The whisper was noted. He took a quick look around, everything was just as he expected, Morgan looked like a bear in hibernation, he wondered for a moment if the man wasn't a Werebear. Whatever. There was a more important matter at hand.
"Let's see..."
He strolled around the bar, poured himself some water, yes some water, then headed into the backroom. Somewhere in the corner was a small crate, there was nothing special about it, it was just marked as 'fragile'. Humming to himself e moved to it and knelt looking the small object over before he reached over and opened it.
Inside there was straw, lots of it, of course it wasn't what he was after, oh no, it was what was hidden in it that he wanted. He finished his glass then rummaged through the crate. A moment later...
"Aha..."
There it was, he pulled out a small orb with strange markings on it, what they were he had no clue. What he did know however was that it was worth something, it was worth someone's life, and it was worth looking after. Before standing he stuffed the artifact in his sweater then turned to exit to the room.

 Sigh
It always came down to this...
"...You know I can't let you leave here with that without Morgan's permission, lover." Odd the way she said lover, but women were odd weren't they. "You can put it back, wait till Morgan gets up and says it's okay, or you can put it back and we forget this ever happened."
With one shoulder of the bathrobe falling off her porcelain skin, she looked more seductress than butt kicker, but she did have muscles...Cris knew that after last night. The question was, did she have more than that to back up her word.

Reinhart breathed in heavily, then sighed just the same. She gave him two options he could think of two more.
"Or... you can let me go and forget you saw me come back to get this, it is mine after all."
Emphasis on is.
"Then again, you can try and stop me from leaving, but in that bathrobe, I doubt you can do much but give me another tour of last night."
He winked, confidently but not so much as to actually take another tour, he had business to conclude. Maybe even people to kill.
"What do you say sweetheart?"
A jab back at her for reminding him of someone he thought he forgot or vise versa.
"You gonna play nice?"

She sighed, her arm stretching above her head, the bathrobe lifting to cover things again as her fingers ran through her hair. And when it came back down, the package was gone from Reinhart's hand, and now in hers. And then it was gone.
"Sorry, it's not yours unless Morgan says it is." In fact, she even lifted both her arms as if to say 'See, nothing up my sleeves.'Transfer Any item, whether mystical or normal, may be transferred. But something must be given in exchange as long as she can either see the item,it's shape or otherwise know that it existed and was within 15 feet. She hadn't touched it, but it was a sphere...and sorry, but Cris has a fairly rock hard body...a random orb was going to stand out.
"We want to try this again, or are you going to hit me?" In his hand, Reinhart would find a small lock of blond hair. Platinum blond hair.

Interesting. Robbed of his possesion and all he had ot show ofr it was a lock of blond hair. Platinum blond hair. Disturbing.
"Cute."
He said with more than obvious sarcasm.
"Look I don't have time for this and that thing in your hand is dangerous, you'd do well giving it back."
Unknown to Dani the object was marked for several reasons, one being to keep whatever was inside from getting out, another to keep things like this from happening and so on. By now she'd notice it was getting cold alarmingly quick, the longer it stayed out of Reinhart's possesion the faster the frost would spread. What was odd was the fact that the chill was centered around her, though it spread around the room and everything in it.
Needless to say, if she didn't give it back, she'd freeze, and freeze quick. She had to return it or let it consume her like it did everyone else before it was caught, it wasn't just an orb, it was a curse and Dani just unknowingly inherited it.

She shivered, but then just as quickly, things warmed up again. At least for her. "You always were oblivious. Or maybe they just don't matter..." She sighed, and was quiet for a moment. Looking as if she was talking to someone Cris couldn't see.
"Yes...I understand. If you're certain..." Apparently speaking to the air. "Looks like we both get what we want. Morgan says you can have it. He wants nothing to do with it." And just that easily, the orb was floating in front of Cris' face again. Once he put his hand out, it would drop into it, and Dani would be turning her back on him, about to exit.
"I'm sure you can see yourself out."

Nothing. All the trouble he'd gone through to stiffle the thing he was carrying and it seemed to have little to no effect on Dani. Funny. Then again he'd sealed it so that would explain just about everything.
When the orb reappeared he gently took it and hid it in his jacket, the cold still lingered on it as it flaked bits of ice. Looked like he was free to go, but something bothered him, he ignored it for a moment as he walked past Dani. He stopped and spoke without looking back.
"You remind me of someone."
A small laugh escaped him and he shook his head as if shaking off a memory.
"I'll see you around."
And with that he headed for the door waving to the form of Morgan be he asleep or awake.

"She's dead."
Was all she said, before she headed back up to her room. Leaving Morgan to wave at Reinhart as he left as well. Perhaps some things were better left unsaid.

At the door he stopped once more and turned this time to catch Dani's back as she ascended the stairs.
"Death can't claim her if I claim her first."
Who was she trying to fool? He turned again and left for the docks.

Nothing more would be said, but Reinhart would feel a small presence at his back for the rest of the day and beyond, but it was always just out of reach. He could turn his head and it's swivel around...Constantly there, just haunting him. Both familiar and distant. Like an itch you can't reach. Then again, he was good at blocking things out till he could deal with them. But there would be an urge to check on his sister. But whose urge that was, remained to be seen.

Such a weather as today's usually make Melina want to sing, and she had decided that this afternoon would be no exception. The sun had just strolled past high-noon, and stood proud and alone in the empty sky, as blue as ever over the island. It almost made Melina sad that she was leaving Gambino so soon, but she stayed assured that it wouldn't be too long before she'd find a beautiful day in another beautiful place.
The song wasn't really worth noting; another empty hit that, while nothing worth remembering, still stayed catchy enough to whistle along. It might have been Avril Lavigne. Melina was at a gas station, pumping her pretty little Vespa up for the road to the ferry, then the ferry to the next destination. Her clothes were light, a pair of beige cargos, a brown tank and flip flops, with her hair held up in a pig-tail to keep it from warming her up more than necessary. She felt as hip as one could be. All she needed was a coffee, which she'll get while paying for the gas.
"Life is goooooood."

There where a few seagulls perched about the town streets, but that didn't seem to bother a rather odd looking human. She didn't seem to mind them as she continued to window shop. A few passing strangers looked in shock as they could see the girl walk pass, muttering things to one another. However, she only shrugged and brushed her shoulder length black hair.
This was Madi, and she was different. Very, VERY, different. For on top of her her head, a set of snow white rabbit ears bounced along in unison with her step. Her nose twitched slightly as she adjusted her red jacket and black rimmed glasses. Above her, a seagull seemed now to be focused on the cotton tail on her backside, as though it would be the perfect accessory to its nest.
"What a lovely day...I mean it couldn't get any w-" Before she could finish her sentence she could hear a loud cry from behind her. She turned her head around to see that the preying seagull was diving towards her. Since the seagull was moving rather quickly, other birds seemed to follow the pack. Now, at least twenty birds where heading her way...all aiming for her.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Her loud high pitch voice screeched out as her heavy black boots smacked against the side walk. She could not reach her top speed as there were quite a large crowd of people. However, she was moving fast enough just to barely get out of the demon birds grasps.

A dingy boat with a worn and tired sail coasted up toward the Isle's dock. It was taking on water and slowly sinking. Perhaps the only reason it had not gone down under already was through the sheer willpower of the boat's "captain", whom stood defiantly upon the ship's bow, arms crossed over his chiseled chest. The sea breeze blew through his afro and the sunlight reflected off his shades. It was none other than Afro-sama, returned from his long journey from... somewhere!
"Drink up, me hearties! Yo ho!"
As the ship vanished underneath the waves, Afro leaped from what remained of his boat and cleared the distance to the dock, landing safely. He whipped his reflective long coat around his shoulders, slipping his arms through the sleeves and putting the garment on as he walked down the dock into town.

"Hm?"
Okay, so Vespas aren't F1 speed demons, and most legislations won't allow them on a highway, but that was just ... somewhat insulting. With her coffee secured between her feet, Melina had taken the road toward the docks, and now that she had nearly arrived, she was doubled by a pedestrian dressed up like a rabbit.
Also, a flock of seagulls.
It took a second for Melina to understand the situation, but she understood it well enough to react. With a twist of the wrist, her tiny little motor roared at the top of its lungs, and propelled her forward a good two miles an hour faster, trying to catch up to the distressed woman.
"Hang on!" She shouted, "I'll try driving them away, keep running!"
At the end of the streets, the sea and its horizon could already be seen.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" There was only one way to describe Madi's face right at this moment. Many could refer it as the "gonk" face. Although, she had quite a good speed on the sea gulls. It wasn't till the worst was yet to happen. Since roads are commonly are filled with a variety of pot holes, especially with ones closer to the docks. Running on them usually never became a good idea. SPLAT The rabbit soon found herself face first into the ground as one of her boots managed to catch in the hole. Now blinded by her own snow white ears, she dug into her coat and began to fiddle to find a weapon as she could feel herself getting pecked from all angles. "Owowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowow!" She mumbles as the birds continued to try and make themselves a new nest. Madison seemed to fumble with the inside of her coat. Finally out of frustration, she did the only thing she knew how. She began to flail in attempts to remove the birds. Honestly, this was definitely an interesting sight to see.
