xp her birthday's next month, the holiday she's talking about is the Fourth of July celebration which states side gets a lot more fireworks then new years... or maybe that's just local to this part of California.
And technically my birthday's on a holiday xp I just get one that only matters to cemeteries anymore. I suppose every now and then it fell on graduation day >.> which I know is more celebrated then flag day rofl

Fourth of July aka Independence Day is a holiday celebrating the day the US declared it's independence. Now days it's usually celebrated by the big family family get togethers, use of fireworks, often involving a BBQ, etc etc.
Flag day was back on the fourteenth of June, it celebrates the day the nation established a national flag. Individuals don't exactly celebrate it, well aside from the state of Pennsylvania. More or less some people who go out of their way to put a flag up for the week at their home for the holiday. I've only really noticed Cemeteries around here following it, though they go out of their way with how many flags they usually put up. Though most people over here don't know what Flag Day is or when it is anyway, lol
