[Noelle ~ The Black Pearl ~ Deck]

The agromancer was startled by Dawn's sudden outburst, jumping back and looking at her with a dumbfounded look. At first she didn't really comprehend what she had said, but once it sank in she didn't really know what to say.

"Uhhhh . . ." was all that came out at first. Noelle didn't know if screaming was a good idea for her. Sure, she'd scream into her pillow if she was frustrated or emotional, but that didn't always end well for her. She wasn't comfortable with letting things out nearly as much as she was keeping them in. It was the way she was, she just had a horrible time expressing certain things. It was the cliche, moody teanager thing--but as an older sister taking care of two little girls as an eleven and twelve year old during a divorce it was something she developed unknowingly. The cold, never-feeling-sadness front was her way of telling them that things were okay. It was all she could do to pack it in and smile.

"It's okay, daddy will call tomorrow so he can arrange to come see you . . ."
"I know daddy didn't call, something must have come up, hmm? . . ."
"You're daddy loves you, and you know he does. He and mommy are just having a hard time right now. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you . . ."
"I know you miss daddy, but pushing kids down at school isn't the way to express that. Come here and tell me all about it . . ."
"Please Mandi, you don't have to cry, mommy just wants you to get dressed . . . I know daddy had a special way of doing it, but can't you do it that special way yourself? Here, tell me how to do it the special way . . ."

Noelle blinked and was beginning to shake her head, "Uhh, I don't know if I . . . oh, to hell with it. Why not."

[Dawn : Black Pearl : Above Deck]

"Alright!" Dawn said as she looked off the side of the ship, "On the count of three..... One.... Two.... THREE!"

After the countdown, Dawn let out a scream at the top of her lungs. It was loud enough that the all of those on deck should of been able to her. Dawn didn't care if all of those on the deck was staring her. She was tense and needed a release.

[Noelle ~ The Black Pearl ~ Upper Deck]

The blonde turned towards the open ocean as Dawn began her count-down. Her heart leapt as she reached three, and Noelle began to bellow a scream of her own. It wasn't like oned of those high-pitched screams of surprise. Instead it was more middle ranged and frustrated sounding. Noelle held it out, gripping the ship's railing hard enough to make her knuckles go white. She stood on her toes and leaned towards the ocean, trying to let it all out. The scream seemed to grow in intensity, even as she was running out of breath, becoming more and more angry. Her entire body was tensed, giving her the physical appearance of being ready to kick something as hard as she could. But as her breath left, and her scream ended, so did all appearances of her strength. She sank, remaining in place for a short moment. Then, unable to maintain her composure, she crossed her arms and bent to rest them on the ship's railing, burying her face in them. Though no sound came from her, her shoulders began to shake as she cried.

Damnit . . . I knew I shouldn't have done that. I always start crying.

[Dawn : Black Pearl : Above Deck]

Dawn knew she felt much after she screamed. She had finally let out some of the pressure that had been building up. Last thing she wanted was to be a tea kettle and exploded everywhere. She had a half grin on her face as she soon started to turn to look at Noelle. The smile soon faded as she saw the girl's shoulders shaking.

"You okay?" Dawn asked she placed her hand on the girl's shoulder. Before Noelle could answer she knew that she couldn't be. Without waiting for a reply Dawn slowly wrapped her arms around the girl, "I am sorry."

She held the girl protectively as if she were holding her own younger sister, to give her a friendly shoulder to cry on.

"Let it out," she whispered, "It is okay sweetie."

[Anthony ~.~ The Black Pearl ~.~ Main Deck]

"Unless one of you spontaneously finds the talent to use darkness like me,
I won't get any help from anyone here on the boat. So don't get your hopes up yet."

"...finds the talent to use darkness like me..."

"...use darkness..."

"...darkness..."

Louis' words kept repeating in Anthony's head as he leaned over the railing and stared at the vast ocean before him, getting lost in the orange and red colors reflecting off the waters from the setting sun. He's been standing in the same spot ever since Louis walked off... thinking... wondering... Riku did it, why can't he? Would he go as far as to accept the darkness in his heart for a stranger who he only spoke with for no more than a few minutes? No... it was something more than that...

The young man glanced over his shoulder, the first sign of movement since had walked over to the railing, and stared at Michelle... He could see the grief in her features, which caused his eyes to shy away before he turned and stared out into the ocean again. ...something more... It would be in his character to go against his nature for the sake of others... wouldn't it?

This kind of thinking was dangerous, and luckily Anthony's thoughts were interrupted by two very loud screams from behind him. It was Dawn and Noelle. He smiled, wishing he could scream, too... but he'd just feel silly. The young man placed his hands in his pockets and walked towards the two young ladies. He noticed Noelle's shoulders shaking and watched as Dawn wrapped her arms around the blond to comfort her. Things really have been getting progressively worse...

"What's wrong?" Anthony asked, his voice cracking at first. "Anything I could do to help?"

[Noelle ~ The Black Pearl ~ Upper Deck]

Noelle felt Dawn's touch and had the momentary impulse to pull away. When she got upset she usually like to distance herself and be left alone, but Dawn couldn't have known that, so Noelle accepted her embrace. She sniffled and tried to stop the tears but they kept coming. She just kept telling herself that letting her guard down was a bad idea, and the sooner she sucked it up she could move on. But it seemed hard to regain her composure while she was being comforted. Her heart seemed to tell her quit trying to block me out, damnit!. After a while she calmed a bit but stayed quiet. She heard Anthony come near and cringed. She didn't like to draw attention when she was crying--she always felt embarrassed.

Finally she said to Dawn, voice muffled by the fabric of her shirt, "Thanks Dawn . . ."

[Dawn : Black Pearl : Upper Deck]

[Cue : My Wish]

Dawn pat Noelle on the head gently as she let the girl let out her tears. She didn't say much as she let the girl let her tears out. Dawn recalled the night before holding and calming Jenny's tears on the train. As she did then, she wished she could do more to help Noelle. Not just Noelle, but others that she was traveling with. Even if she was weak. There must be something she could do.

Dawn looked up at Anthony when he came over. She gave the best smile she could, but it escaped her. Along with her words, even after she heard Noelle speak, she could only nod.

"I think screaming let out more than frustration for some of us," Dawn said in a soft voice to the young man, "I think we will be alright." She looked down at the girl with worried eyes, letting her arms loosen around the girl, just in case she wished to pull away.

[Anthony ~.~ The Black Pearl ~.~ Main Deck --> Lower Deck]

Anthony smiled and nodded at Dawn. He figured the tessen-wielder had the situation covered. "Alright," he said, before turning towards the entrance to the lower deck. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask." With that, he walked off and began his descent below deck.

"...finds the talent to use darkness like me..."
"...use darkness..."

"...darkness..."

The warrior-knight's feet never felt heavier as he slowly walked through the halls of the lower deck. Even the hallways seemed elongated and malformed, but Anthony just passed it off as his nausea returning to him. It wasn't long after the young man spotted Louis resting against the hull of the ship. He was hesitant at first, but he managed to call out the other's name. "Louis...," he said softly, not wanting to startle the individual. "Louis. Shipwreck Cove is within sight. We'll be there soon."

[Amy : Hawaii : Beach]

Amy found herself leaning against a palm tree, staring out at the most beautiful sunset. The entire world seemed grand. It had been hours, but she had had a bit–being small didn't help–and the pleasant buzz had not entirely faded.

"Oh, I have been to Ludlow fair..."

And left my necktie God knows where,
And carried half way home, or near,
Pints and quarts of Ludlow beer:
Then the world seemed none so bad–

It really was a beautiful pre-sunset sunset. Ajora and Azrael were still around. Amy's gaze took in each of them respectively. Ajora, in beach attire, back exposed, revealing those curious symbols. All this time and he hadn't done anything remotely threatening. Azrael, in his somewhat secluded corner, was still playing Hojo.

Cloud was leaning against a tree as well, a short distance off, as he had been an hour ago, and she wondered if he had ever moved at all.

((It's kinda hard to describe what people are doing and what they look like when they haven't posted yet, hehe. If Az is doing something else, lemme know, same for Ajora. XD))

[Noelle ~ The Black Pearl ~ Upper Deck]

As soon as she felt calm enough, Noelle looked up from her arms and sighed, shifting her weight onto her elbows resting on the ship's railing. She hardly gave Dawn a glance and resumed staring off into the distance, letting the cool sea air dry her face. Her expression had returned to that troubled scowl as she thought about upcoming events. After everything, she felt about ready to throw in the towel. But there was too much riding on her, on their success as a group, for her to cash in now.

Finally, Noelle cleared her throat. "Hey Dawn. I know you're really good friends with James. Like family, probably. But when we get on our way . . . just don't do anything you'll live to regret. The first piece of advice I ever gave James was 'use your head, not your heart.' And I'm giving the same to you. Make it a promise. Not to me, or anyone else, but to yourself. Say 'I will not do anything stupid. I have too many people who care about me.' . . . Got it?"

The agromancer gave Dawn a stern look to match her tone. It seemed that Dawn was good natured, but guided by emotion. In a situation like this they couldn't have any more of that--there was far too much on the line.

[Michelle : Black Pearl : Above Deck]

At some point in the last few hours Dawn had gotten up and moved around, Michelle had woken up only enough to drag herself back over to the bench she'd been sitting on before and lay down on it, face to the sky. It would have been more comfortable to sleep below in a hammock or something but she knew that the confined space, and the intensified sensation of rocking, let alone swinging, would be anything but conducive to sleep.

As the sun sunk lower in the sky Michelle jerked awake with a start falling off the bench with and "Oughffff" and then scrambling to her feet her heart racing trying to process what had woken her. As it came back to her, the sound of yelling, Dawn's yelling, she looked for her sister and noticed the two girls at the rail. Before she had time to get too worried she picked up on the postures, and drawing closer the conversation, relaxing once she understood no one was being assaulted again.

Michelle had a frustrating history with panic attacks and while she knew in her mind that everything was relatively okay there was still a tight knot in her chest from the abrupt wake up call. When Dawn stepped back from Noelle she decided that maybe her sister did deserve to be tortured, just a little bit. A mischievous grin forming on her face she came up behind Dawn and began to tickle her. Dawn's reaction was classic and hilarious and she broke down giggling and laughing herself, feeling a true release of all the tension and sadness for the first time since she'd arrived on the ship. She stopped her attack fairly quickly backing up a couple steps ready to run if Dawn sought retribution or retaliation. She was smiling, truly smiling and it felt great.

'I'll never understand why someone who is very ticklish herself insists on starting a tickle war with others.' He summon's tone was amused more than anything else so her reply was in fun rather than defensive.

Because at least with Dawn I can win.

[ Elleon .:. Delia ~ Narnia ~ The Stone Table]

Three Hours Earlier . . .

Elleon held the scepter out towards the taller woman for her to re-claim. The Queen's long fingers reached out for it, but were denied by the Replica's swift wrist flick, pulling up the wand to leave it out of her grasp. A look of disappointment and restrained annoyance appeared on her icy features.

"What happens if I don't give it back?" Elleon asked with a smile.

Jadis looked at her with impatience, "Well then I can't very well do much, now can I? I'll be of no use to either of us."

The Replica smirked, "I highly doubt that. Now come on, what happens if I don't give it back?"

"I'll make a new one." Jadis spat after a pause. Her hand latched around her wand greedily as it was placed back in her reach. The atmosphere seemed to darken slightly, a frigid touch coming to the air.

"Clever witch . . ." The Replica mused offhandedly. "Now then, I'm glad to be in business with you. Ready to hear my recommendations? Leave Narnia."

A slight look of shock came across Jadis' thin features. "You've just restored me to power! Isn't that what you wanted? I am forever indebted to you, so this kingdom shall be yours! How can you want me to leave? To where will I go? Surely you don't want such pitiful lands as Archenland or that miserable plot claimed by the Telmarines."

"My dear Jadis," The blonde began, "A lot has happened since your slumber. There are lands far beyond and far greater than Narnia. All of them are simply ready for the taking. However, that doesn't mean we want you to tell the world you're back. Keep on the down low for a while. Stay quiet, stay hidden, wait it out until you've gained as much power as you can. You'll claim what's yours when the time comes. Got it?"

Jadis nodded graciously, though was still trying to piece things together. Lands she didn't know about? Things were certainly getting interesting. She waited for more, but Elleon seemed to be waiting on something herself. She was looking around and tapping her foot.

"Where is that girl? I swear, schedules mean nothing to her--"

"Don't get your granny panties in a twist, I'm right here." Came the voice of young sounding girl from behind Jadis. When the Ice Queen laid eyes on her she didn't quite understand. Where did a six-year-old have place in any of this? At least she looked like a six-year-old. She wore a black top and pants, matching the color of her long, glossy hair. Most everything was normal about her except for the dull, unamused look in her eyes. She was certainly the most bored little kid Jadis had ever seen--not that she came across humans often.

"Tch, there you are. I was just about to send out a search party. Delia, come here and meet Auntie Jadis. Would you like to be her little helper?"

Delia went and stood next to Elleon with her hands on her hips. ". . . Nothing would please me more." She said flatly.

"Good, so long as you're excited."

"Are you being facetious?"

"I could ask the same of you. So did you find it?"

Delia rolled her eyes and pulled something from her pocket before handing it to the Replica. "Yeah-yeah. Your memory sure does suck y'know? It took me forever to find. How long ago did you say you read about this thing? Fifty years?"

"Quit your whining, the important part is that you found it. And for the record, I didn't read about it, it was blondie whats-'er-face."

Jadis nearly gasped when she saw what was passed from Delia to Elleon. "My stone--"

"Correction. My stone knife. I'll be hanging onto this. Delia, you take care of Auntie Jadis now, I have some errands to run."

Delia waved Elleon away and smirked, "Yeah, babe. Leave it to me."

Once the Replica had taken her exit through a dark portal, Delia looked up at the White Witch with disinterest. "You're lookin' for a new caslte, right? You ever heard of a place called Notre Dame?"

[Elleon ~ Underworld]

The Replica walked the corridors of the Underworld like she knew them like the back of her hand. She was whistling something that lacked any real tune out of being bored. The Underworld was definitely an awful place. When she reached the doors to Hades' throne room she kicked them three times to knock.

"Honey, I'm hooooome." She called through them.

[Dawn : Black Pearl : Above Deck]

Dawn glanced over at Anthony as he departed, before she looked back at at Noelle as she pulled away. She joined the girl in looking over the at the sea. She closed her eyes as she let the wind from the sunset moved over her face and hair. One thing about a gentle breeze, it had the power of calming the most tense situations. At least for her.

Her eyes blinked open upon hearing Noelle's voice, her eyes looked over the girl, her eyes searching hers. She had no second guesses that Noelle was serious in her request. Dawn had no outward response to the request. She had always been one to follow her heart. She relayed her emotions to guide her in more ways then one. Though she would be the first to admit that she had suffered much because she didn't use her logic and her head, but she knew that at the same time it had helped her as well.

Dawn let her eyes fall as she shook her head, "I can't... AHH!" Dawn started to respond but was cut off by the sudden attack of her sides that caused her to squeal and fall to her knees. She remained on the ground, breathless for several moments before she looked to find that her attacker was none other than Michelle.

"What did I do to deserve that?!" Dawn demanded to know.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 08, 2011 9:55 pm

[Michelle : Black Pearl : Above Deck]

"Hmmmm..." Michelle drew out the sound and arranged her face like she had to think about it really hard, and then with a huge grin said, "Since when have I needed a reason to tickle YOU." Simmering down she answered more seriously, "I was asleep on that bench when someone I know nearly gave me a heart attack. I thought that since you're the one who woke me up screaming that it was only fair I use your weak point to help relieve that panic in my chest. Wouldn't you say sis." Michelle held out her hand offering to help Dawn back to her feet, and the look on her face was such a mix of teasing and genuine affection that hopefully Dawn wouldn't decided to be miffed for to long.
