Koichi chuckled, feeling the slight squeeze she'd given his hand. "Are you sure you're alright?" he asked, putting a hand on her head; his favorite action. "Come now, something is bothering you, isn't it?" he continued, "Tell me, won't you?" He didn't expect her to tell him, to just brush it off, but he felt the need to ask, incase she ended up really telling him; that'd be worth asking.

Kana bit her lip, closing her eyes as he set his hand upon her head. "It's... nothing," she said quietly, voice falling back to a whisper. She didn't move for a moment, and then slowly let her head fall to the side, so it was resting against him. She wasn't sure if it was because of the fever making her dizzy or just... because she wanted to. She kept her eyes shut as she breathed slowly through her mouth, tail flicking behind her and ears flattened back just slightly. She was still extremely confused, but she might be starting to figure things out a little.

[:dies: sorry. my dad decided not to leave till 1.45 ><]
"You're not sick still, are you?" Koichi asked her softly, rubbing his hand against the back of her head, as though she were crying and he was consoling her; it really was like they were just brother and sister. He wasn't sure if he should allow the two of them to keep walking, or make her go back to his room and rest to get the fever down. So confusing... he thought, refering to the fact he, himself, had no experiance at all with treating an illness.

[It's ok. I was freaking out all morning because my laptop won't start up. So, I'm on the home, family computer right now. ><;;]
"I'm fine, I'm fine..." Kana breathed faintly, feeling his hand shift to the back of her head instead of the top. She wasn't sure if she really was fine or not, but she didn't want him to worry about it. And if she was stuck in bed, then she'd be unable to think of anything besides illness, and would eventually break down in tears. She really didn't want that just yet. So she just left her head leaning against him, her eyes still closed. Though, wherever he decided to lead her, she'd just trail obediently along at his side.

[ whee ]
Koichi sighed before he actually did start moving towards the direction they'd picked. He wanted to know what she was really thinking, and to know why she refused to tell him she was sick over and over; he didn't want to tap into her mind, either, so it was a lost cause. As they reached the railing, he made a right again, leading her even further into the estate; he didn't think standing still would make her feel any better. What else is there for me to do?

[My dad's gonna look at it when he gets home. I'm going to die if he can't! Dx]
Kana moved along beside him, not lifting her head and not opening her eyes. One of her hands moved to lightly clutch at the side of his shirt, as if fearing to be seperated. She didn't know where they were going, but she didn't really care. She was fairly content right now, except for the fact she couldn't breathe though her nose and was feeling a little dizzy. She kept this to herself, though she knew it probably would have been a good idea to tell him. She could very easily be making her condition worse right now.

[well, then, good luck with that o.O hope it gets fixed ><]
Koichi continued to lead her down the hall, the noise of the kids playing dying out already, the only sound anywhere being that of the rushing waters that seemed to be everywhere, and the tapping of their feet against the floor. He wanted to take her out, to a lake that was somewhere out in china, thinking it'd make her feel better to lie in the water, but he figured after a moment it'd be better not to; he just remembered she didnt' like water. I have to be able to do something for her.

[I hope so too... Gah, so delayed! Dx]
Kana's ears twitched as she took in the surrounding noises, but really heard only water and their footsteps. She remained silent herself for a while longer, and then slowly peeked an eye open towards him. "Um, K-Koichi?" she began in less than a whisper, but then her face flushed red and she quickly shut her eyes again. "Nevermind..." What was she going to say? It was extremely odd, but she wasn't even sure. She was just glad she'd stopped herself, though now he'd be sure to be wondering about it.

[so am i, don't worry xDD I needa send out welcome letters..i'm delayed by 3 days on that... sweatdrop ]
Koichi looked down at her when he heard his name, but then blinked a few times before chuckling slighty. "If you insist," he said simply, not wanting to push her to tell him what was going to be said. "Kitty, are you still afraid of the water? Or would you be willing to go to a small waterfall and lake with me... I mean, I hear the lake does wonders for sick people," he said, looking down at her; he really did believe she'd get better if he brought her there. "You don't have to if you don't want to, it's just a thought," he added, not wanting her to think it was a necessity.

[I'm in four other threads right now. Maybe five. >>;;]
Kana gazed up at him for a moment, blinking her eyes several times and then nodding her head. "O-ok!" she cried. "I need... to learn to swim anyway, right?" She smiled at him, though her face was still red and she was still kind of wondering what she had been about to say to him. It surely hadn't been anything serious, right? She pushed the thoughts away and tilted her head at him. "How far is it?"

[><'' i'm sorry, but i'll have to get off in... 45 minutes or so... i'll be back on later at like, 7 or 8 i believe would be safest xD]
Koichi just looked at her, suddenly stopped walking as well, in shock. She actually said yes? He chuckled as he regained himself, and smiled at her. "Well, it's pretty far. We can, however, get there the same way we came here," he said, pulling her close as he started concentrating. [i'm skipping all the wind and stuff xD] After a few moments, they appeared in a clearing, sun shinning gently down on them, the smell of pines surrounding them. The chirps of birds and the russling sound of bushes were the only other sounds, besides the rushing water that seemed to come from behind them. Koichi turned, smiling, as he pointed to the lake that lay a few feet away. "That's the lake," he said simply; the shore was a little longer than expected, and pretty shallow, but it seemed to suddenly drop as it neared the waterfall at it's other end. Not only that, but the rocks seemed to cave inwards behind the fall, indicating it was the mouth of a cave.

[K, I'll most likely be here.]
Kana stopped as well, glancing up at him curiously as he laughed. Was it really all that surprising? She'd gone to the beach with him before... Though, she hadn't actually done much swimming then. She felt her ears droop slightly as he said it was pretty far, but her eyes widened at the suggestion which soon followed. Before she could say anything, he'd grabbed her and seemed to be concentrating. She clung to him tightly, eyes pressed shut and face against his chest. But then her ears perked as she heard birds and other sounds of nature. She blinked in confusion, pulling her head back and looking up at him. She turned as he pointed out the lake and her eyes widened further before she let out a sudden laugh. "How do you do that?" she grinned.

"The same way you can fly," Koichi grinned. He led the two of them over to the edge of the lake, where he removed his shoes before taking off his shirt again; he'd get his pants wet without a care, but he felt going in with his shirt was weird. He stepped into the water, which automatically went up to slightly above his ankles, and turned around with a hand extended to Kana. "Coming in, Kitty?" he asked softly, hoping she would; he really wanted her to rid herself of the fever, and he hoped the rumors of the lake were true and would allow it.
[it's up to you weither it works or not xD]

[Hehe, K. I'll think about it. xD]
Kana stared at his offered hand for a moment, blushing as he removed his shirt. She couldn't help letting the image of when she'd woken up flash through her head again. She stared at the ground, then at a random tree, and finally almost hesitantly back to his hand. Then she smiled faintly and stepped foward, accepting it carefully. She didn't wear shoes so she didn't have to take any off, but she did pause suddenly as she realized something else. She didn't mind her clothing getting wet, but she was wearing her locket. "I-I need somewhere safe to put this!" she exclaimed suddenly, her hand clutching the silver heart shaped jewerly.

Koichi looked around, wondering if there was any place to put it. His eyes fell on his shoes, though, as he nodded towards them. "We can keep it there, put my shirt over it, and perhaps keep it at the base of that tree," he said, indicating one that seemed jutted out from the bushes behind it. "If that's okay, anyway," he added, not sure if she'd want to do that; there really was, though, no other place to keep it, or at least he couldn't think of anywhere better.
