A t-shirt in one hand and his Calvins in the other, Liam simply stared at Kindred as he entered, then left, then entered again. He didn’t want another bunkmate, but you had to accept what life handed you. For some reason, it seemed like part of the RRC’s strategy for him was to immerse him in twenty-four-hour-a-day social interaction. He bobbed his head up and down in a startled nod, then gestured towards the bunk where his stuff had been put.
He had begun to say something, but found himself cut off by Seamus’s excited and accusatory entrance. His color changed, no longer flushed but drained, a sick sort of pale that made it appear that he might throw up at any moment. People kept flooding into his fortress of solitude, the latest brought there by his own scream. He had worked hard to maintain an image of the stoic loner - coming around at the bare minimum required of him, staring off into space most of the day, wearing his hair down over his face like an old school rock and roll star. Now he was Liam, the reactive pansy with a pretty face and Calvin Klein underpants. As the seconds tiptoed past, his light eyes started to water as he tried to stammer out some sort of reasonable and completely normal thing to say. “Um, uh, er,” he searched, flitting his glance away from Seamus, then to Kindred, and finally Gabriel before it found the floor. “Did I uh, wake you up? Ss-sorry.” ((welcome back!))

Gabriel glanced over his shoulder as the door creaked open, blue-gray eyes fixing upon Kindred for the brief moment he was visible. Oh, at least he looked promising! He looked like a man, not the squealing diva that had come into the room first. Perhaps more suitable conversation could be made with him... if only he'd stayed in the room. His lips formed a frown and he turned on his heel, approaching the door at a brisk pace in efforts to keep Kindred from walking away for two reaons; one, he wanted the more stable-appearing company and two, if he could, he'd like to keep the poor guy from wandering the entire place looking for the right room due to a misunderstanding. "Hey...!" However, as his hand landed upon the doorknob it was pulled away and he found Kindred poking his head in once again. Why was it Gabriel seemed to be the only one aware of this triple-issue?
"You're Kindred, right?" Gabriel asked, head tilting to one side questioningly. "Abby told me there'd be a Liam and a Kindred... so, if you are, then yeah. This is yours..." The last half of his sentence was somewhat lost beneath Seamus' alarmed entrance, the black-haired boy trailing off as his eyes focused upon the newcomer. Oh no, what if that was Kindred? That familiar sinking sensation filled his stomach again. He'd sooner hang himse- he quickly regretted that thought and pushed it aside, a faint wince visibly upon his face as he did so.
Taking a step back, he looked to Liam, then back to Kindred, to Seamus, and lastly to the peanut butter sandwhich for just a brief moment. Noting Liam's stuttering response, he shook his head, close to another sigh. They seemed common all of a sudden, didn't they? "I startled him, that's all." He informed Seamus, saving Liam from any more embarassing stories... like the Rolex incident. A vengeful part of him desperately wanted to go into detail and make Liam out to be the scared and spoiled little boy he'd been introduced to... but for now, let's make good first impressions, right? None of that nastiness. Not yet.

Kindred looked up at the other boy was now standing right by the door. Ok, so at least he was in the right place. Kindred opened his mouth to confirm Gabe's thoughts when someone else came bursting in behind him. Mildly frightened, Kindred jumped forward and fully into the room.
He looked behind him and saw Seamus, or the sleepy kid as he had dubbed him being he didn't know his name. Seamus mirrored Kindred when he realized everything was fine; voice dropping and his embarassment obvious.
Kindred sighed and moved to his bed, which was positioned under Gabes. he sat on the edge, hunched over as to knock bang his head. "Too much excitement for one night..." he muttered.

Seamus grinned a bit sheepishly at the new boy's explanation. That would certainly explain things a bit.... although the room dynamics would certainly be interesting to see in the future. Potential prankster and potential prank-ee if he didn't know any better, what with how loud Liam had been "startled".
Speaking of which, where were all of these people coming from?! Did an entire legion of boys decide to just skip the getting-to-know-you session? He hoped that his room hadn't been turned into a triple while he was gone- that would totally kill his wall space.
Deciding to accept the boy's explanation, and surrepticiously flinching at Kindred's not-so-subtle barb, Seamus began his retreat.
"Well, um, since nobody seems to be in need of rescuing, I'll kindly take my knight in shining armor act and shove it up my a**." He shot the others an apologetic grin. "Sorry for thinking that one of you could have done something, but that scream was scary as hell. I'll stop bothering ya' now. G'night." With that, he walked out of the room and softly closed the door.
Damage control aside, that had been just plain awkward.
Although he was still hungry, he knew from experience that Abby got feral (or as feral as that woman ever got) when he wandered about after curfew. So, with nothing in particular in mind, he headed back to his dorm room.

For a moment, Liam thought of something he had long forgotten. Back in middle school he had been sent to camp in Oregon, which was all fine and dandy until everyone started calling him “Hollywood”. That, however, didn’t seem to have anything to do with the current situation. As Seamus exited, Liam exhaled a deep sigh of relief. At least no big issue was going to be pressed, and Gabriel, for now at least. He stepped backwards towards the bathroom, then looked over both boys, just to make sure neither of them looked particularly angry at him.
“Okay, I’m showering... now...” His gaze dropped to the peanut butter sandwich he had offered them earlier, and now feeling a little bit stingy, he snatched it up. “And I’m going to eat this...” Thinking for a moment, he set it back down. It would get all soggy in the bathroom. “Uh, afterwards, that is. Okay. Um, bye.”
It was the most nerve wracking thing he had ever done, allowing two other people into his room while he wasn’t present. They could be doing any number of things. Fingering his possessions, browsing through his clothes, making fun of his lack of bed making skills and his big bunny he liked to sleep with. He closed his eyes then twisted on the water. He had better make this fast.

Gabriel swallowed a sigh of relief as Kindred turned out to be the more masculine one, a near thankful glance given to the boy as he moved past him and settled upon his bed. Ahah! And he hadn't even noticed the sheets were slightly wrinkled! ... Not that that was any huge accomplishment on Gabriel's part, it just made him slightly happy. With his luck, it would have turned out Kindred was some freakishly neat a**l-retentive weirdo who was about to start screaming and pitching a fit over his comforter. Phew, crisis avoided.
"Um, thanks. though... Night." He offered to Seamus as he made his retreat. At least the boy had a good head on his shoulders, right? A hero to come running at any signs of trouble! ... Probably a tattle-tale, though. He could imagine Seamus being the first to squeal if he did something that didn't really adhere to the rulebook. Then again, he didn't really know the boy, so to cast judgement on him so early was rather uncalled for. Waiting for him to fully take his leave, he shut the door and then turned, leaning back against it.
He frowned as Liam snatched The Sandwhich. What if he'd decided he wanted it after all? And, hey, it hadn't even been offered to Kindred! "Don't hurt yourself." He offered as a way of farewell, half-expecting him to slip and crack his head on the tile in all of his flustered glory. Once he had exited as well, leaving Kindred and himself alone, he pushed off of the door and made his way back to the center of the room. "I'm Gabriel... and you look just about as worn out as I feel. How long have you been here for?"

Immortalatheart The frantic sound of footsteps rushing towards him caused Tristan to snap to attention and turn around. He put out his arms to catch Aiden and steady the skidding boy. Blue eyes wide and confused, Tristan looked to Aiden with a truely perplexed expression as the boy blerted out how sorry he was.
"...I shouldn't have joked and then I wouldn't have-- but you're okay? I mean he - that guy said you might.... I...."
Tristan's eyebrows furrowed in futher confusion and his first reaction was to calm the boy down with a steady but gentle "Shhhh...." He removed his hands from Aiden, feeling the body was steady enough to stand by himself before he shook his head faintly. "What are you talking about?" He asked first but then he realized what Aiden had meant by 'that guy' and slowly the pieces of the puzzle came together in his mind and he could guess what had happened.
"... I'm fine... and you have no reason at all to apologize to me. You didn't do anything wrong." His confused look softened slightly and he sighed. "....Don't let that a** hole get to you..." He paused and then offered a fragile smile to prove to Aiden that he was okay. "... or else I'll have to kick his a** if he bother's you again..." He said quietly, though by his tone it suggested that he was kidding... but who could tell? He was tired and therefore his emotions were dulled and unclear. Chances were he probably would have liked to go back and tell off Justin if wasn't so tired. ((Sorry for my while of absence, everyone. I don't have time to read any other posts, so if anything has happened concerning these two, please forgive me...))Aiden nodded slowly to show he understood, face flushed brightly from his spint, but he looked rather reluctant to just believe that everything was fine. He tried to smile at the other... but failed rather miserably. "Nnn... don't... beat him up... he was just... I think he was trying to look after you...." he mumbled slowly, eyes lowered to the ground.
How stupid could he possibly be? Of course Tristan was... Tristan was... fine. Aiden just... worried too much... or something. And being overly cautious would only hurt everything... he should just... stop thinking. The pink-haired teen squeezed his eyes tight shut, a small pout on his lips, and exhaled a deep sigh before he opened his eyes again.
"Right. Let's... go, then. Back to our room?"

Kindred looked up. "5 hours." he replied. "This is after the 8 hour car drive and the scuffle with three of the 'guards' here." In advertently, he reached up and gingerly touched his nose. It hadn't bled lately but till was tender and a tiny bit swallowen. He wondered if any of the guards had walked away with similar battle scars. Well at least that first one.
"I guess you're a new arrival too?" Kindred asked.

Gabriel was surprised. Only five hours and the other boy already looked this exasperated? Well, at the very least it at least proved Kindred was as normal as he had suspected. Glancing around, he gave up on finding a more suitable place to sit and placed himself across from Kindred on Liam's bed. "Yeah, I only just got here about... maybe twenty minutes ago?" He shrugged his shoulders. The exact time wasn't important, his guess was close enough. "A scuffle?" He inquired, that tidbit sticking out more than the car trip in his mind. "What happened?"
What if Kindred was randomly horribly violent? Er... could he hold his own against the boy? He really didn't want to find out right now. Maybe he should have asked what he was in for before he asked about the scuffle...

"Sure." Tristan said in agreement, his eyes wandering out towards their room before they flickered back to Aiden. It was then that he noticed there was a glimmer in the corner of Aiden's eyes from when the young teen had nearly been brought to tears.
His blue eyes looked softly over Aiden to make sure that nothing else was wrong, wondering for the first time if Justin had been stupid enough to lay a hand on his pink headed friend. Justin looking after him? Ha. Aiden's attempt to find the goodness in people was cute and so Tristan didn't correct him, he only did the only thing he could to comfort the teen. He wrapped one arm around Aiden and then with his other hand he ruffled the boy'd pink hair gently until it was in a wild mess. He wasn't very good at comforting other guys... but Aiden reminded him so much of his younger sister in his behavior that he felt he might as well give it a try.
He offered a quick grin and then playfully bopped the other teen's chin so that it lifted slightly. "... I won't beat him up... only if you stop looking so sad. Deal?"
Tristan tilted his head to the side and looked at Aiden. Underneath his exhaustion, there was comfort in his tone. He just wanted to go to sleep with the peace of mind that his first friend at the RRC wasn't going to be upset. After all, Aiden was the first person in weeks who didn't look at him with underlying fear in his eyes. He wanted to show that respect to Aiden as well.

Kindred was starting to get used to people asking him "Why are you here?" and "What happened?" Or maybe it was the fact that he was tired. "I fell alseep in the car and one of my escorts kinda roughly woke me up and scared me. I couldn't remember where I was and first instinct was to punch the guy in the face. And then it kinda escalated." he said but felt the familar embarassment creeping.
Kindred took a moment to look over at Liam's side of the room. The kid had nice stuff. A few years ago Kindred would have probably stolen some of it already. Designer brands and fancy electronics fetched some good drug money.
The ex-addict shuddered and pushed those impulses away. His brown eyes fell on Gabe again. "So why are you here?" Kindred asked.

((Zomg. My friend got me addicted to a new (for me) band. Shiny Toy Guns. <333333333333))
Aiden nodded slowly, a small smile creeping across his lips. "Deal." It felt... strange. Comforting.... good... to have someone... who didn't flinch away from him before touching him. Someone who could be... normal. Friends. Aiden hadn't had a real friend in... he didn't know how long. He had always been a people magnet, but those around him were usually boyfriends, one night stands, "friends with benefits" or clients. Once he put it all from someone else's perspective, it was easy for Aiden to see just how screwed up his life was (in more than one way [=bad pun]).
"Right, so... off to the messy abomination!! I mean the room!" Aiden said, smiling a bit almost in spite of himself. Maybe he... could actually... have a good time here? He had been here for nearly three months but had tried very hard to distance himself at least slightly from the others (it didn't completely work but was decidedly easy as the others generally wanted nothing to do with him, anyway) for fear of... doing something to them.

Orpheus had glanced up as Seamus left and then resumed reading his book. After several minutes, however, he heaved a small sigh and set his book down, carefully inserting a napkin into his book instead of an actual bookmark. He tended to use just whatever he found around the place.
He stretched slightly and made his way out the door and was about to search for Seamus when he met face-to-face with the other boy. Slightly startled, his more-gold-than-brown hazel eyes widened slightly before he resumed his usual detatched expression. "Ehh... hi..." he said. "Thought you might have tumbled again what with all the... excitement?" He grinned slightly and shrugged, refuring to the scream and Seamus' sleepy tendencies.

Aiden's enthusiasm caused Tristan to lift his eyebrows and shake his head slightly. He would have to grow used to the sudden outbursts. He gave Aiden's shoulders a quick squeeze before he removed his arm from around the boy and returned his hands to their casual place in his pockets. He turned his gaze towards the room and then started forward, his pace slower than normal. It was quite possible that the moment he hit the bed he would be asleep.
Abby, however decided to ring in and explain the night curfew over the intercom.
"Alright boys! Time to head into your rooms and get some shut eye! Tomorrow's going to be a busy day! Meet me at the stables at 9:00 am sharp, got that? For all of you newcomers, this will be your first assignment! Nighty-night all!" - Abby's voice then dissapeared over the microphone and the boys were finally left with silence for the rest of the night.
