Ambrose solved Fiona's problem. Having finished the meal on his tray, he stood, given the ready-made excuse to take his leave. The women were still dealing with having just come to the island, and obviously knew eachother from long before their recent arrival. She would bear the same guilt he felt in bringing Angelina.
"Best of luck to the both of you, and I do mean that." He spoke evenly, his ears pinning back at Fiona's spiteful words, not entirely sure if they were partially directed at his own complacence. "And yes, it's complicated. No denying that. I hope you're able to find your peace." He gave them a small nod as he bussed his tray and padded out the door.
((Writing myself out :3 - I am leaving town for the weekend. T'was fun!))

"Fiona, I don't mean that.. your plans aren't worthless..." Angharad was suddenly tearingly guilty, that she seemed to have let her friend down. She barely acknowledged Ambrose's departure, a nod of a bowed head and a 'thankyou.'. But her eyes sought Fiona's. "It's complicated. Too complicated for me at the moment," and her voice was very small. "It doesn't mean I don't think you have the strength to sort it out..."
((Baibai Sabin. Thankyou for the RP! :3 ))

"Sort it out." She repeated slowly, thoughtfully, as if not entirely aware of the meaning of the phrase. Fiona had glanced up at Ambrose as he left, opened her mouth to respond, and shut it again. With her plate of food as good as invisible, she attempted to brighten her features for her friend's sake. That guilty voice of hers always tugged painfully at the red-head's heartstrings. "Hey, don't worry about it too much. Things'll get better. The sun'll come out-" she winked, but spared the cafeteria staff the misery that often followed exposure to her singing voice. Besides, she'd already used that joke once already, hadn't she? Damn.
((Thanks for the roleplay, Sabin. ^_^ Enjoy your weekend.))

NEW RP Rex wandered his way out of the cafeteria and slowly made his way towards his duplex. He wished that it could've been a bit... more like home, just that stupid call to the labs would hopefully make things all the better.
He examined the duplexes as usual, reading over the names on the doors once again. He'd grown to recognize several names, though more and more name plates began to appear on the duplex further down the way. Moreau had been busy taking lives.
Rex spotted two figures standing outside a duplex, one he didn't recognize, but another was the oh-too-familiar shade of green. "Amaaaayaaa!" He hollered, picking up to the jog so he could get to the lizard-girl he'd missed so much recently.

Amaya thought for a moment. "Theres the entertainment room. I've never been in there much, but I think they had a lot of different movies and videogames."
Though she was suddenly ripped from her train of thought as someone called her name. Green eyes scanned the area before she caught sight of the all too familiar man jogging towards her. "Rex!" Her somber expression turned right upside down, having missed the man she had grown so close to in such a short period.

Alec jumped as he heard the holler, glancing over in the direction of the approaching character with a bewildered expression. "Friend o' yours?" He churred to Amaya, scanning over his overall look.

Rex clashed with Amaya in a full clinging hug, squishing his cheeck upon her scaley head. "How have you been? I haven't seen you in ages." Rex's day just got a whole lot better.
Then Rex shifted his attention to the other man standing outside Amaya's duplex. "Well, you're new." Rex mumbled to himself, flashing a very toothy and fanged grin in the his direction. He extended a paw to shake the man's hand, "M'name's Rex."

"Yah!" The reptile squealed as she was lifted about and hugged. Grinning, she returned it enthusiastically. Wow, today was going very well. Hopefully it would stay that way.
"I've been alright, managing..." She trailed off and looked between the two, allowing them introductions.

Alec looked distracted, shuffling off to the side when the two happily embraced in case he'd get booted or something in the process. When Rex offered a paw, it took the teen a few moments for the gesture to register as he glanced between Amaya and this new scruffy male. "Oh!" His hand shot out to accept the shake, not being used to such formal greetings. A social exchange between guys in the town he grew up in usually consisted of a few head-nods and a couple of "Aye"'s.
"Alec." He responded, smirking at his observation. "Ye, newbie. Shoulda leaped off th' fookin choppah when a' had a chance." He laughed at this and pulled his hand away quick, stuffing them self-consciously into his short pockets.

Rex chuckled at Alec, crossing his arms tightly across his chest. At least this man seemed to be adjusting well, better than some of the others from what he could tell. "Helicopter? Well, at least you had that chance." A crooked grin creeped across Rex's lips, "I, uh, wasn't so lucky."
He stepped to the side and reached a claw around Amaya's waist protectively. "How long have you been here?"

Amaya fell to silence, allowing the two men to communicate. She allowed the older man to put his arm around her waist, for the third time that bad glad she wasn't able to blush. Though she still stayed in the middle off to the side, as to not make Alec feel awkward or uncomfortable since they obviously knew eachother better.
The man she had developed slight feelings for and the attractive guy she had just met standing on each side of her. Oh jeeze. Thankfully the iguana was good at burrying such thoughts and emotions.

Alec spared him the retelling of a bad story, learning quick that curiousity was sometimes best left unpersued. "A' couple o' days?" He answered, stepping back to lean against the wall of Amaya's duplex. "S'not that bad a' guess. A' think all this weird shite hasn't sunk into me head yet, y'know what a' mean?" He laughed again, wondering if his nervousness was turning out to be obvious.
The punk teen fell silent for the moment. He kept his hands in his pockets as he slumped his shoulders, creating a look more indicative of an uncertain young boy than a brash, rowdy exterior. He took the opportunity to stare at the couple, the slight tufts of golden fur on Rex a sharp contrast to the sleek scales on the hairless Amaya. His hands had been awkward too, feeling leathery to the touch. The teen felt awkward, to say the least, a mental battle raging between whether it was inpolite to stare or rude to constantly avert his eyes.

Rex rubbed Amaya's side affectionately before retracting his hand from the girl's green back. The pause in the conversation also gave Rex to size up the newcomer. Alec didn't appear as big as he had moments before, suddenly shrinking in size as he leaned against Amaya's duplex wall. He noticed Alec examinging the two of them as well. In an effort to make the obviously uncomfortable teen feel welcome, he continued the conversation where it dropped off suddenly.
"A few days? Well, uh, welcome to the ranks." Rex paused once more and rubbed his padded hand up and down his arm anxiously. "Things didn't really hit me until.. well, I reckon just before this happened." He swept his hands upward, motioning to the changes, tail flicking noticeably about behind him.

Amaya noticed his change in attitude once the lion man had come around. Knowing it well, she tried to bring up a subject that hopefully all of them could enjoy.
"Well, we were on our way to the entertainment room. You wanna tag along or did'ja just come from there?" She asked Rex, then glanced over at Alec.

Alec nodded mutely as he listened to Rex, looking intrigued and attentive but clearly not himself. It was bad enough being lectured by a furred woman, befriending a reptile, he wasn't sure he could deal with all the anomalies the island was throwing at him all at once. His mind was on a railway to one big trainwreck sooner or later. The normally outgoing teen was becoming more and more a speck in the chaotic bigger picture.
"D'they got ping pong?" He smirked, getting up off the wall, determined to make a good impression now. He would cling to any social interaction he could get.
