Yue nodded at that, it looked like things were settled, they were on their way to figuring out who these people were, and Elnara would get visitors in the future. It all looked good.
Though there would be no end of trouble for back home as other things were brewing, specfically in the castle portal. Where, to the 'persuation' of Lin, she had gotten Nina's help to go through the portal door. The little girl who packed her favourite things along with 'provisions' so she would find her Daddy. She had been pouty that her Daddy left her alone, so she was going to find him. The resourceful Second had used Nina, the ever eager kirin to help her reach the door to open it. Hence they were now wandering in the maze, with Lin riding Nina.

Gion was glad, too.
But first, of course, we have to put this journey behind us, right? he signed to Nadya.
He paused to think about that idea, then blinked his thoughts away and smiled. Best to leave the business for the morning. For now, rest for the weary.
He turned to Elrohir. And are you coming with us? he questioned, fingers flickering curiously. Or will you be heading back to the castle?

Elrohir rubbed at the back of his neck self-consciously. He couldn't go along, and he knew it might make him apear unwilling to help - which was far from the case.
"Nako's forbidden me," he replied in embarrassment. "I have to go back to the castle when you leave for your journey."

Nadya nodded at Gion, then glanced at their guests. "How long are you able to stay here?" she asked in her soft voice. "I know you wish to return as soon as possible - but how long in your time would it be in our time?"
Her eyes lost their focus as her mind retreated partially to her inner eye so that she could see and pay attention to the conversation at the same time - though that was more a recipe for failing at both, if past experience was any indication.

Earendil was bored. Fourteen years old now, he was growing close to being an adult - but not so close that he had more freedom than a child. What he thought wasn't fair was that Tinuviel, who was only nine years old, had been able to sneak away with Daeron - granted, Daeron at least had had permission - to go visit their distant relatives in the Borderlands, as well as their Nako. A letter had arrived that morning from Ulani and Ulrich, informing the boys of their grandmother's return, and despite Ruel's vehement refusals to let any of them visit, Luthien had given Daeron her permission, and Tinuviel had sneaked along.
Well, he figured, someone had to cover for her until they were far enough away to discourage any pursuit. And he knew exactly how she had gotten out of the castle undetected.
Too bad he couldn't do the same.
As it was, he had decided to spend the afternoon in the labyrinth. He knew the catacombs as well as he knew the rest of the castle - and why not? After all, he had spent most of his childhood playing in them, and he had known them inside out by the time he was two years old. And now here he was - fourteen years old, six foot three (granted, he did still have time to grow), and quite different from how he had appeared as a child. His hair, blacker than night, was as long as any woman's - down to his waist, longer when wet - and kept loose. His facial features had thinned as he had grown, and there were some who would describe him as angular. His physique of course was the biggest change - and not only in height. Like his brother and his missing uncle, who he barely remembered now, he had spent his entire life in training, fighting and building up his strength and speed. Like any elf, he was skilled in tracking, stealth, hiding ... and just about anything else.
Still, today it benefited him nothing.
He sighed and continued his wandering. He had always been envious of Daeron and his visits with their grandmother, but even now he didn't expect things to change.

"To be honest we have no clue," Triton replied, "I know two weeks our time.. that is..." he coughed remembering the convert at the last minute, "Fourteen days is roughly one year here. So..." he tried to figure it out himself...
He only cared for math so much.

"We'll be pushing it once we reach the twenty five day mark," Donovan supplied for Triton, "That, is though just a guess, but about twenty-five days per day, it's probably less than that."
Since he simply guessed the amount of days in a year, it was probably less than twenty-five days though.

Which meant, Yue thought silently they probably won't get back for two days or more, he couldn't imagine this trip being able to be undertaken in that short amount of time.
"Are you sure you know where we are going?" Lin inquired looking down at the kirin she was riding.
She had also asked Nina because Nina had been here before, since she was sure her big brother Yukito would simply refuse to let her go. However Nina was just sniffing around, because truth be told the Kirin didn't know where she was going.
'I'm sure!" Nina replied, "Tap tap tap... I think there should be a wall somewhere..."
"There are walls all around us though."

Nadya closed her eyes and lost herself completely to her visions once she had that information safely tucked away.
"The space of eighty days," she murmured, almost in a whisper, "will take us to the end of the next month ..."
She directed her thoughts - or tried to anyways - towards the men who tormented her future mother-in-law so. They were everywhere ...
"So many," she sighed, opening her eyes. She looked at Donovan. "This task will not be accomplished with one trip. They are spread throughout the Four Lands. However, if it is the man behind it all that you want, then your time limit should be feasable."
Should, of course, being the key word. But with her along to help them, it was more than possible: it was probable.

Earendil blinked, his thoughts coming to an abrupt halt, and he pressed himself instinctively against the wall. Voices - did he hear voices? Perhaps ... though it was rare to have anyone down here at all - at least, anyone who belonged.
He withdrew into the shadows and palmed one of the small throwing knives he kept hidden at his waist, and waited for the owners of the voices to appear. As an added precaution, he surrounded himself with his magic, making himself - literally - disappear.
Invisible and knowing the labyrinth the way he did, traps and all, he definitely had the advantage over anyone dangerous who might be lurking around.

"Just give me the leader," Donovan replied grimly, "Screw the time limit, even if there is a lot of people spread about, get rid of the leader and it'll take them quite a while to sort it out, and if it's organized crime the next leader might not find it worth his profit to torment Serenity. Though just in case we'll try to give an incentive that it's not profitable."
Even if the person tried there was no promise the next person could lead just as well, if they were spread out over, it would take quite a while.
"Besides, I'll be back," he raised a brow, "I have very well good permission to have this as my hunting grounds now."

"Tap tap tap...." Nina called out despite the fact it would do her no good the way she was doing it.
Though she didn't know that to be honest, all Nina knew was that it was somewhere this way.
Lin laid upon Nina as she rode thinking she had in hindsight forgot one thing... a muzzle. She looked around listening for anything that might be down there, after all it looked abandoned, there might be rats for her to fight.

"Even if we get their leader," Nadya pointed out, "it will take time for news of his death to reach down the ranks and out through the land. It would be a long time before the rest of them even consider stopping what they're doing. And even then, many of them will continue on. Whether it is because that is what they like to do, or if they think they can make it profitable for themselves, or if they simply know no other way of life, they will continue."
Though she was glad, secretly, that he would be able to come back. She only hoped he would come soon enough, considering the considerable time difference between the two worlds.

EƤrendil waited in the shadows as the voices drew nearer - and as they came into his view, his eyes widened in disbelief. His magic fell away and he stood, hidden only by his skill and the shadows, watching as something he had long ago passed off into his memory as a dream drew near him, a tiny human child on its back.
He had been so young when the kirin had first visited - he scarcely remembered her. His father had done his best to remove those memories from the boy's mind, but seeing the kirin again, hearing her voice, listening to her nonsense ... it brought it all back.
He returned his knife to his waist and stepped out from the shadows, right in front of the two.
"Nina?"

"Okay...." Donovan drummed his fingers on the table.
This wasn't going to be easy, stupid snail mail... wait... their mail must be slower... stupid so-slow-snail-mail-it-might-as-well-go-backwards.
"We can't go tracking all over the country side, and it isn't even the idea of getting them to stop," he explained to Nadya, "These people work in huge fricken groups, they shouldn't be unless they're specifically trained to do so, which under normal circumstances that is a no. It's really having nothing to do with getting them to stop, but to distrupt them so they can't get their act together. I'm not expecting them to stop that would be too much to ask for."
Why did everyone think he was looking for the best possibile outcome? He was not an oppomistic dammit, of course they weren't going to stop it suggested they had brains.
"Besides, they are tracking Serenity because of good organization," he added as an after thought, "People aren't normally that smart... anyhow, the next best possible... temporary solution is to just simply kill and leave a few survivors to any group we happen to run across on our way there."
