themightyjello Saphen THE HOST RUNNING AWAY WITH ALL OF OUR GOLDS WTF?!? Oh, Clash. That tournament setup was a horrible idea. Also Tacitus had like 26 characters and Gelmax had 14. Oh dear god that is true. 4 out of the 8 (or what ever) amount of finalists were his characters. Where did Tacitus go anyways?

Ecks X themightyjello X, you're counting wrong. You're starting from 1 and doubling it from there. Start from 64 and go down. 64 > 32 > 16 > 8 > 4 > 2 > 1 thanks.See? Pyramid. But yeah, if we were going with four divisions, then it'd be 16 people per division, 8 matches per division in round 1. Then by the time it hits the semi-finals, the winners of all 4 divisions would fight, but then it'd just mean that the winners of division 1 and 2 would fight, same with the winners of 3 and 4. If we're going to make divisions and name them, I'd suggest 1 and 2 have some sort of significance between them, like opposites.

The Favored Sin themightyjello Except the first one, which was like 216. And HORRIBLE....wut? The first GTB. It had 5 brackets, each allowing up to 128 people, and no limitations on characters or time limit for the fights. Or judging. People were just expected to fight until someone lost, with no restrictions on characters. I think it only drew about 40-60 people in each bracket and most people who entered did so with like half a dozen characters since they were allowed to do that. But still. It was a 200-some man tournament with no time limits. It ran for 2 years (and by ran, I mean ground to a screeching halt of corruption and complaining) before it was abandoned by the good people of this world and buried so deep that we hoped we would never have to look upon it again. We hoped wrong.

In order to clear up all the confusion, I've released the more appropriate ( and accurate ) bracket.

At least the tournament name and concept has been salvaged from the first year's disaster to become an annual event.

We hoped wrong. The honor system was the only thing holding it up. Ha! And yet, the tournament was like the amassing of the greatest egos in FFA, O/M, Commerce, and Barton Town ever. Anyone who didn't attend, just read the first 200 pages of this ooc to get a feel for how hilarious the interactions were.

...seems about right.
@ Fox: Yeah, they did from time to time. Though Fish had to fight Tacitus like 3 rounds in a row. DOMINION DOMINION DOMINION.
And all that guy's characters were a 10 on the broke-o-meter.
