Remmy glanced over at what she was doing. He'd learned that his concentrated look often let him learn more about people than talking to them, usually because they thought he wasn't paying much attention to them. It was interesting how it worked out.

::idly taps the pencil against her mouth as she studies the scene outside the window, then starts to add a broken down car in her drawing. It's a slightly depressing view, she's amplified the sad state of the flowerbed, and has made the stairway look broken down, unsafe. Her face as she draws is akin to the picture, slightly sad, and she chews her lip, her meal all but forgotten::

Remmy looked at the drawing intently as well. He quickly finished his meal and washed his plate, drying it and putting at up. He stood behind her but then put one hand on her shoulder gently. "Why such a sad face to match such a sad picture?"

::jumps a mile. she still isn't used to having someone else in the apartment with her, and turns slightly sheepishly:: Was I making a face? ::frowns slightly, looking back at the picture:: I didn't realize it. But sometimes to get what I'm trying to capture, I think of stuff along the lines of the mood I'm drawing in. I guess I'm not all that good at hiding what I'm thinking. ::smiles a little::

Remmy rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry if I scared you. It's okay that you don't hide your feelings well, it means I can trust you to always be honest. And if not I could always guess." he said, chuckling a little. He hated having to lie to her but she would think he was nuts if he told her the truth. It would come soon enough though, once she knew he was in good mental health.

I just have to remember that I'm not the only person here anymore. ::grins:: And I'm usually pretty honest. ::shrugs:: I've never really had a reason not to be. My parents didn't punish me when I was little because they felt too sorry for me. ::thoughtfully:: I suppose that kind of turned me into a brat. I was pretty rude when I was a teenager.

Remmy shrugged. "All teenagers are brats, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. And you turned out pretty well if you ask me." he said, patting her on the shoulder lightly and sitting down.

You've only known me one day. Give it a week and see if you're still saying that. ::but she's smiling, and seems to remember her food as she starts to eat again:: You're a pretty good cook.

He blushed. "Thanks. I think I'll still be telling you that you turned out okay in a week. You're a pretty good person and I'm pretty good at judging personalities." he said, smiling.

::smiles again:: well thank you, then. But don't say I didn't warn you when I get in a bad mood over something. Like when they pre-empt Jerry Springer. ::grins sheepishly again::

Remmy laughed and smiled gently at her. He wanted to tell her the truth so badly, he could feel his stomach rolling. It was bad for a goddess to lie, and impossible for most of them. But then again, he was a....different goddess.

I only have a few shows that I have to absolutly watch, and that's one of them. It facinates me, how they find all those people who are so horrible to each other. And why those people would want to go on television in the first place and air their business. . . ::shrugs:: But I find it entertaining. One of my vices. ::kinda thinks that there's something up, so she's basically just talking to fill the silence::

Remmy chuckled. "It is odd how so many mortals would want to air their business." he didn't even realize he'd let slip the word mortals instead of saying people.

"What?" he asked, then thought about what he'd just said. "Uh, umm." he didn't know how to respind to that so he supposed he'd tell the truth. "I did say mortals." He was rubbing the back of is neck, often a sign that he was nervous or hiding something.
