Well there's your reason, where's the millions of other people's reasons?

1. In the bathroom you can look in the mirror while taking your photo thus making sure it looks okay.

2. Most bathrooms are rather small with a light close to the mirror. So you can take decent pictures without the flash that way.

personally i do it, cause i like to take "weird" pics xd
