Hey, I've got a question that doesn't have to do with Armored Companies. I usually amp up my IG with special and heavy weapons, but how many people don't ? Are there any specific uses or advantages to taking 10 men with lasguns ? I'd like to hear your thoughts on the subject.

I only own one lascannon and one missle launcher they are in seperate platoons and squads. I use sentinals for carrying the heavy weapons cause they can move and fire. Also watchin 60-100 crazed guys with lasguns led by a sgt with a bolter or bolt pistol is scary for the other guy. My mates play SM mostly and they die pretty quick although if they get me into CC I die pretty fast....

In my optimal army (Which I can only run in small games because of lack of men...) I dont use any heavy weapons. Grenade launchers and other assaulty type weapons are the only things I have heavier than a flashlight. The only tanks I use are the ones with the flamers.

Lozt_1 Use conscripts they are larger cheap squads of meat... DH can't include Conscript platoons. You can only get them if you have IG as the main force. If you really want to make your opponent sweat, take maxed- out platoons. They're expensive, but if you use Tyranid "small bug" tactics things will even out quickly.

I only have DH codex as PDF and have not read it. The witch hunters is pretty much the same I think but it is the wifes dex so I dont read it either... I know I can use any of her units in my BT or IG army... I thought it doubled back the same way...

DH (and even WH) can't use all the units in a given codex, and you lose a lot of options if you opt for allied DH or WH- notably DH and WH heavy support.

They are stored on my PC and reading the tiny words in adobe is hard on the eyes. I will print it out later and give it a read through though...

I don't see how the text on pages 30-31 is that hard to read- its in 18 point... Unless you're having trouble with the zoom feature. But might I make a better suggestion? Buy the zoggin codices! stressed

I run a club here and when New people come along and say well my codex says and they conveniantly leave it home I can pull it up on the laptop and check to be sure they are not cheating...

Now this is a story I just couldn't keep to myself. I just finished up with a 2vrs 2 game 750 pts each. I was playing a stripped down version of my 1000 pt army and my ally was a deathwing player. We were fighting against a Tau player and an eldar player who made a very nice assualt army. Now the Deathwing player at the end of the game was left with only his commander living while the sum total of his kills was 2 gun drones, 4 kroot and 5 warp spiders. I lost 4 guardsmen and killed 1 squad of Banshees, 1 squad of dire avengers, 1 farseer and his 2 body guards, 1 wraithlord, 1 broadside battlesuit and it's 2 drones adn a Falcon grav tank. I would have had an even larger amount of kills but the other players didn't want to fight on to the bitter end. so we called it quits after the Broadside failed a 2+ save against my battle cannon.

Quick question, was it the deathwing that drew the most fire in your alliance?
