The spin kick hit Damrius, sending him rolling on the ground away from Ryugi.
He had made no move to block it, but what would be the reason for that? If he had, it could have broken a bone, a vital one if he had used his arms. But, all he did was take the hit.
In the middle of a roll, Damrius used his left hand to shove off the ground, and landed with a skid on his feet, his fingers digging into the ground. He pulled in a charge, and the glint appeared again. This time however, it was definately coming from his eyes, for he was facing his back to the sun. He grinned, and held his sword in front of him with both hands, ready for another assault.

[12] Ryugi recovered from his kick, and watched as his opponent flipped up into a ready position and pulled his sword into a ready position as well. Fair enough. If Damrius wanted to play with swords, Ryugi would gladly oblige him. He grinned and pulled Sol Blade out of its sheath, moving the blade in front of him as well, before moving to close the distance between himself and his pupil, sword still at the ready, as he charged, sword trailing off to his right side and behind...

Damrius pulled in another charge, and the glint appeared again.
He held the grin, and would wait for his master to charge him, not going in to provoke a better swordsman. Especially one with his strength, for that would only result in weakened arms. Defense was his best move right now, and for the moment, he had plenty of that.

Ryugi neared and attacked with an upwards diagonal slash, aimed to hit Damrius in the side with the flat of the blade. No sense in causing any serious harm. This was a training fight, afterall.

As Ryugi's blade would come in at his side, it would halt about four inches from his body, and a surge of electricity would roll through the sword, and through connection, Ryugi.

Damrius As Ryugi's blade would come in at his side, it would halt about four inches from his body, and a surge of electricity would... Quote: *Negation- This default ability of the sword allows it to negate incoming magical attacks, within reason, using anti-magic. Higher power attacks can be negated by adding more energy to the blade, which can change regular magical energy into Anti-magic. The Sol Blade can hold up to 10 Anti-Magic charges, but cannot hold any Magic Charges of its own. This is controled by smaller, more effective energy leylines than the ones in Ragnarok. All of Sol Blade's attacks use anti-magical energy. This energy does normal damage to a non-magical or elemental being. Double damage to magical users and elemental users. And does four times the damage to a totally magical or elemental being or spirit. The pulse would negate the energy as Ryugi sensed it stop his blade, and then he'd jump back out of the way, the energy still floating around the area where Damrius stood. Ryugi inwardly frowned. He'd hoped for a swordfight. He didn't want to use powers yet. He decided to wait a little longer to see what happened, and decided not to charge, lest he unleash his destructive aura... Damrius pulled in the energy he had just used, as well as another charge.
Repositioning again, he lost the grin, and charged foreward, using his right hand to swing the sword with the flat of the blade up, and towards Ryugi's lower left side.

Ryugi hopped back as his pupil advanced and swung, using his own sword in his right hand to block the low left swing. As he did this, his left foot came up to deliver another kick to Damrius, once more aimed for his torso, as his sword swing, and therefore his left arm, would also be blocked.

As soon as Damrius's sword would connect with Ryugi's, he would pull it back, and step to his left, Avoiding Ryugi's left foot.
Now that he was to Ryugi's right side, he thrust his sword inwards, point first. NOt fast enough so as to peirce armor, but still enough to hurt if it hit.

Ryugi would use the momentum from his failed kick to move him forward and help him turn towards Damrius as he stabbed. Ryugi's sword was already at his right, so it was easy for him tom quickly move the blade into position to deflect Damrius' blade to his side, before grabbing the stabbing arm with his left, and spinning around to elbow Damrius in the chest with his right elbow.

Damrius would bring his left arm up, the right being the stabbing arm, and thrusting his hand in to meet Ryugi's elbow, putting as much force as would be required to stop it, as well as attempting to kick ryugi's right flank

[12] The kick would connect, but with little force behind it due to the closeness of the two fighters. Ryugi would then retreat a slight ways, still holding Dame's sword arm, which he would grip hard, and spin around, yanking the young man around, and hopefully tossing him aside a few feet so as to allow Ryugi more time to get into a fighting position.

Damrius would follow with the motion, and then land, skidding on the ground a few feet, and then charging in, barely allowing time for Ryugi to prepare for anything, and slashed with his sword, two handed, downards from Ryugi's left shoulder, at the smae time as staying light on his feet for easier movement.

The two weapons would meet one another in a clash as Ryugi's right and left hands gripped the handle of Sol Blade. As they met, Ryugi caught and pushed off with his arms to make Dame stumble back, before quickly recovering and performing almost the exact same move on Damrius, a downward diagonal cut from right to left. However, the only difference was that Ryugi's strike would be much more difficult to deal with, because Damrius was almost wide open. If the hit connected, Ryugi's sword could cut across Dame's chest and shoulder. Not fatal, but deep enough to draw blood across his midsection and hurt like mad, as well as help to disable Dame's left shoulder...

Damrius stumbled back, but he knew what was coming. With a flash of the eyes, the same electrical barrier came up, three charges to it this time, and would stop the blade as it came just within the reach of his shoulder. But, it would only act as a way for Damrius to fall flat on his a**, and he still felt like he had been hit with a bamboo rod. That was the only negative thing to using the electric sheild like that.
