What if you have to have DEAD EGGS/HATCHLINGS on your scroll in order for a ND to occur?
Look at the recent dead eggs, I know at least 3 of the NDs had other dead eggs/hatchlings on the scroll along with them. Also, PF13 said that their friend came back to a ND hatchie and dead eggs.
Anyone remember the ND adult that had a user description that said something like "it knows how much worse off it could be" suggesting death. Maybe it "saw" the death of other eggs on the scroll, and thusly it "knows" it could have ended up dead.
It might be horrible... But it might also be worth a shot..
Quotes from ND failures:
Ioma, "The pink egg on the scroll was forced. The purple just above the funky-green one had almost the same thing done as in my first description, except no fogging at any time."
MaidMarian, "I had three experiments on my sister's scroll, two died because I didn't get to them in time, and the third I added to an ER b/c it said 0 hours when I logged into her scroll."
"I think it was still pink when I unfogged it and added it to the ER. Although I don't remember for /sure/... but I seem to remember I checked the scroll after unfogging it, and there was one dead purple, one fogged purple, and one pink. I think."
Pheonixxfoxx, "Today was the day, I waited 5 minutes until they would die. The Summer was already dead, for I killed it and tried to revive it. That left only 3...I put them in Soti's ER. The Red and Stone got their wings and had the highest number of views to start, but they died. I checked again, I figured the Pink would have died first but it was still holding on, but had no wings! I refreshed and there it was a Neglected hatchling I froze and then panicked for it didn't have it's wings and I knew it would die at any second."
What if they have to be the ONLY egg/hatchling left remaining after other eggs have died/been forced?
Two ideas, involving the intentional death of dragons...
There is a ND named "Surviver" and here are two descriptions of other NDs-
Ygdrassil, "He is the most rebellious of them all. He sometimes refuse to do as he is said and he cares very much for his pride. He hates being wrong, and he sees himself as superior and better than the rest. But, being a neglected dragon, he's got some bad memories of being left alone, so therefore, he decides to stay with the other dragons on my scroll. Just in case."
Mahala, "Mahala came from a dark, more dangerous landscape before she traveled to Hobsyllwin's white ruins. She has seen very bitter and poor dimensions of dragon life, hailing from the wastelands where some herds of dragons had been banished by the councils of old. She overcame the odds against her, and survived- and holds a kind of knowledge one only can hold through a hard life. Mahala is tough as nails, even if her body has been weakened by her abusive past."
My current theory is to pick up 2 CB eggs (so owners don't try to ER), pick up a 3rd egg 30 mins to an hour after, let the first two run out of time and die, ER the 3rd egg, if it doesn't turn ND, let go to hatchling and wait til the end to ER again.
