"This is delicious!" replied Courage already attacking the second plate. He stopped when Lily didn't reply or even glared. "ARe you alright?" he asked concerned.
Lily sighed to herself before tucking her hair behind an ear. "Courage, do you remember what day it is today?" she asked quietly before anger fueled her at his ridiculous answers.
Courage tried to think of any holiday that was coming up. It wasn't Valentine's Day or even Christmas but what other day could be important. "Your birthday?" he asked before getting hit in the face by an orange from the fruit basket on the table. "My birthday?" Another orange followed.

"Dear me, have I been forgotten?" Nikolai frowned from behind Courage. "No matter, deary, I needed to lose weight anyways." he chuckled then looked at Lily, wondering what day it could be.

Zora's gaze shot up as she sensed a familiar presence was close. "Shadow's coming." she said in delight before she realized that the others around her wouldn't exactly be so pleased with his visit.
Skye tensed at what Zora said and she growled in annoyance. "Great. That's exactly what we need right now." she said sarcastically.
Jordna was holding Dannie in her lap when she heard the others. She looked around quickly with fear in her eyes. "You don't think he'll try to start something, do you?" she asked the little teddy bear in her arms. "Well if he does, just let me at him! I'll show him who he's messing with!" said Dannie as he growled.

Avia smiled lightly to herself, "I bet I will." She replied, almost giggling. But she hadn't really laughed in a long time.

Courage almost choked in surprise. "Dude! Haven't you heard of the saying first come first serve?" He took up a napkin and wiped his mouth with it before picking up the two empty plates and heading to the kitchen. He then dropped them in the sink before grabbing another plate and scooping out some of Lily's most delicious cooking. "We don't tolerate anyone who's anorexic in this house!" He dropped the plate for Nikolai on the table.
Lily sighed with her head on a hand. "We were supposed to look for the treasure tonight," she replied. It wasn't as if she wanted to go treasure hunting with the baka but then again, he had promised her. "Did you forget?"

Nikolai raised an eyebrow at the food and put a spoonfull in his mouth. "My, my! This is quite scrumptous, darling!" he smiled while saying his lie. He had lost the ability to taste long ago, but no one had to find out now.
Shadow smiled and walked up to Zora. "I've made a new friend." he smiled softly and moved to the side so she could see Avia. He glared at everyone else before looking back at Zora.

Zora grinned at Shadow and she waved slightly at the girl that Shadow had introduced. "Hello there Avia. I see you've been a victim of our dear friend Nikolai. Such an odd one isn't he?" she teased before she playfully pouted at Shadow. "As for you, what took you so long? You know I don't like it when you keep me waiting." she said as she pretended to be angry with him.
Giselle flinched in Zora's lap before she shot up to see Shadow. Her eyes were wide with fear and she cringed behind Zora.
Skye simply stayed quiet as she watched Shadow carefully. Though she glanced at Avia every once in a while, wondering if she was on his side.
Jordna stayed frozen in place with a wriggling Dannie in her arms as she watched Shadow carefully. She soon made her way over to her sister.

Courage chuckled nervously. "O-Of course not. How can I forget that?" Lily's glare saw right through him. "I-I'll get the map!" He soon headed to his room for the old paper.
Lily blushed a bit, "Oh um thanks." She tucked her hair behind an ear, perhaps she needed another hair cut? She ignored the sound of Courage breaking something in the house.

"You love it, admitt it." Shadow chuckled at Zora then smiled at Avia. "That is Zora, a friend." he said then gave a sideways glare to everyone else. "Everyone else is not to be trusted." he said softly.
"Treasure?" Nikolai purred. "But Lily, my dear, I'm staring at quite the treasure right now." he grinned, his lime green eyes locked on her face.

Zora sighed and stood up, knowing this moment was going to come at some point. She looked at Avia and smiled softly. "Actually, everyone here is to be trusted." she said, avoiding Shadow's gaze.

"But I'm not shiny," scolded Lily. "When Courage was cleaning out the attic, he found this map of the forest near this house that had an 'X' on it which has to be treasure, right? "
Courage held the map in his hand as he waltzed into the room once more. Sure he had broken the vase by the door and a small clay sculpture of a badly deformed tree but he had found it. "Look it's right here! Ready for the adventure?"

"You've quite a lot in common with your dear brother than I thought." Nikolai grinned then looked at Courage. "Speak of the dashing devil." he purred then heard him. "Mmm, I might join you." he pondered.

Avia blinked in surprise, "You...Know my name?" Nikolai is strange...for sure. She added in her head. She turned to the others, quirking an eyebrow. "They look fine to me." She said simply. "They look friendly enough."

"I'm nothing like him," replied Lily stubbornly before aiming her famous "are you a baka" stare at Nikolai. She picked up her plate and headed to the kitchen to drop it off.
Courage placed the aged paper on the table happily. "It's great that you're on board fellow pirate!" he laughed before scratching the back of his head thoughtfully. "Do you think we should dress up for this trip?" A spoon soon hit him in the back with great accuracy. Lily's "We look just fine, baka" stare was in full force.
