With a smile, she sat up, stretching more a bit and conjuring two mugs of tea, one of which she offered to him. "If you would prefer water, please say so." she said kindly. Taking a drink of her own tea, she inhaled deeply before speaking.

"You are correct .. I admire and appreciate your strength. It is familiar to me, comforting even. As far in my memory as I may reach, it has been a part of my life to be strong myself, given the high expectations of everyone around me. Now, the expectations were not high in the sens of perfection, but because all were under the impression that I was so much older than I truly was. I hold no malice towards this fact .. I simply have needed to be strong enough to meet the expectations of everyone around me.

You are just as strong and stronger than I in ways. Though there are many in my life whom have confidence that I do not .. there are not many whom I can say with confidence are as strong or stronger than myself presently." she said softly, looking at her tea as she spoke.

Taking a long drink of the tea to clear his throat he listened intently smirking just so slightly when she finished speaking. Remarking first he couldn't resist "Not many as strong as you or stronger huh? We think you've been hanging around us too much woman. You're even starting to let your ego grow a little." he chuckled lightly, he was kidding...slightly. Ego was healthy to a point, confidence which is something she needed. An ego like his though was a bit extreme. "But thanks we suppose, for the compliments. Though, we already knew most of that." he replied with a grin, that was the type of ego she could probably avoid.

She blushed, looking away some. "I-I meant in all ways. There are some that are physically stronger only or have stronger magic only or are stronger willed only .. though you are one of the few whom are as strong or stronger in all." she said softly, looking to him with a small smile. "Since childhood, I have known few like that on any level .. it is .. very nice."

Yawgmoth shook his head back and forth and held a finger up. "That's not quite true." he corrected. "We are physically stronger than you, we are about equal in will power. But you've got us beat in magics by a long shot. We're not even close to your level. No one we know is. As usual you're short changing yourself. But trust us on this ok?" he requested kissing her forehead lightly taking another sip of the tea to wake up more.

Blushing a bit more deeply, she shown him a shy smile. "Yes, I will trust you on this." she said softly, again sighing softly a moment later, smiling as her mind seemed to be drifting off. "Thinking of my first memory with Master .."

"Really now, you were just speaking of your childhood yet we know so little about it. Only about your origins. Nothing exact. Care to enlighten us a little more? You know everything about us, forwards and backwards and have seen the memories multiple times. It's our turn to get inside your head a little hmm? Only fair." he replied laying back down resting his hands behind his head looking up to her to with a pleasant grin waiting.

"Knowing my origin helps this memory to make much more sense to me. My first memory begins with me lying on their porch." she said softly, smiling a bit.

"I was clothed in a shirt that was much too big for me .. I know not where it came from but it was very dirty. I had been frolicking about the yard until I could no longer. There on the front porch, I was very cold all night, sleeping there as I could not go on. As I had not eaten at all that day nor the day before, I had no energy to explore, though I desperately wished I had.

When the sun was high, they returned to find me lying there sleeping. I woke at the sound of their approach and forced myself to stand. It was completely illogical to them that there would be a young child on their porch .. there were no villages for many miles in any direction .. they considered taking me to the nearest and leaving me in the care of any family who would take me, but I spoke, saying that I should stay.

Mind you, my words were clear but I had not the thoughts to make full sentences and describe the entire situation. I pointed at myself, saying 'stay' until they understood. I could understand everything they said, I just could not form the replies. They took me to the river to wash off and gave me a fresh shirt to wear for the night.

Though I did not ask, they knew I was hungry. It was then that they realized I was different, that I did not know what normal young children should know. After he brought me inside, he said I should sit, so I did in on the spot I stood, just a few feet in from the door. Usually even small children of that age would know to sit in a chair like a proper person .." she said softly, looking to him with a shy smile, taking a moment to sip more tea.

"When he finished cooking, he had to show me how to sit on the chair, for which I was grateful .. it was much more comfortable than the floor. Staring at the food he brought, I was going to use my hands, but he said to use the fork instead .. to which I did not know how to use. I observed him eating, but I could not hold the utensil as he had. I was so distressed that the tears began falling, but I ignored them and finally asked; 'Show please.' He showed an alternative way to eat, which I was very grateful for. Later, again, I needed instruction on how to drink. My hand was too small to hold the cup with just one hand .. it did not occur to me to use both hands." she said with a giggle, running her fingers through her hair nervously even at this memory.

"After that .. it was clear that I was tired, as I had slipped from my chair to the floor again rather .. unceremoniously .. before walking to the door. I looked to him, he looked to me, curious as to what I was doing while he was clearing the table. 'Out please.' I asked and he wondered why I would ask such a thing. 'Sleep .. out .. please.' I insisted, pointing to myself. He laughed .. which surprised me. I felt so foolish, again the tears began to flow but I did not understand why. When he asked why I was crying, it was a phrase he never expected .. 'I know not why the water flows.' to which he laughed a bit more and explained that I would be sleeping inside instead."

She looked to him with a smile, nodding her head. "I had never slept in a bed before. It was absolutely glorious, though I wish I had not needed to sleep alone. I was very upset and confused, but I clung to the pillow until I fell asleep." she said softly, taking another drink of tea. "And thus concludes my first memory."

After all that lullaby worked, but what he saw next did surprised him, she was petting him like a child needing comfort. Hastily he coughed several times, his cheeks reddened by her actions. He knew ziven companions were speacial but never thought one being motherly. He slowly parted though she, gave him his much needed rest there was something worrying him, aside from the embarassing position he was on at the moment*

Yawgmoth burst into laughter not to mock her but it was a cute story, she was as naive then as she was now he thought, more so, and it amused the hell out of him. Hugging her lightly he sighed trying not to laugh more. He apologized of course "We hah, we don't mean to laugh AT you. But it's kind of funny to think that you were as naive then as we often mocked you for being now. We just find it ironic. Please don't be offended." he said smiling to her. "You were a strange one from the first day it seems. No wonder we're so attracted to you. Normal women are just so....boring." he admitted softly. "This is partly because we aren't normal either but ehh who knows." he shrugged.

"We wished we remembered our childhood like that. We only know bits of it. We know we were found by two women in an alley between two buildings because they just so happened to be walking home that night and heard us crying." he said with a sigh. "We don't really remember much else though. Even those times we opened our thoughts to you, you should've seen the blanks. It goes from our being found, to school in the teen years. We don't remember anything about our childhood. We envy you for being able to remember and have it affect who you are. We know not if anything happened to make us what we are today, if anything shaped our being. It's a mystery really." he replied looking kind if disappointed but seemed to shrug it off and drink the last bit of tea down.

"Good morning, young man. Are you feeling better?" she asked with a smile. Having been moving his hair from his eyes and smoothing things over, she could see she had caused quite a stir for him. Still, she smiled brightly and awaited his answer.

Ziven blushed deeply at his comments, nodding her head a bit as he spoke. "I am unsure of whom should feel envious, honestly." she said softly, sipping tea again. "I was two days old that day. Dragons have a talent for retaining their memories from the day of birth. My memories and abilities to perform were .. different, disabled slightly even because I transformed to the humanoid form so quickly. I do not to this day understand why I transformed. Mother hates me too much to explain to me or to anyone else." she said softer yet, the look of disappointment clear on her face. Though, a moment later, she seemed quite cheerful again. "I would not be where I am nor who I am today had I not experience life this way. I am grateful."

Scoffing Yawgmoth turned his head away commenting "Parents are over rated anyway." it was aimed more towards her statement about her mother hating her too much to explain things. "According to the old god chained within us our parents were killed not two days after our birth. Our adoptive parents shunned us like the rest of those insects after we changed. We remember that...we remember a more painful experience. We remember coming to them first after we'd started our butchering of the Thran people. Covered in blood and tears we begged them for forgiveness. We told them we couldn't control it. That those people just attacked us and we reacted. But they tried to kill us there, we snapped again and murdered them too. They were just as filthy and corrupted as the others. They didn't love us. We were a burden to them, a burden they found in an alley." he said in a spiteful tone. "So if we were you." he said finally standing out of bed not wanting to lie there all day and talk about the past. "We would've killed your mother already we suppose. For her intolerance and harsh attitude. But, we're not you. No, you're not us because you had Brom. We were abandoned. We've discussed this before. For that, we're grateful that you had someone. That you didn't end up like us." he responded putting his shirt on. "Of course....maybe we would've hooked up a hell of a lot sooner if you were like us" he joked "It would've been fun for a little bit. But we think it would've grown boring quickly. This..what we've got now. Because we're so different in that way, we doubt we'll grow tired of this anytime soon if at all." he said reassuringly turning his head over his shoulder to smile in her direction.

"You are most welcome." she said with a kind smile. Arching a brow as his face turned red, she asked; "Are you unwell? Your face is red .." she said softly, putting her wrist on his forehead to check for fever.

She listened silently, sipping her tea politely and nodding her head from time to time. When he finished, she felt compelled to ask; "Mates are over rated at some point also, yes?"
PostPosted: Fri Oct 17, 2008 9:37 pm

Shaking his head back and forth he held a finger up in thought and lowered it looking towards her. "No. This is proven by well, us being us you could say. Mates implies that they have sex with one another. If sex was over rated we would've stopped chasing after it so hard eons ago don't you agree? Yet here we are, chasing you for it since you set foot here. And in a way, we still are. Just in a more civil manner rather than being a barbaric pig about it. Of course we obviously want more than that from you or wed've just had you and moved on ages ago yes?" he replied starting to button the sleeves and middle but stopped and just left it undone turning around to face her fully instead of just looking to her over the shoulder. "You may think it over rated, but those who haven't savored it yet often do. We firmly believe your mind will change." he said with a nod of his head.
