Hiei stared out into the darkness. He wished it was morning. But it didn't come true. He would have to wait.

He too thought of what would happen when they got back. Make the wish, kill the females, return home, have hot cocoa, take a nap. A fine plan. He found himself smirking momentarily.

Afraid of letting the cuffs heat up any more, he stopped the flow of warmth from his body. He waited about a minute before beginning again. Though he couldn't understand it, he felt bad. He knew they would've had to go in the water anyway, but suddenly Kurama seemed so delicate.

"If they do not grant our wish, don't be surprised if I kill them."

He spoke more to show that he was still Hiei, and still angry.

Kurama smiled, realizing that he couldn't stay caring for too long. Somehow, it would kill him. "Don't be surprised if I help you."

He truly would, even though the comment seemed to be a teasing one. The fox didn't mind the extra time with Hiei, but as for the games... well, to put it nicely, revenge was needed.

And he thought the youkai might find his rarely-shown violent side amusing.

"I'll burn the child to a crisp. Then your plants can have her," Hiei decided. They would pay for all of this. You didn't turn Hiei's sister into an infant, trap him in your house, then get him stuck in a forest, cold and cuffed to someone else without it being a death wish.

"As for the woman, I'm still thinking of what I want to do to her."

"Sounds nice," Kurama said serenely. His Youko aspect was more taking part in this, rather than the sweet, nice Shuuichi. For what they had done, death was ideal, yes?

What to do to Kasai? He thought for a moment, but couldn't think of anything good enough. And then an idea hit him. "You could start with your sword, slicing her deeply, then I could use my plants to irritate the wounds, puting her in agony... and then we could end it, after she has suffered enough, with your dragon."

His eyes flashed gold for a moment. The kitsune hadn't gone into detail, not wanting to ramble too much, but his words did hold passion. How cruel it may be didn't matter; he was nearly freezing because of her.

But laying next to Hiei was nice.

Hiei blinked. Even though the detail wasn't extreme, it did sound a little dark for the red-head. It seemed like the Youko was getting a bit restless. He wondered when Kurama had last let himself into that form.

"Yes, I think my dragon would be the perfect way to end her life."

He flexed his hand, looking down at his arm. It had been a long time since he last used the dragon. His arm tingled with anticipation.

Kurama nodded in agreement, doubting that he would mind watching over the Jaganshi while he was weakened.

The Youko seemed to leave his thoughts, and the cynical hint in his attitude left, as well. He wasn't so sure the women wouldn't grant them the wish, so it may not come to violence. Kasai only seemed interested in Kurama and Hiei, who she hadn't released.

The red-head watched his arm, feeling the small flare in it's energy. Certainly, Hiei was looking forward to killing.

((Okay! Skippeth.))

Hiei had fallen asleep some time during the night, though he hadn't really meant to. He'd wanted to stay up and make sure Kurama didn't die. Luckily, that didn't happen.

The jaganshi awoke, feeling day upon his face. He was relieved. Now they could head back and soon it would all be over.

Realizing why he felt so heavy, he managed to move Kurama slightly so that he wasn't weighing him down. The fox wasn't heavy, but he was bigger than the koorime.

His breath hitched, though, as a lock of red hair brushed against his face. It was soft, and had surprised him.

Feeling Hiei move, the fox had risen off of him, allowing him some space. His clothes had dried, and there wasn't the need for them to keep close, though he really wouldn't mind if they did. But the fire demon wouldn't feel the same, and he respected that.

It seemed to be early, much before noon. More than likely around eight or nine, and he was oddly surprised to find the other awake. But this would mean they had to head back to the castle, which he wasn't looking forward to.

He gave the Koorime a look, then greeted him with a simple, "Good morning, Hiei."

Hiei was glad that the other had gotten off of him. Without bothering to offer any sort of response to the 'good morning,' he stood up, taking Kurama with him of course. He wanted to head back immediately.

Without a word, the Koorime began walking. He was currently in a more fitting unsociable mood and didn't care to waste his breath speaking. All he wanted to do was get to the castle as quickly as possible.

He tugged on the binding roughly, a signal that he was not messing around. Twigs snapped helplessly under his boots, and he didn't even veer to avoid a tree as it scraped his shoulder.

Kurama winced slightly, though the tug hadn't hurt horribly. It was more to make the other realize exactly how rough he had been. But the kitsune couldn't blame him for the attitude... and actually, he was grateful that he acted this pleasant.

He walked more quickly, trying to keep up, and not saying a word. The fox kept a good eye on the forest floor, making sure the Koorime didn't lead him into anything, such as a tree. Because then, in his mood, it would somehow end up being that he was clumsy.

Hiei had not seen the wince. He simply growled and continued on, wishing he could just clear a path and get there faster. Looking up slightly, he tried to make out the form of the castle past the trees. He was sure he could see it.

He had a strange aching in his legs, like he wanted to run. Being connected to Kurama made that impossible, so he walked along as fast as he could, now grabbing the fox's sleeve to keep him up.

In his other hand was the Sharpie, small and smooth. He still didn't understand. Sure, keys made sense. Magical artifacts, pieces even. But a writing instrument?
PostPosted: Mon Aug 21, 2006 5:39 pm

Surely if they went any faster, the fox would have to break into a run. He wondered briefly if something he had done had caused the mood, but finally decided that it was simple impatience. Seemed he was in a hurry to get to the castle and interact with the rather irritating psychic.

Kurama wasn't sure what the consequences would be, but couldn't resist teasing him. Never could when he was being like this. "If you intend to continue dragging me, you may as well carry me."

He was very obviously kidding, especially with the almost cynical smirk, but wasn't sure the fire demon would take it that way.

Hiei turned to glare. "I am not carrying you," he spat. "And unless you really want me to drag you, keep up."

He gripped the other's sleeve harder now, his knuckles whitening. Initially he was going to ignore anything that Kurama said until they got to the castle. But that statement had been so utterly ridiculous that he had to express himself. Carry him? Had the cold damaged his brain?

Kurama rolled his eyes, the threat not bothering him. Though in this mood, he didn't doubt that the youkai would drag him. Already he was practically doing so.

When the castle came into clear sight, he was relieved. Only a few moments before they would separate them, and for their own good, return their family to their normal ages. Because otherwise, they were essentially dragon bait.

Seeing the castle only made Hiei go faster. Small sparks of something flickered at his fingertips and his arm tingled again. He would not mind killing them at all. He approached the door to the castle and stopped in front of it. Realizing he was still holding onto Kurama rather tightly, he released his hold.
