped around the dummy, picked it up, and slammed it into a nearby wall. [2/2]
Kaori gathered her chakra into her fist and watched as wind formed in a swirling mass around it. She focused hard and turned to several dummies gathered together and punched, the wind shot forward, but the jutsu fizzled out before it made contact. [1/2] Kaori sighed and looked at her hand, then worked on trying again. She gathered more chakra, focused even harder, and punched, this time the wind raced from her fist and destroyed and area ten times bigger than her tiny hand, the dummies themselves were decimated, and that just made Kaori grin. [2/2]

She proceeded to stand up and shower him with praise before hugging him. Though Kohaku tensed up, he slowly returned the hug before she let him continue his studying. Kohaku continued reading, occasionally looking up to watch her train. The boy yawned, stretching out tiredly and setting aside the Kihakugan scroll. He decided that he should learn some Raiton techniques. He found a scroll at the desk with Raiton techniques and he began reading.
The first technique was simple. He charged the chakra to his palm and let the the chakra course up his fingers. Between his fingers was a thin, eight inch blade of electricity chakra. He swung it around a few times before he released the technique by letting the 'blade' go. [Yaiba no Jutsu [ Blade Technique ] 1/1 learned!]
The next technique was interesting. The boy charged up the chakra into his body and released it, causing sparks of lightning to form into the air. The sparks immediately changed into humming birds that shot forth at a dummy, striking it and causing sparks to scatter across the dummy's body. [Hachidori no Mure no Jutsu [ Swarm of Hummingbirds Technique ] 1/1 learned!]
Seeing a technique that would make the jutsu he performed not hurt him when he cast the techniques. Kohaku charged chakra of his lightning affinity in his whole body, getting used to the tingling zapping sensation until it was unnoticeable. He yawned once more and sat down, looking towards his sister.
