"Land Of Confusion"
[Originally by Genesis]
I must have dreamed a thousand dreams Been haunted by a million screams But I can hear the marching feet They're moving into the street
Now, did you read the news today? They say the danger has gone away But I can see the fire's still alight They're burning into the night
There's too many men, too many people Making too many problems And there's not much love to go around Can't you see this is a land of confusion?
This is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given Use them and let's start trying To make it a place worth living in
Oh, superman, where are you now? When everything's gone wrong somehow? The men of steel, these men of power Are losing control by the hour
This is the time, this is the place So we look for the future But there's not much love to go around Tell me why this is a land of confusion
This is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given Use them and let's start trying To make it a place worth living in
I remember long ago When the sun was shining And all the stars were bright all through the night In the wake of this madness, as I held you tight So long ago
I won't be coming home tonight My generation will put it right We're not just making promises That we know we'll never keep
There's too many men, too many people Making too many problems And there's not much love to go round Can't you see this is a land of confusion?
Now, this is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given Use them and let's start trying To make it a place worth fighting for
This is the world we live in And these are the names we're given Stand up and let's start showing Just where our lives are going to

Have you ever seen someone try to kill themselves.
I'm sorry, but I have to ask this question. It is haunting me right now.

Hmmm....yes infact. I had a friend named....for internet purposes, Beth. Beth decided her life was terrible, and decided to walk out into the local woods with a rope in her hands. To add more info, there is a large hunting stand high up made by the hunters a long time ago. It has the perfect little ledge area where to tie a rope to... A few of my friends and I saw Beth with this rope as she walked by, with a apparent....lifeless look in her eyes. We eventually decided to follow her through this forest. I told her to get back where we were, and she told me to F*** off. This threw me into a wild cussing fit. Anyway, when we caught up to her, she was already at the hunter stand. I immediately sprinted to her position, and basically tackled her to the ground. Eventually we talked her out of all this, and took her back to her house.
((Here's where it gets good.))
When we reached Beth's house, she suddenly ran in without the rope, and started telling her parents that we were about to lie our asses off. I walked up to the front door, rang the doorbell twice, and began to talk to her Mom. Eventually, we got to the point where she said this. No, I will not lie. This was her exact words. "Why did you take the rope from her?". I will remember those words for the rest of my life. This had me reply to her Mom "Your....a stupid b***h. You want your daughter to die?!" This cussing assault kept up for awhile, and I just eventually went back to my friend's house.
((The reason I told you this entire story is, simply because it just happened recently. I believe it is right to tell you the whole story because this kinda s**t isnt supposed to happen. Especially when the parent asks "Why did you take the rope from her?" I have now taken a vow to always try to stop this kind of s**t, even if it is someone I dont know.))
