Dhyl barely felt Rem's steal, which would have been bad. He turned and followed after her, but not before hearing his sister's heartbreaking cry. He wanted to tell her that he was okay, but couldn't. His ribs were barely letting him breathe, let alone yell. Instead he flashed her a small thumbs up, before turning to follow Remy. He hoped to steal, but was unsure how easy that would be.

Romy was so close now. As he did, his right arm slipped forward on his broom, then he slid himself forward, extending his reach. Maybe... maybe he stood a chance? Maybe she'd sneeze and miss... or something.... He felt bad even thinking that, but he knew he had to win. He had to win for Her. For Anna.

Romy watched in a sort of trance as Ariana grabbed the Snitch. Tears filled his eyes, threatening to fall, but he held back. "G-good j-job, Ariana." He gave her an awkward sort of bow, then slowly sank toward the ground. Once he had landed in a bit of mud, the teen sighed. He pushed his goggles off, replacing them with his glasses. Soon, drops of water covered them, but not all of it was rain. Maybe he should quit. All he was able to do was fail. No wonder Anna didn't like him... He pushed open the gate, then headed for the castle doors. Maybe he'd go sit under his shower beam and melt. Could he do that? Just melt and wash down the drain?

Steele Thompson III

Hufflepuff|5th year|Muggle-Born|Ariana Hawthorne

Why must I be judged upon the purity of my blood?

Steele watched as Dhylan lost the ball almost halfway down the field. Steele readied himself, thinking he would see another shot. But Ari was up there with her hand out. He wanted to watch, but he had to make sure his head was in the game. That's when he heard it. All he heard was the fans going crazy, but not the Gryffindor ones the Hufflepuff. He looked up in disbelief as he found his girlfriend holding up the snitch. SHe did it! He quickly raised his hands, sort of waving to the crowd and then flying down to his girlfriend. He hoped to catch Romy and tell him that he had indeed done a good job, but the boy floated away in tears. Why? Steele may have gotten mad about losing, but he's never cried. It made him wonder why he was so emotional at this point. But he never knew the circumstances.

Once he got up to Ari, he kissed her on the lips, embracing her. He was so proud of her. He had stopped a shot, but she had done the thing all the players want to do in their times and that was catch the snitch. He couldn't have been happier to clean sheet Gryffindor as well, if that was the term for it.

"You did great beautiful," he said to her, still smiling

Ariana enclosed the palm of her hand on the snitch. It took her a minute to realize what happened. When the crowd cheered and the game was called, the redhead realized that the golden snitch was in her hand! When she landed, a very upset looking Romy congratulated her. Right in front of her, the boy sank down onto the ground. "Romy, don't be sad," she pleaded, walking over to him to help him up. Once the boy was up on his feet again, he turned and headed straight for the castle. Just then, Steele approached her from behind, spun her around in an embrace, and kissed her. The redhead played her wet hands on her boyfriend's cheeks and kissed him back. "So did you," she said, smiling brightly.

Ⓡⓔⓜⓨ looked up. It was over. Their curse continued. She wanted to scream in anger when she saw Ari holding the Snitch, but her anger bubbled over when she watched her brother walk off the Pitch. The Captain flew to the ground, then reached in her pocket. She grabbed a Healing Potion, which she always had on her person, and quaffed it. Next, she walked to Cam. With her Wandless skill, she case Rennervate to wake him up. She held out a healing potion, waiting for him to take it.

Cameron slowly came to his senses. The boy was lying down on his stomach in the muddy grass. When he rolled over, Remy was standing over him. She looked completely and utterly pissed, and the fact that she looked so huge at the moment wasn't helping her seem any less intimidating. Cameron sat up on his butt and stared at the potion in front of him for a moment before chugging it. He avoided eye contact with his captain, knowing that he failed this game. "So, I'm guessing you want me off the team now, huh," he mumbled. It came out almost inaudibly. Maybe last year, Remy knew this would be how he would have played. Maybe it was a good thing he didn't make the team during his first year, or last year, and it might have been better if he didn't make it this year, either. He had to stop being a cocky, egotistic Gryffindor boy, and instead, learn to live with the fact that maybe, there were better beaters in his house. Instead of getting up to storm off to the castle as he would expect himself to do, Cameron stayed seated in the pouring rain, waiting for Remy to give him the answer he did not want to hear.

Steele smiled when she returned the notion. He was so happy for her, but they had to get out of this rain soon. "Here we should get going soon. Get out of this rain," he said to her, keeping her in his embrace under the rain. It really was almost a dream come true. It almost was like a movie scene. That's when he released, going over to Remy and Cam.

"Good game Remy. Hell of a shot that was. It sucks knowing I've got to worry about you getting the Quaffle back all the time though," he said to her, hoping for a handshake when she was done with Cam, but he looked down at the kid, looking like he was just about out for the count. "Hope you feel better kid."

Ⓡⓔⓜⓨ looked over at Steele, congratulating her. "Yea. Next time you'll miss." Her voice had a tone of finality. She looked away from him, then back to Cam. The younger Gryffindor looked upset. When her wolfish ears picked up his words, she knew why. The Captain plopped beside him in the mud, splashing it on both of them. Her expression changed, turning from anger to a soft, motherly one. "No, Cam, I'm not." Her voice was gentle, almost guilty. "You did really good up there. Sure, you ended up down here, but you still managed to hit the smarmy git. From the sound of it, you broke a couple ribs. That's something I couldn't do. I want you clean and ready for the next game, okay? C'mon. Let's head to the Common Room. We both need to bathe." She stood, then offered her left hand, still not trusting her right.

Cameron's eyes stayed narrowed onto the ground when Steele walked up to them. Although he drank a potion, there was still some kind of sharp pain in his chest. The boy did his best to ignore it. When the Hufflepuff said he hoped he felt better, Cam rolled his eyes. Yeah, whatever, he thought, but he didn't say it. Suddenly, Remy dropped down next to him, sending mud in all directions. When the captain said she didn't want to kick him off the team, Cameron looked at her. His expression hinted at confusion, relief, and bewilderment. "You wh-what?" he asked, astonished by the sixth year's response. It took Cameron a moment to let Remy's words sink in. Once they did, a grin appeared on his lips, and he took her hand as she helped him up. "Thanks, Remy," he said, walking back towards the school with her.

Dhyl didn't have time to smile once Ari caught the Snitch. He knew he wouldn't have much time to do anything once his adrenaline wore off. He flew to the goals, then enveloped his younger sister in a gentle hug. "Good game, Mouse." His voice was raspy, but he expected it. Minn, however, did not. She squeaked and asked if he was okay. After he claimed he was, the two landed. Minn went to skip off the field, then noticed Dhyl walking the other way. Blue eyes locked on their target, then his feet followed. "Congrats Heather! You did great!" He offered her a smile, then a side-hug of utmost awkwardness. After Heather, he walked to Ariana.... and Steele. Congrats Ariana! We couldn't have won without our star Seeker!" He hugged her as well, then walked away, not acknowledging Steele in the least. When he returned to his sister's side, the two held hands and left the Pitch.

Ariana nodded when Steele told her to get out of the rain. "I'll see you later," she told him before planting another kiss on his cheek. The redhead let go of his arms and turned to walk off towards the school. That was when Dhylan approached the couple. Another smile stretched across her lips when the boy congratulated her. "Thanks, Dhyl! You did great out there," she told him before hugging the dark haired boy. Ariana stalked off towards the castle, water dripping from her clothes.

Why must I be judged upon the purity of my blood?

Oh the things he could've said at the point. In reality, he saved one of her better shots and she knew it. What was the score in the end. 150-0. That zero probably annoyed her knowing she took a shot. And her answer almost amused him. Talk about sportsmanship. Steele just chuckled when Remy resulted to that. He chuckled And remembered Dhylan walking away, not saying a word. The truth his, Steele saved Dhylan's mistake. He lost the Quaffle more than once. He truthfully did not understand what the boy's problem with him was. He had not done anything to him. Steele was a good keeper. Better than their back ups, that was easy to tell. So he could just take his bitter attitude and go back to the common room, cause Steele saved him this time. And with that thought he walked back over and caught up to Ari

"I'm going with you. Tired of some of these over confident chasers who don't know when someone can outdo them," he said to her.He was truthfully agitated. This was the start of his rivalry. Rivalry with that girl over there, talking to Cam.
