Yeah, so it's like the white bracket edit. Those first two rows ( going from the outside-in ) fight each other, then just gravitate inwards.
It just looks weird at a glance because it makes it look as though people start ahead off the bat, when in reality its still even.

themightyjello ...seems about right. @ Fox: Yeah, they did from time to time. Though Fish had to fight Tacitus like 3 rounds in a row. DOMINION DOMINION DOMINION. And all that guy's characters were a 10 on the broke-o-meter. Psychofish Not to be rude, Tac, you're a pretty cool guy OOC and all but... themightyjello FFA - Round 4 Bracket Semifinals Tacitus Nusradai [Tacitus] vs. [Rivven vs. Crimson Mist]Yusuke Urameshi [~Yusuke_Urameshii~] vs. Jonas Vexic [Jonas Vexic] [Trei vs. Shagrath] vs. Vahn Kyonuske [Vahn Kyonuske] Cziri the Lost [crzycziri] vs. Jyushin Lyger [S.Lyger] My thoughts are "OH ******** NO". I am not beating down God's left hand so I can go suffer through his right.

I... don't get it. Why do I see 4 boxes going directly into 4 boxes going directly into 4 boxes?
@ GTB1: My favorite part of that entire debacle was how Tiem advanced to round 5 before I stopped paying attention... without fighting anyone. The only round his opponent showed up was when he was fighting a Lovecraftian elder god and he won via ringout because he was trying to race it to the moon and lost.

That's what I was wondering, Jello, but I think I get it.
The two bottom rows are actually the first round match ups. The second round is actually the third row, and then from there it's fairly normal.
At least, that's what I'm hoping.
Otherwise I'm ******** lost.
But if I'm counting correctly, that means that the posted bracket is only 32 participants, not 64. Right?

It just looks weird at a glance because it makes it look as though people start ahead off the bat, when in reality its still even. I still don't get it. If row 1 (4 people) fights row 2 (4 people) to advance to row 3 (4 people) you're still starting the first round with 8 people in each bracket and you need 16. If it's row 1 (4 matches, 8 people) fighting row 2 (4 matches, 8 people) advancing into row 3 (4 matches, 8 people) advancing into row 4 (2 matches, 4 people) and then row 5 (1 match, 2 people) to row 6 (1 match, bracket finalists) to middle row (1 match, tournament finalists) then it makes sense. ...but that's still just a really weird way to do it. Because rows 1 and 2 sit there for 3 rounds before moving. You go through round 1 to determine the winners in rows 1 and 2, then pit those against each other to get to row 3. Which is the only way I can think of that bracket as including 64 people.

This is what I see with it maybe needing to be spread out more to account for more people. The angry guy got beat by the smiley guy so now the smiley guy is moving on. If that isn't it, I'm hopelessly lost.

All I got from this was a reminder of how much of a tool Ertai is. I usually don't take Ertai seriously. To me, I think he's mega trolling and has been doing it successfully for years. So, I usually laugh when he says things. @Tenkai: You must learn history so you don't repeat the past.
