Oh for Heaven's sake, Nick. I never said American news should be kept strictly in American newspapers. I am, however, saying that I want to know what the ******** the government I am currently under is up to. I want to know if they caught the serial rapist in Oslo yet. I want to know what is going on with Tosca and his crew. Of course 9/11 should not have been limited to the American newspapers. Of course we need to know what happened at V-Tech. But we also need to know what happens in the country we happen to live in, and that is exactly what we aren't being told in Norway at the moment!
(Sidenote: I am pretty ill at the moment so my temper is worse than it normally is. Which actually means I am going to bugger off to bed since I seem to be unable of getting my point across, and since it's 11pm and I need to be up at 6am in the morning - which does not help my mood much.)

After Columbine, they were supposed to teach poilce SWAT tactics so they can assess and solve a problem before is escelates. That plan never quite went into fruition. Had poilce been trained enough at handling ONE guy with a gun, then this whole situation would have been handles quickly with minimal deaths.

Because police aren't human and walking in on 21+bodies shot up should inspire more efficiency.

Alexander Leviathan After Columbine, they were supposed to teach poilce SWAT tactics so they can assess and solve a problem before is escelates. That plan never quite went into fruition. Had poilce been trained enough at handling ONE guy with a gun, then this whole situation would have been handles quickly with minimal deaths. SWAT's whole purpose is to deal with s**t like that. The only problem is they're dealing with kids instead of crazy druggies or insane postal service people. Because if someone's kid got shot by a police officer there'd be a huge follow-up cluster ********.

SWAT would be in a world of s**t of they came in, blasted that guy, and ended up killing someone that was a hostage or just trying to get the ******** out of dodge. Even if they were 23, I imagine their parents would be pissed. With good reason.

Neh. Despite being a branch of the government, morality and civility, as well as proper practice as a human, are to be excercised. There are moments where it makes the most sense to take out a person, but these are always last resorts. The END simply don't justify the MEANS. A single police officer going gun's blazing and killing even one student is immeasurably more damaging then some whacko killing 32 people. The loss of life is something that will blow over, but the standards of these situations determines much more.
Not saying it's a good thing, just saying that expecting people to act like movie cops is unrealistic.

The Police weren't trained in that sort of tactical ops. But once SWAT got up to the second floor, the guy blew his own brains out. THE END.

The cops didn't really know who/where the shooter was at the time anyway, right? So it would be stupid and quite pointless to try shooting the kid.
Hmmz, I hope Sierra doesn't mind that I steal her top idear for Sunstrike. I tried drawing my own a million times but, in the end he looked like an extremely gay elf thing with bad fashion sense. u.u;

Hurray. What was your point again? Anyway; in other news. I work as the lab aid for one of my school's computer labs. I sit in a separate room and watch all their screens from my computer to make sure they're not looking up how to make a bomb or porn or whatever.
