Then it came back, woot! whee
Anywho, I'm pretty satisfied with the way things turned out. I do agree with everyone else on the point that Hedwig's death was a little tacked on. It almost felt to me like she had to get rid of Hedwig to make the conclusion of the chase scene work. I think Lupin's death made perfect sense, the Marauders all died in the fight against Voldemort. Agreed though on the point of Lupin deserving a death scene, he was just too awesome to not be granted that. The Twins gave me quite a few lulz during this book, especially the "I knew Ginny was lying about the tattoo" part. I laughed a lot at that. Finally, Snape... Oh, Snape. I was so afraid that all of the speculation about him and Dumbledore having a plan would turn out false. I really did not want him to go out as the badguy, but I knew as soon as he gave Harry his memories that all would be well.
This may actually be the only book of the series that I have a strong desire to see the film adaptation of. heart

Peppermint Elf I thought the Twins' line of "We look alike!" when they used the Polyjuice Potion was pretty ******** hilarious. I rofl'd. lol
AndI never doubted Snape for a minute. cool heart That's my man.

I like the arts!!
Looking back, I find it interesting that there are very few flashbacks in the series (minus the pensieve stuff).

About Snapesnogger.. I didn't realize until I looked her up on Encyclopedia Dramatica, but I stumbled on her pregnant naga boys years ago. Like, either before or during the very early days of the AS. Fortunately I seem not to have been traumatized.. sweatdrop

As for the hares, I'd kind of been wondering if you would do a one-eared hare. xd And quietly giggling to myself at the thought. Ghost-hare... Yeah, that would probably be a bit on the spoilery side. ...Maybe do them last when more people have had a chance to finish? ...And...hide them under a spoiler warning? gonk I dunno.
But for all that I didn't really care for the twins, I would so buy a one-ear and ghost hare set. ninja

I finished the book. Like Mala, I've always loved Snape. I'm so glad he turned out be a good guy! I didn't see how he could really be evil. His reason for protecting Harry came as a total shock to me, though. I didn't see that coming at all!
I'm also disappointed that Harry's eyes didn't come into it. Rowling has said that Harry having his mother's eyes was very important but it turns out that Dumbledore just used them to taunt Snape with.
I always expected Voldemort's death to be horribly anti-climactic - and it was. xd
I almost threw the book away in disgust when Hedwig died. War isn't pretty, people don't act rationally, and we can't choose who dies and who lives in life. But did she really have to illustrate this with Hedwig!?
On the subject of Fred's death...I'm not too sure Harry was really impacted all that much. After everything he'd been through, all the adrenaline and shock would have kept him isolated from the grief. Then he escaped into the Pensieve and had a whole new mess to deal with.
There was one thing I missed. Where was Harry putting the Elder Wand? He said he was putting it back where it came from but where the heck was that? xd
OMFG, it didn't register that Aberforth's patronus was a goat! lol

He said he was putting it back where it came from but where the heck was that? xd Starts here ---> Dumbledore was the master/owner of the Elder wand after he defeated Grindelwald. When Dumbledore died, he was entombed with the wand. Voldemort broke into Dumbledore's tomb to steal the Elder wand from him. After Harry became the master/owner of the wand and defeated Voldemort, he told Ron and Dumbledore's portrait that he was gonna put the wand back in tomb with Dumbledore! 3nodding
