::When Franki finally reaches practice, she finds everyone leaving. after asking around, she learns that practice has been cancelled due to the coach's wife giving birth last night. with a sigh and a shrug, she straps on her rollerblades, which she hadn't had time to put on when she left the house, and heads out to Li's. she had long ago learned that her rollerblading brought back good memories for her friend and teacher, though she didn't know why exactly nor had she ever asked. he was such a secretive person that she had quickly learned better than ask personal questions. she rather that he share what he wanted when he wanted anyway. due to his attachment to the memories brought up when he saw her skating, she made a point of rollerblading to his house everytime she went. when she finally reached his home, she took off her blades and let herself into his house, having come so often it was more like a home to her than her own house. as she did, she set her bag and blades down by the door and called out:: Mister Li? i'm early, hope you don't mind....

Li was in the living room reading a book, trying to figure out a way to beat La Mort when Franki came in. His once cold eyes gave some warmth to Franki as he looked up from his book to greet her. "No, no Franki it's alright." he said, his tone less serious and cold. He put down his book onto the coffee table, closing it. "Now how are you doing and are you practicing? Remember inorder for you to acheieve your goal you have to work very hard at it." he explained.

Glory had a sweat drop over her head as Fai began to ruffel his feather but began to pet him to calm him down. "Hey, hey Fai I'm sure Kishi didn't mean it. Now calm down please." She said kindly then turned to Kishi. "Excuse me Kishi but I do like Fai's chirping and I don't think he looks unkept but please don't say things like that. Besides I am his master and no need to pity me for it. And if you haev a problem with it then please say so now, because I don't like the way your treating everyone here. Sorry if I rude but I don't like it when someone treats others with no respect." she said calmly.

Remmy sighed. "You aren't being rude Glory, this featherhead is just very critical. We'll have to learn not to mind him. And, Kishi, you need to remember that Sakura arranged for them to go to teenagers because adults wouldn't believe. She also arranged it the way she did so that we would HAVE to work together. We all have underlying magic or the cards wouldn't have chosen us. We can use it to defeat La Mort, but only if we work together. Sakura's plan was ingenius, weaving it so that we had to work together. She must have been a very intelligent woman. Of course, Sakura had no clue who the cards would actually fall to. She put alot of faith into the cards to choose wisely." she said, calming down as she thought about the previous master of their cards. Before that the cards had been called Clow, not Sakura, after their creator. All but two cards, created by Sakura herself. Remmy knew that they needed to be able to get along with each other, not only the captors but their guardians.

Fai once again calmed down as his master petted his feathers. "Don't let Kishi worry you my mistress, he is, as Remmy says, very critical of others. Even if you WERE adults he would claim you had no way of understanding your power. He's the one Sakura designed to keep after us and make sure the captors power grew." he whispered to Glory, the speech calming him down as well as explaining Kishi to Glory. He was sure Remmy already knew this as it seemed Pyralis had been with her for quite a while.

Remmy nodded in agreement with Kisha, though she sighed. "I suppose you're right, he would know the most about them and more importantly, how to capture them. Pyralis could only explain so much and I know it's the same with the rest of the guardians. They weren't created too long before Sakura's death." she said, sighing sadly. She obviously hadn't known Sakura but she knew there had been many people who had loved her and the way Pyralis used to talk of her Remmy was sure Sakura had been a wonderful person. She was however wondering why Li hadn't thought that they were captors, as Pyralis had pointed out the night before. It was odd but maybe, just maybe, Li didn't know as much as they thought he did. He probably knew almost everything about the cards but what about the two new ones Sakura'd created? And what if he truly didn't know the the true purpose of the guardians? It was a possibility that she normally wouldn't have considered but, the way he acted at the park made it seem like he really didn't know. Although he had been very angry at the time due to the fact that the 'children', and she winced as she knew she was the youngest, had the cards. But their names were on them now, Remmy could see, so there was no taking them back. The future did not seem very sure. I hope we won't have to argue with Li too horribly long, I have fencing practice. And then I have to practice my Tae Kwon Do. she thought, sighing. "Knew I should have practiced yesterday." she muttered.

::Franki hesitates in mid stretch then eases out of the position and perches on the back of the couch:: you'll think i'm being girly or overdramatic ::softly as she starts picking absently at her nails:: but i think i'm either being recruited into a cult or going insane....

::guessing at what's behind the worry in Li's voice, she laughs:: relax, teach. i'm not gonna fall for anything so stupid as a cult... but i guess if you really wanna know, it'll take awhile. might as well sit ::she waits until he does so then, taking a deep breath, begins:: i met a boy last night, he was really beaten up but he wouldn't tell me who he was fighting so i couldn't really do anything about it. i guess he was glad someone was showing some intrest or something, cuz he offered to help me look for Uberto's dog. you remeber him? Dec, the mutt, the one that's always taking off and getting into trouble for fun. anyway, we'd been looking for Dec for a bit when i heard him barking. he'd knocked down a girl, Glory, trying to get to her bird. she actually seems normal enough, i met her earlirer today. well, i leashed Dec and was about to go home when i saw that Ran, the boy, he looked like he'd seen a ghost. he took off running, and i followed ::she shrugs:: dunno why, just did. anway, i found him in an ally, he'd fallen and looked like he was in a lot of pain. when i tried to help him, he grabbed my arm, i still have the bruises. boy's got a good grip ::she nods approvingly:: i didn't want to break his hand, cuz it didn't really hurt that much, so i just hit him.... his one eye had been going all creepy and purple but when i hit him it stopped and went back to normal. and THEN the other girl that was with Glory came up and did... something, i don't know what, and all of a sudden Ran was tied up with ropes, get this, made of fire! by now i'm thinking i was drugged or just way too tired to be seeing things right. and when the girl, she said her name was Remmy, when the salamander that was on her shoulder turned into a guy, i knew something was wrong with me. anyway, she said something about a card, asking me if i'd found it. i had, earilier that evening. found it on the ground. i figured one of my brothers might know what game it went to, you know? anyway, i still had it so i tossed it to her and asked her to let Ran go... but when i looked back at him, his eye was going that creepy purple again. well, hitting him once worked, right? so i hit him agian... i think Remmy did something to and the combo of what we did knocked him out. anyway, one thing lead to another and i ended up carrying Ran to my house. not like i could leave him passed out in the street, right? since Remmy followed and it was late, i offer to let her have my room for the night. she kept spouting off something about cards having magical something or other, guardians, evil, yadda yadda yadda ::she waves her hand around as she says this last:: typical cult stuff, right? anyway, i put some ice on Ran's face and left him on the couch then gave Remmy my room.... this morning i had to get to practice real fast, didn't know it was canceled, but i'm pretty sure my bros would have huslted both of them outta there quick enough. i don't think i'll ever seen them agian, but i seriously need to rethink my sleeping habits cuz either i was drugged, hallucinating all that, or i'm going totally insane and none of it ever happened.... ::she watches him a bit nervously as she waits for his reaction to her story::

::she had followed him, confused. when the wall disappeared to reveal a secret passage, she had nearly dropped in her tracks. what the heck? she'd always known there was more to Li than he showed anyone... was she about to find out? and what did he mean, danger? she believed him when he told her it was all real. he had no reason to lie to her and she trusted him immensely. but.... danger? what was going on?! she took a step past him when he stopped and looked around the room:: weird.... what's going on, teach? ::Li would probably feel a bit relieved, at least he wouldn't have to train Franki too much. he'd been unwittingly doing just that since he met her, simply because she was interested in learning everything he knew. of course, she knew nothing of the cards or magic::
