Daniel nodded, although it felt like his throat had closed up. Smiling, he pointed to the note. 'Then so be it. I am glad that I told you. River-san, do not be afraid to hurt me.' it said. For whatever reason, his throat had swollen up, and when he opened his mouth, dead air came out. Of course.. Only a moment for his voice. That was how it would be, wasn't it?

"..No.." She said softly but not to the note her brow furrowed in sadness, She stared at him" No, no..Your voice, What happened?" she asked Reaching up to cup his face in her hands now, looking at him with narrowed eyes. "Is this my fault? I didnt...do something on accident did I?.." She asked again Ignoring the note running her hands over his neck with an angry expression her arm muscles tensing benith the sleves of her robe.

Daniel looked down at River and his lip could not help but quiver. He shook his head, eyes almost watering at the feeling in his throat. As River seemed so very concerned, it lessened, but... The change was inevitable. He shook his head again, slower, as his hair followed it in a gentle motion. His neck tingled at the sensation of her touch, and all Daniel wishe dto do was draw her in close, and never let go. But, instead, he just set his hand on her side. 'It's okay...'

Shaking her head she growled deeply in her throat. "That's not fair, It's not." She said darkly her fingers constrickting his neck just a bit before easing off of it to slide away, one hand cupping his cheek softly. " I like your voice, It's.." She scanned his face and gave a smile."I don't...know its not fair.." She said grunteing and leaning her head on his chest, her hand still on his face, she was very angry; it was emitting off of her clearly visable in her body language.

Daniel shook his head, but could not help but for his face to turn hot under her hand, and to her head on his chest. the hand on her side wrapped up to rub her back. Instead of waiting for his voice to be completely gone, he scratched out. "I will manage. I always.. have. I do not know what will make .. it. Return.." said the man very airily. When he'd gotten his voice back, late last night.. He'd also discovered something else. He was not just an adult of his twenties.. Daniel was hundreds of years old. There was a funny black marking on his leg, that was a an encode of numbers. Turns out, Daniel is not just human, after all. All very confusing.. But he was glad taht River was here now.

Her fingers tapped on his cheek softly before she sighed clutching onto his shirt tightly with one hand. the hand on his cheek sliding back to his neck, like she could some how change that he couldn't speak as well. "I need to be able to help this. I won't accept this sudden loss after the beautiful gain." She growled darkly at him but not really at him, more at herself; she was talking more of herself then his voice though. "What the heck is with this world?..." She murmured finally giving her throat a break from growling, her eyes narrowed.

Daniel shook his head, as his hands on her back tried to comfort her. It was not her fautl! She need not be so concerned of it. His voice chose when it came and went... Though, it'd only shown signs of coming back after he'd met River. "You cannot change..." Daniel spoke, voice like that of a dying old man. "What you feel. Only your heart can do that." He had meant metaphorically, of course... Since he had seen her heart once.. Even restarted it, too.

"Damn it, it's not fair!" She growled yet again, apparently not done with it. His hands felt like nothing on he rback, so she gripped his shirt tighter her other hand slowly falling, shaking her head against him. " why? why does this have to happen to you, hmm? does it deem fair to you?" She asked fianlly looking up in a fast movement, holding his face blinking her eyes confused, "Is it really me?"

"I don't know..." Daniel mouthed, words just a whisper of a voice. His smile was small, and his hands encompassed River. She was so much smaller than him... Yet wiser more by a hundred years.

River brushed her fingers over his lips softly and smiled weakly at him looking down before back at him. "Maybe I am just a crazy little experiment.." She said softly sighing to him looking around the room with a confused expression, slowly pulling away. "S-sorry..."

Though he did not want her to feel uncomfortable, Daniel refused to let go of River. he shook his head, with a smile, telling her not to be sorry. It was alright.. it really was. But, if she did not think so, Daniel would do eveyrthing in his power to get his voice back.

She blinked at him and sighed standing up a bit before sliding back down onto her knees, not really wanting to leave, it was warm, like the fire place was. Shaking her head softly she gazed down at the floor. "Daniel-sama, You feel these things for me, why? We've only just met, though you, I care for you but..." She patted his chest softly.

The kitty from last time jumped up on the bar and looked at River and Daniel. Then his eyes were on Daniel and his tail swished. He mewed and got up and walked on the counter mewing.

Daniel smiled brightly, with a laughing motion, and dry air. He could not explain these things! It just happened! But, he could not explain as to why he'd decided to tell her... POssibly for his fear of losing his voice over keeping it inside. He patted River's hand on his chest, and shook his head with a smile. He couldn't explain it, but, River really was something.

River linched harsly and growled darkly at the sudden sound. Not really enjoying spys nor did she really want to talk in front of a creature. Shaking her head she lurched back, " Daniel, I'm sorry but I really Can't feel like that..." she said her eyes landing on the cat with question, though she still felt horrible he was Allergic to the furry animals.
Silent jumped up and blinked with a rush of energy looking around. " Oh, oh dear! what was that noise!" She said covering her mouth looking around, her mohawk flopping to the left on her head, wringing her hands watching River and Daniel, sure she didn't know the mute man well, but he could be killed or worse! She took a deep breath and smiled at the small cat.
