Kara didn't seem to notice the other Hououza in the distance and closed her salmon eyes, continuing the song.

Carl nodded in what he hoped was a polite way.
"That sort of twinkling noise?" he asked. "Yeah... I heard it. Do you want to go and see what's happening?" he proposed.

Shiro nodded, though she hadn't exactly heard what he had said, "Sounds almost like singing.." She was a bit more surprised by it than she should be. There were other females out there, she knew that, but it was that this one, she thought it was a girl at least, was singing. Kuroi had mentioned something about when she had stopped singing herself, why had she anyway?

Carl sighed. He could hear the words of the song now, too.
More girls... were there only girls in this place?
Where are the boys, he wanted to scream. He suddendly felt really, really bored.

Shiro hopped down from the branch, heading toward the voice with a curious frown, "Hello? Anyone out there?" She hadn't forgotten about the boy, he just didn't seem too thrilled with her, or the mysterious voice for that matter, maybe she had better get Kuroi to come out of his studio.

Carl followed the girl slowly. Maybe she was going to meet the other singing girl and go away with her... this was fine for him, he thought. He was going to leave as soon as possible and try to convince Gwena to play with him.

Shiro settled to a stop a few yards away from the unfamiliar girl, absently calling Kuroi to come see to the younger boy. She sat down against the base of a tree, spreading her skirt over her knees calmly. "Hi there." She said quietly, hoping she wouldn't disturb the girl.
Kuroi came toward the spot in the forest, running because he thought something was wrong. He wasn't sure why he'd come, but Shiro probably needed his help. And in his hurry, he nearly slammed into the younger boy, skidding to a stop about a foot short.

Carl's thoughts were interrupted abruptly when a stranger boy nearly bumped into him.
He raised his hands instinctively, then felt silly for it.
"Hey... be careful" he muttered.

[Sorry for disappearing. My computer had a heart attack or something. O_o;;]
Kara jumped and immediately sat up, nervously smoothing down the skirt of her long salmon dress and staring up at the blonde-haired Shiro. Wow...another Houzouza! For the first time in her life, she was meeting another Hououza like herself! Smiling shyly, her cheeks painted a delicate shade of rose, she replied in a soft voice, "Hello..."

Shiro smiled, drawing her knees up to her chest, "My name's Shiro." She tried to think of something to say, "That was a nice song." It wasn't exactly a brilliant compliment, but she thought it would spark a conversation well enough.

Hikaro nodded and waved to the two boys. "It's good to see you." He said, grinning,
"Nice landing." Haku added to Takato, appearing almost owl like himself with his wide glasses. Both boys laughed airily a little, not much ever seemed to change.
"Hikaro!" a voice from behind him called loudly. Whirling, the sunny hououza spotted the first other like him he had ever met, Ryo! Hardly able to contain his boundless joy at his meeting the other man, Hikaro nearly flew to him, coasting lightly over the ground, and grabbed his friend in a great hug.
Haku smiled and shook his head as Hikaro gave Ryo a friendly squeeze and let go, beaming brightly.
"It'sbeensolonghowhaveyoubeenhowisRiverviewisitneatcanIcomevisitsometimehowlongareyoustaying?!" Hikaro spouted off at least a half dozen questions within a single breath, exuberant at the reunion.

Ryo grinned. It'd been a long time since he'd seen his friend.
"Slow it down Hikaro, I barely understood what you just said. I've been fine, a little bored, but fine, nonetheless."
Natu tried to hold back a snicker. Bored? More like extremely depressed and moody.
"Riverview's okay, but it's a web of islands, so if you're stuck and a disaster happens, you're done for. Not that they haven't thought about that. You can come and visit any time, just don't pop up on our doorstep without any sort of knowing that you're coming. Riddle doesn't really like unexpected guests. I'll be here for a while."
