onikage mangacatgirl *checks both your stats* ... wtf? You guys are both under 10k (by a lot)... How did you even manage that one? i don't care about items, donations, or quests...when i started it was about socialization. then i realized that the interwebs brings out the bad in people, generally speaking that is.. I don't post to earn gold... or I'd be doing a lot of bumping. sweatdrop I just post when I want to be part of a discussion... I suppose I talk too much. sweatdrop

Gold is pretty useless... I'm questing right now, so I'm obviously not the posterboy for that statement, but it's mostly because I don't have anything better to do with it.
Though the pirate gear does look pretty snazzy.

I didn't get a bunch of pirate gear for the one reason that has proven itself to be true. I knew everyone would get it and wear it... so I didn't. Thar just be too many pirates 'round Gaia these days-yarr...

Thar just be too many pirates 'round Gaia these days-yarr... But how many good lookin' pirates are hanging around? Plus I'm in a pirate gang in real life yo. I had to.

I was one of the original Gaia pirates back in the day. I had the best pirate RP there was. In character 24/7 I provided the pay for the looting and plundering, did storyline and quests so there was rarely nothing to be done. Everyone had a position on the ship... people were literally begging to get in but I only let good RPers participate (I gave everyone a few days trial and weeded out the ones who didn't cut it). I miss the Blood Gem crying Oh well...

Gold just gives me something to do when there seems to be nothing else on here. I used to be all about the bitchin' items, but I got bored of it. I'd still love a couple donation items; however, I don't waste my time worrying about it anymore.
I just want enough for suspenders. mad
