1. Nicole but you can also refer to me as Lolita. 2. Beginner. Its been a while since I took a Japanese class when I was younger. 3. I prefer to be contacted on Gaia. I get lots of mail coming into my mailing accounts, so it would be harder to get feedback from me. If thats doesn't work out well I also respond to messaging on yahoo, aim, and msn. 4. Well, I live on the East Coast in Georgia. I'm normally on at night and sometimes early in the morning. I work and go to school also, so I try to get on the computer.

1. Tayumi, you can call me Tayu or Tayy. 2. Beginner. 3. Either Gaia or MSN is fine. 4. During the week, I tend to be on Gaia from 8-10 Standard Eastern Time(-5), and the time I'm on MSN varies. On the weekends and holidays, the times really vary, but I usually tend to be on at night no matter what.
Also, I'd just like to say that at the moment I'm more interested in Romaji than I am typical Japanese writing. For now I'd like to learn how to speak the language, and then learn how to write it later. PM me if you'd like to teach me. c:

Name: I prefer Kaleigh. Level: Beginner redface sweatdrop Form of Contact: Gaia IM or email would be preferable sweatdrop Times: I'm on randomly. Usually, Wednesdays are best for me because I can finish school work easily. Also, Fridays and Saturdays. (Sometimes Sundays sweatdrop ) As for specific times, I don't really have any. Wednesdays will usually be from 3- 5:30 EDT. Fridays, I'll be on at about 2:30 EDT. However, Fridays I won't be on very long until December at the least, January at the latest. Saturdays (and occasionally Sundays) I'll be on anywhere from 8am EDT- all day. It depends on when I wake up and when people start yelling at me to get off. (I'm sorry about the times being in Eastern Standard/daylight time. I don't know how to transpose them into Pacific Standard Time.)
Note: I put myself as a beginner because I started to teach myself using a Nintendo DS game, but I don't feel as if I'm getting all the instruction I could be. I have learned hiragana and a little bit of katakana. I don't know all katakana and I haven't begun to study kanji. I can study Japanese romaji and easily memorize the lyrics and, if supplied, the translations. (I have done this for part of Melissa by Porno Graffiti, Link, Ready, Steady, Go and Heaven by L'arc en Ciel, and Change the World by V-6.) ((I can also take those romaji lyrics and copy them into... Well, mostly hiragana, and a little katakana.)) I know a little about the culture, but if possible, I would also like to learn a lot more.(that is, if my sensei knows any culture. sweatdrop )
I say I can write in hirigana and a little katakana, but what I mean is: "I wrote down the characters and the Latin letters they stand for from my DS game and use that as a dictionary/reference chart." I can recognize the characters, but I can't read/write it fluently. I don't even have an entire reference chart for the katakana and absolutely nothing for the kanji. So, like I've said, all I really know is vocabulary. (and not even a lot of that.)

1. Asuka (i.e. Sephiroth912) 2. Introductory/beginner level (somewhat midway) 3. Instant Messenger would probably be best. Have AIM, MSN, Yahoo, IMVU. Gaia IM does not work on my computer. 4. I'm around (unless I'm working) pretty much whenever but might be in class or doing work for said class. I still have internet in school so as long as given pre-arranged time so I'm prepared, I'll be alright with whatever. 5. 3 sir! 6. Learning resources on hand for consulting, homework, grading, etc: Genki (and workbooks. Have PDF answer key for potential teacher) both I and II, Japanese the Manga Way, Remembering the Kanji, Rosetta Stone.
Can also set up to go to IRC room if preferred. Send me a PM, I want someone that can really help me focus and challenge me because I have trouble with this when it comes to self-study. ありがとうございます (have kana writing tool with so-so kanji capabilities) ^^

1. On Gaia, call me Corialos (pronounced Cor-ee-al-ohs), Cori, or Zack.
2. I don't know very much Japanese, maybe a few words, as well as most of the first verse of a song.
3. I'd prefer private Gaia or E-mail messaging, as I rarely use IM. If you'd rather use e-mail, the address you can contact me at is either zackmack9@yahoo.com, or corialos@gmail.com.
4. I'm usually online after school as much as possible, and on the days when I am off. Usually I'll let you know ahead of time when I'm unable to be present for a lesson, but I'm usually pretty reliable, so you have nothing to worry about. I live in Arizona, so I live by Pacific Standard Time, without the problem of Daylight Savings Time.
If you're interested, please contact me either by PM, or through one of the e-mail addresses listed above.

1: Name, Pheonix. ((Deliberatly misspelled to be a proper name.)) 2:Level: Probably best to go with introductory. 3:Contact. Gaia pm. 4:Availability: No way to tell, I get on Gaia Randomly. Hopefully will get on more often since I now have nothing else to do.
I'm looking for a sensei thats a little laid back and is willing to teach an infrequently appearing student. Despite having Rossetta Stone for about 6 months, I only have about 5 pages worth of translated words written down, and I haven't even memorized all of them. I've learned to read Hiragana pretty well, but I'm still working on Katakana. (I haven't even started Kanji yet.) My Imoto, (little sister) occasionally teaches me some new words, but she seems to have very little interest in making any effort to teach me Japanese. I think I'll do better with a Sensei that can explain things to me, and won't avoid particules or kanji because "thats really hard." So, any takers on that?
