Tsai nodded and moved to Zenmaru's left and waited for further instructions. He inspected the class. He stood still wondering what he was about to be asked to do.
"Could it be different from last weeks?" Tsai wondered. He turned his head and was about to burst into laughter when he heard that someone had a wooden scythe. "That's totally absurd.." he thought.

"yes ugu-sensei" auron said, he then pulled out his bokken and set in down infront of him and sat down and grabed the jug at his side which was full of sake and took a long swig.

Kaosu nodded at what Ugu said, he realized that having so many bodies buzzing around trying to hit Ugu would be just a little chaotic. Then, when Kaosu heard Tsai's name called, Kaosu nudged him and said, "Go get 'em." He just smiled as he looked up towards the sensei, staring hard at those bright eyes. Kaosu was determined to show his fierce determination and lack of fear, and he hoped giving the teacher the old stare-down would be a great way to start. Kaosu shifted the leather straps on his bokken as he continued to stare, whether or not the teacher noticed.

Raven's eyes narrowed into slits as he stood there, the man was looking at him as if he were a joke. He wanted to snarl, jump up and rip the man's eyes out of his skull and ask him to give him the look that he was now. He would prove to them that a sword was not the only weapon that was suitable. His Zenpakutou was nothing to be scoffed at just because it wasn't a sword, and the woden double-scythe was nothing to be taken lightly either. He could only smirk and cast his head down as he stood there. "I will make them see." He stated as he stood there. "I will make them see one day that they are unwise to judge my weapon on first glance." He growled to himself. "I may be weak now...but it is not my weapons fault, it is my own." He whispered, waiting for the demonstration.

"Ran Hana." again, that long slow drawl as she made her way toward the bokken rack, lifting not one, but two bokken of equal size and length, shifting the two in her hands, getting a good idea of their balance. These two would do nicely. The weight was well centered, and the length was almost equal to that of her own zanpaktou, so she'd be fighting with somewhat familiar weapons.
"Hope ya don't mind. I'm a real clutz with just one o'these." a grin that was almost wolfish, as she took her place among the other students. There was something odd about her, and it was more than just the haori she wore. She seemed raring and eager to go, at the thought of a pending fight.

Raven watched the girl named Ran Hana pick up two training swords and anaylize their weight. This girl was no pushover. She definately had fighting experience. Quietly, Raven made a note of her as well. There were three in the room he wanted to fight: Tomashi, to settle their little match from eariler, Tsai Lin, who obviously had plenty of knowledge with fighting, and this Ran Hana. Honestly, he wanted to go up against Hana most of all. He wanted to see how far he was from, apparently, the most skilled in the classroom, second to the Instructor. Or..vice versa... Raven ran his left hand down the shaft of his bokken and felt the wood up and down. It was slightly smaller then his actual zanpkatou, but it would have to do.
Raven untied his weapon from his side and put in on one of the empty zanpkatou racks. Then he quickly walked over next to Nobe and sat down. He saw the other new student wielding a wooden scythe like weapon and shrugged. To each his own.[22]

Kaosu sighed. There were so many people he wanted to fight, and none of them knew him. He walked over to the boy with the scythe, Raven as Kaosu heard it, and introduced himself. "I know ya probably heard my name already, but I'm Kaosu Ranmyaku, probably the only other one besides you here that wields a...'different' zanpaku-to. Trust me, muttering about it don't solve nothin'. It's your skill with that bugger that'll make everyone else think different. Trust me, I know."
Kaosu grinned, he had no idea where that speech came from, but he liked it anyways. Kaosu finally took his gaze off of the teacher and placed it on the almost unknown peer. Kaosu bowed quickly and shortly as he asked, "May I have your name?" He knew it probably seemed a little odd, but what the heck, might as well. "And second, may I have the pleasure of dueling you?"

"Gonna be late...." Zaviel said as he ran towards the class room.
Oh man, i better hurry, i'm gonna be late!!!
Zaviel just turned the corner and entered the room as he saw roughly seven people in the classroom, only about two or four he knew, Kaosu and Tsai plus Ugu, and he wondered if Mai was here yet, of if she would even be here after what happened. He also noticed that the person Annie was not here yet also. And.... Why is that man weilding a......scythe? Whatever, it looks pretty cool anyways. I am surpriesed, Zaviel thought as he went over to grab a bokken, that there are so many people....
"Hey," Zaviel said out loud, to Tsai; Kaosu and Ugu, "Am i late? Tsai and Kaosu, i am surprised you didn't sleep in after what happened." Zaviel started to walk over into the crowd of about seven people. He also heard Kaosu muttereing something about a duel as he came in. Typical Kaosu, down and all of a sudden he is up again. But...i should watch before i fight, if it is like last week, then i don't need to....but if is sparring with another person, i will have to analize the situation and style of the people i must spar with.

"The words you speak my friend are both true and inspiring." He said with a small amrik, bowing to him with a small smile. "But for the moment I can only allow you one of the two requests you have asked for he stated, gripping the wooden double-scythe in his hand. "My name dear sir, is Haro." Haro said with a bright smile. "I shall think of your request to duel over the next little while, but I think that I shall accept it at a later time, not too far off of coarse." He said, bowing to him. "Hope you do not mind my gracious request, but the thing is, I am not quite ready to put my money where my mouth is, first I must gather myself."

Annie rushed into the dojo with her pink hair flying behind her. She dashed to her right, grabbed a bokken from one of the sword racks, and did a shunpo to appear in the first row of the many students. Her bright pink eyes went up to her seven foot tall brother- obviously waiting for the lesson.
A smile was on her pink lips.

Ugu Zenmaru, turned to face his students. However the instant he looked was the instant he saw his little sister, Annie. He sighed and gripped his bokken's hilt a small bit tighter. "Annie. You're late," the sensei said, obviously angry at his sister's late appearance.
Then, without a moment's notice, his stick was rushing down to meet his sister's pale white brow.

Taking haste the younger Ugu brought up her bokken to block her brother's attack. She held her sword up high, making sure to halt her brother's bokken. The sharp clack of wood on wood resounded for all to hear, and she patiently held her sword high for her brother to see.
She had blocked her elder sibling's attack.. Something that she had never done before. Annie smiled at the thought of her possible improvement. heart

((To Those Unfamiliar With The Battle System: Note Karthan's block. She rolled a number, then added her dodge bonus to it. Therefore, after comparing my 1d20 + Attack Bonus with her 1d20 + Dodge Bonus, she blocked my character's blow. Simple, neh? This is basically how the battle system works. Rolls for attacks then rolls for dodging.
However, it does get more complicated down the line when you factor in Kidou, ect. :Heart smile )
Ugu smiled at his sister's swift block. He withdrew his weapon and began to speak again. "Zanjutsu, as I said already, is powerful. Tsai, and a few others, have already made the point that the skill is more powerful when used with other skills. That is true with everything that you learn in this academy. It's even more true when you co-ordinate with other shinigami." A chuckle came from him as he continued, "That is why Soul Society is stronger than any threat put against it. Everything is strengthened with more than one view is added to it."
"However.. This isn't a class about the harmony of Soul Society, or a class about tactics. This class is about Zanjutsu- The Art Of Sword Combat." The teacher blurred to his left, to where Tsai currently stood. "Tsai and I will illustrate the basics of this class." A sword swing fell downward, aiming to smash into Tsai Lin's left shoulder.

If Ran was at all aware that she was being watched by Raven, she gave no indication at all. Instead, her movements followed the downward motion of Ugu's blade. And then, a similar downward movement when it came to the attack on the one called Tsai. It was a similar pattern she was noticing, likely because of the man's size.
A downward motion would make the most sense, based on his size, and the power he'd get behind the swing, due to the momentum, and his size. She'd have to observe this fight carefully. After all, one never knows when they might be the next target of the teacher for an 'illustration'.

Tsai nodded to Ugu's lecture, every word the teacher said was almost as if he had read it out from a book, but there were no books around. He was quick to react to the blur that came rushing at his left shoulder, Tsai remained calm, this was a class he did pass before. He shifted his left foot along with his body and attempted to avoid the teacher's attack. The blunt blade of the bokken would slide down and would be inches away from Tsai, but it would still count as being dodged.
The shifting of the foot would also allow Tsai to use his weight and move forward to contributing the force of his counterattack.
