Kitty glances once over at Virgil wondering why he was so uneasy. If he was innocent everything should be fine. Right? She sat down across from Bigby.

Kitty took a deep breath.
"Sure okay. I headed here about early afternoonish to help get some drinks together for the party. I worked some before Remy came in. I had an issue to speak with him about and all chaos broke loose. He stormed off with a bottle of something or other and I was left to do damage control with the customers and then I realized where he was planning on going. He wanted to talk to Wally about my 'insubordance' as his bartender. After finishing with cleaning up, I forgot the bottles I was going to bring to the party figuring I could come back for them. I ran as fast as I could through anything that was in my way to get to Wally and Linda's. After taking a drink for Linda we sat and talked for a bit before Remy and the other guests started to show up. And that's what happened."
She took a long sip from her glass.

So. You were out of breath and disheveled running over to the Wests because you tought you were going to be late? Then please, explain why Mrs. West says you arrived nearly an hour early.

"So I lied to Linda. I told her I thought I was late but I really wanted to beat Remy there so I could talk to Wally first. And I figured she wouldn't want to hear about such a 'petty' arguement, which Remy and I resolved afterwards. So it really was petty and pointless."

So you and the boss have the same argument every boss and employer in history has ever had. You lose your cool, say something you shouldn't. LeBeau gets hot enough under the collar that you figure he's off to get you banned for good.
According to your statement, then, you headed over to the Wests to plead your case before LeBeau ratted you out, but got the Mrs. instead of the Mr when you arrived. Interesting scenario. Let me amend it a little bit.
How about, after LeBeau stomps off, you run over to the Wests as fast as you can, and phase in to see Mrs. West heading up the stairs to check on her husband. As she knocks on the door, you slip in through the wall. Finding West either uninterested in your story, or siding with LeBeau in the matter, you get agitated, and proceed with the stabbing. You already said you lost your cool once in the day, why not twice?
Seeing what you've done, you panic and decide to build yourself an alibi, so you phase back outside and reenter through the front door, concocting the story you gave Mrs. West about thinking you were late.
