((Nope. The dam was one some special, super powered type. This one is basically big, heavily armored, and strong. But not "My punches will bring down a dam" strong. Consider it maybe, equal to the typical 'strongman' on Gaia? Or ask a shade mod expert...))

Vahn Kyonuske There is two seperate peices of large debris headed for us, and your ******** busy trying to some WWF s**t on ******** pay attention to posts before I burn your face off and leave you for dead. You yanked Vahn's ankles, didn't burn your hands off and I landed on the ground, and dealt with the rock the dunce wanted to crush me flat with. Deal with your s**t. (Actually, I intend to get hit. Of course, as you do your Cyclops thing which you said nothing about, I will pull you down and throw the elbow AS I GET HIT, which--a getup elbow--not WWF s**t, jackass, learn how to fight, not just pose and throw useless attacks--takes just under a second and a half to execute from a prone position. I'm perfectly fine with that and will edit my post accordingly.)

Flare finally heard the sounds of the commotion below, decided this was probably all some vapour induced dream when the paper dolls spoke, and rose to her feet.
She walked casually towards the opening that led to the lower level and leapt down in, opening her injured wings to slow her fall.
The dim red glow around her hands grew even brighter as she held her fire, taking a moment to figure out who was friend and who was foe.
Naturally, her body was tense, prepared to avoid incoming attacks and retaliate in kind.
((I assume I'm coming down into the center of the room you all are charging into, from above.))

((Since I'm not really engaged with anyone or anything right now, I'm just going to post freely.))
Now having a clearing shot of the front of the fortress from the structures left side, Stryphe gave his shade minions orders to follow the enemy inside the structure.
"Do what you do best," He said, "and get there quick. Take care."
The three knights ran off towards the entrance of the fortress, ready to send a darkmatter sickle into the backside of anyone trying to take down a fellow Shade.
Stryphe followed them at a slower pace and more towards the area in front of the fortress rather than the fortress entrance itself. He shouldered his halberd and rolled his shoulders, preparing to start really moving. His breathing was a little heavy from the long run, but it was nothing that would slow him down.
From what he could tell, there was a man he'd breifly fought with the day before and two others. He recognized only one- it was the man who'd be nearly dead when a centaur'd dropped him off at that temple. At that one place. The last was a man who loved his alcohol- Stryphe had seen him very breifly when going through the Shade camp.
That left Mooo. Stryphe pointed his left index finger at the man, took careful aim, and launched a green needle of energy at the ground between Mooo and Vahn.
"HEY!" scream
Hopefully that'd be fair warning. The needle would fly like an arrow, only straighter. About a second after hitting the ground it would explode with minimum force- just barely enough to send both the fighters flying away from eachother a few meters, depending on how heavy they were.
A small crater would be left in the ground, though- it was apparent that the needle of energy was meant to blow things up from the inside.
((Now I'm interracting and will fall into the singular fight post order, with my shades on the faction post order.))

Hakan, on the other hand, had bolted as soon as Shouyin breached the wall enough that the Shade noticed. And, as one would assume, he bolted. Around any of the moving stone he went, making his way up the stairs and past the decending Flare. To turn again once he reached the top, the bow pulled back and an arrow there, aiming down past Flare at anyone who might be making themselves a target. Hopefully he'd he harder to hit, from his higher vantage point.
"...dammit, dammit, couldn't they at least let us have a nap or something...?"

(( Going fast as i can... ))
The Null mage keeping track of Quin took a little while to power up it's next spell, giving it's quarry plenty of time to close ground with the fortress. This was perfectly fine, as the spell didn't has as much range as most. Holding both arms out, a faint black bubble encased a good 20ft wide space of the ruins in that area. Within this bubble everything suddenly began being pulled to it's center with enough force to tear the masonry of the rubble apart. If Quin wasn't fast enough on his feet to get the hell out of dodge, or at least find something rooted enough to hold onto, his middle name was going to become "Katamari".
The Ice Bishop facing Shouyin was rather taken by surprise by the walls suddenly turning against it. It canceled the firehose spell and tried to conjur some kind of ice armor for itself, but basically just got the ever living crap pummelled out of it. However, the other Ice Bishop had taken notice of Shouyin and chanted a spell while the beating began. Those few moments were enough time to get off a moderately strong spell. Basically it was a flash-freeze, attempting to encase the invader in a solid block of ice.
Jacob was pretty well making a mistake in attempting to get into the front door like that. The Shades weren't exactly hanging back waiting for him to look around and make some well place shots, they decended on him instantly. The three with shields charged forwards, shields up and ready, the one with the two hander right behind them. The three would stab from behind their sheilds, minding any attacks thrown their way as defense was their primary concern. The fourth however made a powerful lunging stab between two of them, and would definately run Jacob through if he didn't move.
Four of the archers now moved back from the battlements and into the structure, setting up position near the back of the fort to shoot at any targets inside of it. The other four outside layed down fire on anyone who might show their head from the ruins, and would be ready to release arrows the second anyone did. The Second Null Bishop also hovered out over the inside of the fort, floating somewhere above and behind the group defending the entrance.
To the soldiers with heat vision, the Shades would probably look like the exact opposite of all the silly mammals. Massive cold spots would give away their positions just as well, especially if they were between Vahn and the soldiers.

Kaminosai (( Going fast as i can... )) The Null mage keeping track of Quin took a little while to power up it's next spell, giving it's quarry plenty of time to close ground with the fortress. This was perfectly fine, as the spell didn't has as much range as most. Holding both arms out, a faint black bubble encased a good 20ft wide space of the ruins in that area. If Quin wasn't fast enough on his feet to get the hell out of dodge, or at least find something rooted enough to hold onto, his middle name was going to become "Katamari". ((Can't ask for more.)) Durring that weaving path Quin had drawn his flintlock once more and when he was at an angle to were he could see the Null mage he noticed something. Something wasn't quite right. It was as though the stars themselves were failing to provide what little light they could. Then there was the pull, well damn it all. He had gotten this far and there was no way he'd be taken down so easily. Even as the tug became greater to pull him to a center of some almost unseen bubble Quin fired the round. Green fire tinged with the very substance of dark magic flamed from the bore of the weapon. The recoil throwing him to a point where he had his head and a part of a arm out of the bubble. "Damn..." That little chunk of warstone had been more potent then the last. It had most likely sat for a long time under great pressure; but Quin had other things to deal with. Such as the fact that he was still being dragged to the center. On his back he rolled and drove the cross guard of his sword into the ground and began to pull himself out of the destructive element. The blade was glowing now, the weapon was primed. Now he would just need to release it.

Popcorn.
Someone was cooking popcorn in Vahn's general vicinity?
No, it couldn't be...
The pop pop pop continued; the sound of gunfire amidst the ruins. Having taken up position at the edge of them, the UGH soldiers were taking aim at the battlements, firing at the shades who were on higher ground.
As the new group had retreated to the outer battlements to fire down on those inside, this made them the prime targets for the trained combattants.
Pop pop pop! Popcorn! Two men carried assault rifles, one carried an SMG, and the third hauled along a minigun with him. These were not your average troops.
"Sir, additional forces."
"Rout them."
"Sir!"
There was a heavy clack as the minigun set up against a piece of stone jutting from the ground... and then a heavy spray that lit up the night as the anti-infantry weapon tore through its ammunition, creating a swath of gunfire that hailed down upon the corner of the complex that the three Shade Warriors were attempting to round.

Kami frowned at the massive blast Vahn put forth. That would really never do. He almost felt sorry for the poor guy in all honesty.
Almost.
Holding his arm out, the rest of the fire-reflection wards flew out of Kami's sleeve and swarmed Vahn. There were roughly five times as many as the first group, which meant there was a good 3-4 dozen of them now. He made most of the metal reflection wards in his robes line the clothing, which would hopefully work as decent enough armor for whatever came his way. Now he just had to get the hell back inside, to which the only problem was that Vahn was still holding his staff...

Indeed, there was not time for a well placed shot. Instead there was the half-random double-tap, which proved itself unnecessary anyways.
On the more important (and rather pointy) side of things, Jacob had approximately one second to note that he was about to be impaled by a unified wall of shields, and the two-hander. He wouldn't have noticed the charging shades from outside indeed, except for the mangled half-cry half-roar and somehow part-squak of "SQUISH"
This, and a massive form moving from the corner of his eye. All the information piled into one very important, very clear fact: he had to break right (away from the doorway on his left), and fast. He did exactly that, kicking off from the ground with extremely fine-tuned instints, at the same time twisting with his left hand, the axe-head coming down with downright stunning might horizontally as he broke away from the sudden tangle of shade-blades, dodging them all relatively easily: they were all trying to skewer him at once. The axe-blow was aimed into the monstrous head of the big one-- and he fully expected the blade to hew its "skull" right off. His other hand was occupied by bringing it in an arc forwards, intercepting the greatsword-armed shade's two-handed thrust neatly, and letting the force of its blow slide off the buckler like water from a ducks back, possibly into the wall which held his back.
Part of him noted how insane this was, the others coming from above and below, but another part noted how the Shades had fired despite his full concealment before. They had excellent night vision, but it probably wasn't perfect.
That, and there were two other things in the room which were probably bad for his health. And, so, he did the only thing he could do with magic, his low-cost, low-yeild power: he turned the lights off in that corner of the room, a sudden blot of darkness concealing the entire affair, roughly twenty feet out. He himself crouched and rolled close to the ground away, moving out from the center of the darkness-- these shades had all used horizontal blows and thrusts on him. Those moves should be, in part, negated by his evasion..
At this point, it would be a running battle, thinning the numbers until he could actually enter the thick of it. Right now, he had to be mobile.
