Chayse doesn't know italian so he just ignores that comment, beyond the fact that italien sounds pretty hot. (even though wendy can tell what it is due to 1337 spanish powers), "Just being 'slow on the uptake soemtimes' makes it more impressive, if that's the only problem, and you didn't learn it while you were young. Besides, I only speak english, so I'm pretty impressed by anyone who can speak more than one language."

Diego grins. "I speak a little bit of Spanish as well. My mother was Italian, and my Father Spanish, but my father is not longer with us, he left when I was young. I grew up with my mother, and so learned her language quite well." he says.

"My father left us, I was so young I don't remember a damn thing about him, although I assume he had this colour hair, since mom was a brunette. I don't speak any languages other than english, technically, but I can say just some words, like 'thank you', 'please', 'hello', 'goodbye', 'no', 'yes', 'i understand', and 'i don't understand' in about 7 languages other than english now." Chayse doesn't feel bad at all mentioning the fact that his father had left, since he never really knew him, and figures he was probably a jerk anyways.

"I am sorry that your father left as well. Fathers that abandon their responsibility are worthless." Diego muses. "I would imagine that your language knowledge comes from having to be different places for your job?"

"Yep. Fortunately I know english, and most places have or can easily get someone who speaks english. It saves a lot of effort knowing just those few words myself though. Everytime I go to a country I haven't been to before, I pick those up. I've never been to italy though... I did go to mexico though, so I can speak spanish."

"I think yours beats mine on that... but I don't have a set group of places I go every year either, so it's a bit more random." Chayse is quite happy now, since he managed to get the italian talking abuot something other than tennis (well, mostly at least).

"I almost never know where I am going next. I can't wait until I get a little higher up, and get a little bit more control on my schedule."

"You're very close, you know." Sethos points out.
"Well, just don't forget to enjoy where you are now." Chayse adds, wanting to be able to say something more useful, but not knowing anything about tennis.

"And I'll beat you, just like before. You're going to have to work hard to catch up to me, y'know." Ah, yes, the wonderful world of 'men'. Bragging and competing and such about everything.

Diego does the most mature thing imagineable. He sticks out his tongue.

Chayse giggles (a direct show of anti-masculinity?). It was funny watching those two try and one-up each other.
Sethos, "You see, you don't even have any arguments, so you have to resort to that."

Chayse would LOVE to comment about that, but he's also trying not to embarrass Diego like he did earlier, since he feels a little bad about that. He doesn't manage to stop himself from smirking at it though.
"I don't think Italian's are reknowned for their tongues, die."
