Ame glanced around. They were now in the heart of a deep and dark forest. The trees swayed eerily, casting long cruel shadows in every direction. The branches of the trees looked as if they were clawed hands, reaching out to grab unsuspecting victims.

Ame stood up, brushing herself off. She sighed inwardly, leaning against a tree, trying to catch her breath. After several moments she finally glanced at the man whom she had run into. It was if the transformation between Lancaster and Fang had been incomplete. She saw that this man had one blue eye, and one golden. When he spoke, the voices of both men emerged. It was strange, yet it seemed that the man was mostly Fang.

This explained why he looked at her with such wonder. He stared at her as if he had never seen her before. Why was that? She glanced down, almost falling backwards again. She hadn't even noticed that she had transformed into her adult form. She giggled softly, and touched Fang on the arm. "I guess you're wondering who I am, right?" She asked him.

She stared at the sky for several moments, she could no longer hear the distant boom of the fireworks and guessed that they had ended hours ago. That didn't matter. The thing that really mattered was to protect Cat.

"We've only met once Fang, and that was when I was small..." she then began to explain all about herself. How sometimes her age went haywire. How sometimes she seemed mature, and other times she seemed child like. "Its because I am a rare type of nymph called a Khalida." She sat down, making herself comfortable and continued. "Khalida's mature faster than other nymphs, or that is what it seems like. Nymphs usually mature at a rate ten times slower than normal humans. Its confusing, so I don't feel like explaining. When I was sixteen, I acted as if I were six. But now I still look little, but I'm beginning to act older. And sometimes, rarely I change into this. But the others, I love them all but they still treat me as if I am a little girl...." she giggled. "Its nice sometimes, but the other day we were in my room and they actually told me to clean it up." she laughed, then continued. "Anyways Khalida's powers are more divined,and usually emerge faster than others. Also Khalida's always have royal blood. The others don't know about that tidbit though...."

It was true, Ame hadn't told the others about her royalness. She knew for a fact now that the princess the book had been speaking of was her. It all matched. However, she wanted to keep that information away from them. It was hard enough them treating her as if she were a child, although she believed they didn't mean to. If they found out she was a princess, they would never ever let her do anything.

Not that they will now she told herself feverishly. If I hadn't had wondered off, Cat wouldn't have gone after me...."

"I saw the man, the one who was after Cat..." she spoke to the ground softly. "He disppeared before I could get any real information out of him." She stared foreward, one small tear fell against her pale cheek. Her skin looked as if it were carved from porcelean. "I'm sorry. Its my fault shes hurt..."

Shinku grinned and laughed a little at the bark. "Don't have to tell me twice..." He said gently. He had his usual black coat draped around his shoulders, a red shirt underneath, blue jeans, and converse to top it off. His red bangs were hanging in his reddish brown eyes and he brushed the strands away easily. He took in a deep breath and could smell pine, flowers, and many other interesting scents of the forest. "So... What do you want to do now?" He asked curiously.

Tsuki sighed slightly as she simply walkedb ehind the two new girls. She wasn't sure who they were actually looking for Cat, Ame, Fang, or that man. Tsuki was a bit different tonight, her eyes were bold black, she felt the full moon's light beaming down on them as she walked. Every full moon Tsuki shapeshifted to something that wasn't herself, it was similar to what Cat and Lancaster [Fang] could do, though different.

SHe simply kept walking, as her "new" black eyes simply looked around for any familiar appearences. She barely followed behind the two girls not really caring if she got lost or not.

Stilll bored!

"Miracles?" She smiled,and her eyes softened. "Yes, sometimes" she said quietly, then looked slightly confused at her. "Kiss the dove?" Risshun looked at the beautiful white bird and held her hand out. She put her finger next to the birds feet so it could jump onto it. She giggled, feeling slightly stupid, but then kissed the top of the doves head. The bird made a quiet koo noise and Risshun just smiled, the bird perched on her index finger.

Hideki shrugged slightly at her first question. "I have no idea, love," he admitted. "Just wandering for now. I've never been here before." He nearly stumbled as she jumped but managed to regain his balance quickly before either of them could fall and tilted his head back, looking at her. "Hey, what's wrong, love?" he asked softly, pausing as she began stammering. Then he smiled, shaking his head. "You've got nothing to worry about," he said confidentally. "I'll protect you!" He smiled as he continued into the forest at a casual pace, just wandering aimlessly through the trees. "That is... unless you want to head back," he added suddenly.

"You don't have to be older to be able to protect someone," Hideki pointed out. "That's not always the case." He laughed quietly, wondering where the comment had come from in the first place. He hadn't said anything about age at all. He couldn't really picture anything happening either. He liked the woods too much to imagine being attacked in them. He paused as she requested they stop and nodded his head as he glanced around, bending slighty to help her down. He followed her to the log and sat down beside her, first making sure it wouldn't roll out from beneath him. He plopped down upon it and looked up as well, towards the moon first thing. He couldn't help loving it. Maybe it was because he was a wolf.

Hideki looked down at her, slightly worried again. It probably didn't help that both of their hair was still wet. "Just... don't get sick, ok love?" He draped his arm around her shoulders again, trying to provide at least a little extra warmth for her. He didn't think it was that cold. He'd admit it was a little chilly, but it didn't bother him too much. He lifted his gaze back to the moon as he heard her next question and pondered it for a couple seconds. "I guess... my first family. I was with them for four years before I transformed and scared them away. I think I really loved them... It was a newly married couple who took me in after I as found." He paused for a moment, closing his eyes. "I never stayed with the others long enough to really love them, and I was always homeschooled so I never really knew anyone my own age before either, unless the people I stayed with had children or something." He shrugged slightly and then fell silent, still gazing at the moon.

That same extremely faint blush came to Hideki's cheeks as he heard her words, and he smiled softly to himself. "...thank you," he said quietly, staying still for her as she leaned against him. Though he turned to look at her as she jumped up, trying not to yawn. Watching her made him feel the need to yawn as well, but he bit his tongue and kept it back. His eyes went to her supposedly injured foot for a moment as he chuckled and then nodded his head. "Alright, the roof sounds good... But are we allowed?" he asked uncertainly. He hadn't been her every long, and he didn't really want to get kicked out somehow. Then he'd have to figure out how to live on his own. It was a lot harder to find a family willing to take in a teenager than one looking for toddlers, especially when that teen had a tail.
