[Gothic_Lolita] I'll do it.
I'll even stab you in the neck with an arrow on our wedding night, just to make it authentic. Take pictures and I'll bake you cookies. My cookies are really good. White leather good. If I were ever to do a geek wedding (this assumes I would ever get married), I would probably go for an 8-bit designer wedding and not a specific geekery wedding. I'm not into the idea of cosplaying for an entire wedding, especially since it'd be pretty difficult to do comfortably. I am not above a geeky cake though. Hell, I'm not even above it now, and I don't need a wedding to do it.

Some advice for Mac users who have not yet installed Leopard and are considering it: don't, it sucks.
I've been spending about a week now dealing with the evil machinations of this OS, which doesn't support Epson drivers in any meaningful way. Not only can we no longer upload the drivers for this printer that we want, the drivers it does let us use don't support: custom margins, custom paper sizes, centering on a page. You know, the three basic things that any ******** printer can do. We are now in the process of trying to roll back to the previous operating system on one of the computers if only so that we can use the fancy expensive printer that we print all the DC paper on. Sometimes a Fancy Schamncy Upgrade is just not worth it.

My daughter, 'Rora, is turning four on next Friday! heart heart
Her birthday party is this Saturday, tomorrow. We're going to the pool, yet none of the kiddies know how to swim. It should be interesting to say the least.... Man, how the time flies by.
My mother picked the location and set it up and invited everyone before I could blink or say anything. But what the heck.. She always fronts for the parties anyway. Might as well let her have a blast with it.
We're hand making a game called "Pin the boots on Boots the Monkey"! It looks really awesome so far. I'm sure 'Rora will go nuts when she sees a fully painted Boots the Monkey that's almost as tall as she is.There is even bowling with fluff balls and pins. rofl
Imagine my surprise when I suddenly had to find a swimsuit after they've been on sale for the past month. The ones that still matched were as much as I pay for gas in a month. I was finally able to find both in a reasonable price and in my size after searching for weeks. That wasn't neon pink at least. eek I'm kind of hoping the wrap will hide the fact that they don't match. ninja

Yet if you still have doubts, you can simply make a copy of the bookmarks folder just to be sure.

Don't you hate it when you have a problem with someone at work, and even when you are in the right in every way, you still end up being the jackass in the end.
My job is that I manage the equipment at a hospital. We had a lot of patients this day, and a lot of them are using this device called a SCD (for get what it stands for) But it's a pump that helps patients who can't walk around, circulate the blood in their legs to prevent blood clots from forming. But we were out of this device, all we had where the last few left for emergency uses. Such as for the Labor and Delivery area.
So two nurses called saying they needed SCDs. But we had none. I did remember in this area called PACU (where patients go after Surgery for a few hours). They have 8 beds, each one with a SCD. and I have never seen all the beds being used at once. So I figured I could just take two and bring two back when I finally got two in. But this nurse there, would not let me take them, because she is saying they belong to only PACU (which is a lie, they belong to the hospital) Not only that, but she claimed each SCD is calibrated differently based on the bed. So the one in bed 16 can not just go to bed 14, because it's a different Calibration. Also a pile of B.S. since SCDs only have 3 buttons, On/off, A(right Leg) B(left Leg). You can not change the way they pump. And this lady is working on my last nerve. And it doesn't help that the two nurses called like 20 min ago, and I should have had it 10 min ago.
So I'm trying to remain calm, but this lady will not let it go. So my voice is going a little high, and I'm trying to take deep breaths. But it's not working. Finally After so long she finally let me have the SCDs. I clean them off and get ready to take them up to the room, only to find out the room next door was done with there SCD. so I just clean that one off and give it to room that needed one. Then just give pacu back there SCD that could "only work with bed (#) ".
So of coarse, the Pacu director calls my Boss about me, and I get the talking to as the one who was in the wrong. Which really pissed me off, because to me, patients needs come first. s**t head nurses who don't know what they are talking about, come last.
God I can't wait for the day I quit that job.

Back from Fan Expo. Had its ups and its downs. Ironically, I ended up doing most of my buying from the booth my LCS had set up. They had just picked up a massive amount of back issues, and had everything 50% off. Got some comics signed and met some creators. Got a real nice Nick Fury sketch from Kalman Andrasofszky, though the eye-patch is on the wrong side because he'd never drawn Fury before and neither of us were entirely sure on which side it was. Saturday was a bit of a bummer, though. I've got a laundry list of problems with Hobbystar, the company that runs the con, but it all came to a head then. See, the guest of honor was Bruce Campbell. I can count on one hand the amount of people I'd pay $35 for an autograph for, but anyone who knows me knows Campbell makes that list. I stood in line for 2 hours, missing 2 signings with comic creators I wanted to meet, before I was informed that the line had been capped, and I was now in line for the next signing, some 3 and a half hours from then and that if I left, my spot was up for grabs. Predictably, me and the 300-odd people behind me were pissed, and one of the staff members who wasn't a complete douchebag (there weren't many) took some initiative. They numbered our autograph tickets, and told us that if we came to the next signing we were guaranteed a spot in line. So I left, did my thing, went to Campbell's Q&A (which I thoroughly enjoyed. The man is extremely funny.) and came back when the time came. Ended up waiting in line for another 2 hours, but I did get the autograph. So, all-in-all, I ended up spending 4 hours in line due to Hobbystar's piss poor organization skills. Worth it? Maybe. But unnecessary. Eh. ******** 'em. Maybe I'll just skip the Fan Expo next year and go to the newly-christened Wizard World Toronto.

SAC ANIME!!
It wasn't great. There was hot... and hot and just crowds and crowds.. But there were so many cute thingies. I bought some things for cosplay and a few posters. There was SOOO many people there though it was craziness. I found some friends and we hung out.
It was pretty cool, though. I meet the voice actors, Paul Mercier (Leon Kennedy degeneration, RE4 ), Alison Court (Jubilee and Claire Redfield), Roger Criag Smith (Chris Redfield: RE5) and Karen Dyer (Sheva Alomar). So autographs biggrin
Hmmm Other then that No real big updates. I bought some trades for 5 dollars and that was pretty cool. Hellboy, Black Widow, some OLDDD avengers stuff.
COULD have lived without it though.
