Now only a few feet from her, The Charizard brought his face right up to Nina's, hot air seeping from his mouth. I bet you'll taste good. In an instant he reared back and opened his mouth slamming it shut just short of her face. Nitro could feel a few bristles of hair in his mouth as he let out a bloodthirsty roar, still right in front of the snotty girl. He slammed his tail to the ground and beat his wings, tearing up the ground with his claws. He exhaled fire into the air, then began clawing at the earth like some feral animal.

Nina's eyes grew enormous as she was nearly devoured, and she fell backwards, landing on her rear end. Quickly getting up, the girl started to laugh. "Don't you even START with me, you poor excuse for a Pokemon!" she screamed fiercely, trying not to let her slight fear show. Reaching for her belt, she held the Pokeballs that contained Anna and Krystal.

"I don't want to fight you," Nina said, "mainly because it would be a gigantic waste of my time. So why don't you go back to your precious trainer and protect him before something... happens?" Nina raised one of her eyebrows, suggestively.

The Charizard turned his back victorious, not even responding but letting out a snort. He thrashed his tail as he turned, making some embers scattered in the air as he stomped off. Nitro walked back to Mike, who was still crying on the ground, he couldn't stand seeing him like that. Nitro shot another nasty glare at Nina then slowly sat down beside his trainer, coiling his tail gently around the boy.

Mike looked up, tears still streaming down his face. He sniffled, picking up his hat. "Nitro..." He wailed, wrapping his arms around the Charizard. "It's like no one ever cares!" Mike continued to sob as the Charizard, who just moments ago threatened someone's life, put his arm on the boy's shoulder.

"I care."

A loud obnoxious sigh could be heard from all corners of the Gym. "You must be one of Mike's friends." A sweet voice called out from a platform hanging from the ceiling. "That boy never has the patience for anything." The figure leapt down from above, landing with due grace, some feathers floating out from her outfit. Standing before Dante was a lovely young girl no more than eighteen years old with long flowing purple hair. She was dressed in a blue themed jump suit, a stylish helmet rested atop her head.

"I am Winona, state your name." She said coldly, pointing to the newcomer.

Kasiya now stood outside Pokemon Center, staring at the PokeNav in her hand. She'd just about given up trying to call Mike, when it felt as though an arrow had torn through her chest. She fell to the ground in pain, breathing heavily, feeling as though something somewhere was going terribly wrong, and she didn't have to scroll down to find Mike's number as she was instantly dialing from memory. "Pick up, Mike," she begged, getting to her feet and bracing herself against the wall of the Pokemon Center for support. "Please..."

Mike was feeling better, he was glad to have Nitro as a friend, he really knew how to cheer him up. He wiped a tear from his eye as he was jolted up by yet another rumble in his pants. "Yeep!" He jumped up, almost dropping the PokeNav. The number displayed read a familiar name. Pretending to be perked him right back into his usual perky mood he answered. "Hi Kasiya!" He practically yelled, his eyes still wet with tears. He recalled Xanthos, who took the moment of freedom to start toppling small trees.

Mike walked over to Flannery, who seemed quite taken back by this whole thing. Without saying anything he pulled her into a warm embrace. "I'm sorry for not telling you," he whispered finally. "...for all these years."

Winona grit her teeth together, glaring at this boy. "The nerve you have!" She shrieked, balling her hands into fists. "For your information my mother made this entire outfit herself for my birthday. I just so happen to like it very much!" Winona's face turned red with pure rage, her teeth scraping against each other. "You should know as Gym Leader I have every right to refuse any battle I wish."

She stomped her foot angrily, pointing towards the door. "And I am doing so right now, get OUT!

"Well..." He began, trying to sound as composed as he could. "I came to Viridian to check up on Giovanni, hoping you'd want to battle some Rockets with my like old times." He sighed, remembering Nina's behavior. "And Nina was here, and she seemed totally different. She felt empty, and said some really mean things." He paused for a moment before some tears began to roll down again. "Kassie I'm sad..." Mike sniffled, rubbing his eye with his free hand. "If you want to meet up with me and Flannery, we're right near the Gym." He hung up the PokeNav, still holding on to the Gym Leader like he never wanted to let go.
