Phlip572 Just for the sake of having a recent answer, I'll take an almost totally random stab at one of the trivia questions.
Is rc4 Shikoku? (I like that name because, as I recall, it's one of the bosses in 1943). swing and a miss but that does eliminate one anyway.

Because it's a Japanese-made video game about World War II where you fight on the Allied side shooting down Japanese bombers and strafing Japanese war ships in the battle of Midway. Kyushu (in the game) was a carrier with some big-a** guns, or a battleship with a couple of fighter launchers. Whether the Japanese really had a massive war ship called the Kyushu in WW2, well, hell if I know... q4 is Jill from Berserk.
