Maki frowned as she looked up at Zetsuei. "No... I don't want to go back to the hospital," she moaned. "That's where it's waiting ... could you bring Shinja here? I have something to tell you all."
Maki began rocking back and forth while hugging her knees.

Shinja let out a sigh of relief. "Well it's good to know that you aren't infected...that is one nasty scar though, Kyana." Shinja smirked and continued walking towards the hospital. "So what exactly were you two doing out here anyways?"

"Alright Maki, Ill go find Shinja and bring him back here so you may speak with him."
Spreading his wings Zetsuei jumped into the sky and with a flap of his wings he headed back towards the hospital.

Fira watched as Zetsuei flew off before she looked over at Maki and asked, "Are you alright? Do you want me to get you anything?"

Maki looked at Fira and forced a smile even though her sides ached her body shaking from the loss of blood.
"No..your company is conforting ... I owe you so much yet I have little to offer," she said staring at the vast blue sea trying to think of a way to tell her friends what she has learned that this infection is more than a simple illness. But she didn't want to worry them either. "I'm lost Fira. I don't know what to do anymore. I used to be focused ... energetic ... and a fighter. But now... I'm lost. I've never experienced this sort of ailment before and ... it scares me."

Fira smiled back at Maki, "Well, with fear also comes strength. But being lost, I really don't know what to tell you. I've lost myself so many times in my past life that I still feels like parts of me are missing. I think it's mostly my memory but who knows." She shrugged, "If your lost then only you along with your friends can find yourself again."
She stared at the sand for a moment before speaking again, "And you don't owe me anything. It's nice to meat someone who needs my help instead of someone who wants to help themselves for a change." Suddenly Fira reached back with her other hand and gripped one of her wings with a slight and swift jerk a feather from the wing.
She brought the feather forward and looked at it for a moment as she ran her fingers over it letting fire faintly wasp around it. Blood dripped from the end of it once as it burnt the sand where it had landed. "I don't know if you'll have a need to use this, but here. It will grant you one wish that dose not affect love or death. And I don't think my magic is powerful enough to cure your aliment, but it could help" Fira held out the feather to Maki, "If you do decide you want it, then I suggest not to make a wish right away, I would think deeply about it first. Who knows it might even help you become un-lost."
As Fira waited for a response from Maki she tried to think about the last time she ever gave a feather to someone by her own choice. Usually she was forced and it seemed unfortunate outcome came because of those type of people. Yet she saw that Maki was a kind soul and most likely would not abuse the power if she took it.

Kioshi.kun Shinja let out a sigh of relief. "Well it's good to know that you aren't infected...that is one nasty scar though, Kyana." Shinja smirked and continued walking towards the hospital. "So what exactly were you two doing out here anyways?" "We have been looking for kisaragi heres sister. Some people seem to have attacked and killed his parents. WE had to bury them and look for his sister who has dissapeared." Kyana wondered wether it was the right thing returning to town she almost felt she was abandoning kisaragis sister."as for the infection I think we should consult with the monks at the temple of the phoenix. Unfortunately I do not know where that is."

Maki smiled at Fira, "Thank you. Maybe I'll hold on to it for a very special occasion," she replied accepting the feather and gently held it up and stared at it. Then looked at Fira. "Doesn't it hurt you to pull your feathers? Maybe you shouldn't do that. It's very beautiful ... "
Maki starred at a few more moments and rummaged through her pouch for an empty box. Opening the box she gently placed it inside and sprinkled a few grains of sand inside before sealing it shut.
"To remember this moment even if I never used it," she said smiling. "My memories bad or good should always be kept. It makes me who I am ... but as far as my ailment. I don't think its an ailment at all. I'm telling you this incase I pass out. My head ... it doesn't seem right and I still feel weak. I want to tell my friends myself but just in case ... "
She paused before turning her body towards Fira.
"I feel I can trust you," said Maki taking a deep breath. "What I thought were my nightmares I have just learned were visions sent to my mind by the evil flowing in my veins right now. It manifested itself into those horrid vines I thought were only in my nightmares but they are real now. Each time we fought in my mind, my wound opens and the darkness drips onto the ground creating more vines. In the most recent attack I realized that I am floating between sleep and consiousness which is what the darkness wanted. Someone has taken my blood because I can feel the wound on my back but apparently it wasn't part of the darkness' plans but it didn't care. At some point when I was encased inside that pod something was taken from me and now I hear the cries of an infant. I'm not sure what happened while I was passed out, but just before you rescued me it said something about needing my blood to feed my son."
Maki hugged her knees again and looked at the waves crashing against the beach.
"Listen, I think the evil that was once part of the orb is being reborn as we speak ... and .... I might have helped it unconsciously," she said shooting a glance at Fira hoping she wouldn't be judged. "I knew I should have told Shinja and Zetsuei months ago I was having these problems ... but I thought it was just combat stress."

Fira just shrugged, "Only a little, besides my feathers grow back quite fast."
She then listened to Maki quite carefully, trying not to miss a word she spoke before asking with a curious face, "Your son? Feeding your son your blood?" She started to think, "That is a problem... and if the orb is being reborn, then what about the others that may have been infected during the fight?"
"All I can suggest is maybe you need someone else to help you within your mind. I've heard of spell that allow a person to go into your mind, but it takes dark magic and many years of experience to learn such a difficult spell. Yet, alone learn how to do successfully." Fira said with a sigh, "Yet it might be one way of helping you fight this thing."
Fira then sort of felt guilty and sighed, "I think I know who created that wound on your back, but I didn't know he took your blood. And somehow I think it's partly my fault."

Maki thought about what Fira had said and remembered seeing Shinja in one of her nightmares, in fact he gave her a sword to use against the lava pit monster.
"I think Shinja knows how to enter people's minds," she replied. "I remember him giving me a sword to fight with during one of my nightmares ... at least I thought it was Shinja. It felt like him."
She then smiled and looked at Fira.
"Don't blame yourself," she said laying in the sand. Her eyes grew heavy from fatigue. "It's not your fault someone took my blood."
As she concentrated on the sounds of the sea Maki closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Fira watched as Maki fell asleep then turned to the sea watching as the waves broke and crashed on the beach as she muttered, "But I think someone took your blood because of me." She sighed laying back on the sand taking in the sun that felt nice and warm on her skin. Again her feather on her wings soaked up the sun as they layed streached out from sided to side out of her back.

Looking around as he flew back towards the hopital, he spotted Shinja and began to fly in thier direction
"finally found them"
Lowering his altitude he landed nto too far ahead of Shinja and the others he was with. Walking towards them his wings folded up and vanished.
"Shinja, Maki isnt at the hospital anymore something happened and she ran off as she was sleeping. She is fine now, she is at a beach with Fira. She wants you to come with me."
Turning his head he saw a women which looked like the women Kyana he could see from his fathers memory.
"You must be Kyana if my fathers memories serve me right. My name is Zetsuei, Im Greed's son."

Maki rested peacefully. No nightmares ... no strange voices speaking to her... just the sounds of the waves crashing against the shores. In and out ... in sync with her breathing. Her body regaining its strength as her system began producing and replacing the blood lost. Though tainted still. Being away from the hospital she can finally sleep soundly, though in the distance she can still hear the cries of an infant.

"Greeds son eh? I am surprised you would recognise me even from your fathers memory."
Kyana looked back at kisaragi.
"I promise you we will quickly look into this then we will find your sister"
Kyana looked back to greeds son
"How bad is makis infection? Luckily you lok well I wouldnt have been surprised if the infection was passed by energies as well as physichal comabt. That is good that you are not. I fear a great number are infected. At this time I can only say that I would recommend finding the temple of phoenix perhaps the residual energies or the monks could help, Alas as i said to shinja though I have no idea where it is and I do not know who might."
